Thankyou so much. Came upon this whilst browsing and it has solved a conundrum that I have been trying to solve myself with clunky results!! I've been trying to create a pie where 2 sides open simultaneously to reveal the contents. Although it needs tweeking, to disguise some of the workings, this mechanism works really well

You're back!! I'm so excited!! I've really missed your videos. I've used your tutorials to make cards for my grandson. He loves them. Thank you for your excellent tutorials! Since you asked, I'd love to see more. In fact I have a birthday card I need to make in a couple months that I really could use some help with. The inside is to be a couple of octopus tentacles. One tentacle holding a cowbell & the other a drum stick that would strike the cowbell. I think the clapping hands might be adapted for it, but would really love for it to make that motion just opening the card. Is this even possible?
Thanks! Wow, that's a really specific request. I may have another mechanism that would work for the action of striking the cowbell. I'll try working on that tutorial soon so that you can use it for your card. Keep crafting!

Thanks for checking my channel again. That hiatus was about 6 months long. I needed to focus on my day job and also recharge. Frankly, I think I will be taking periodic hiatuses just to keep the content fresh. I don't want to burn out because consistent content creation is exhausting. I will give a time frame of any coming breaks I need to take so that you know when I plan on returning. For now, I'm just trying to get back into the groove of making new videos. What other channels do you watch?

Thank you for your tutorial. I'm wondering if you can help me with the clapping hands. Hopefully you can, if not it's ok. I think I do everything in your tutorial but I have a problem. One hand claps more than the other meaning they don't reach in the center. So one hand claps normal while the other hand claps partially. I dd this tutorial twice but failed to fix it. TY. 😀
Hi. Thanks for watching my video. At the beginning of the video when I first started to mark the card with the ruler, I found the middle of the card, marked that and then equidistant from the middle, the two other marks (one to the right and one to the left). These two have to be the exact same distance from the middle so that the hands can touch in the middle. If that's what you did and it still doesn't work, post a picture of the mechanism here and I'll try to see what may have gone wrong. Good luck!

I've tried my hand at sewing, knitting and cooking but I'm better at watching others do those crafts. I think I'm one of the few people in the history of the world, I don't really prefer coffee. Everyone I know loves coffee, though.
