She did have a few happy years with husband Rex Bell & had two children. But when Rex became active in politics, she couldn't take life back in the public eye. She eventually went into seclusion on a large estate, with a nurse, and died at 60 of a heart attack. She wasn't schizophrenic. Possibly manic depressive.
I’m curious if she was one of the first victims of the entertainment industry’s dark secrets. A tell tale sign is her being “diagnosed” with schizophrenia. This is a very common tool of prominent people, used to manipulate and discredit people who’ve they’re losing ‘control’ over.
She discovered Gary Cooper and insisted that he played in a film with her and once people saw how handsome he was ...the rest was history he became USAs higest paid actor and I often wonder if he appreciated what Clara did for him..
Because Ive studied the 20s extensively i couldn't help but notice Clara Bows life and how popular she was during this era. This short bio is quite deceptive. Ms Bow was different than her other artistic colleagues. Unlike her famous coworkers clara would invite janitors and other people with humble jobs. Her famous friends were aghast and stopped showing up to her dinner parties. They didn't want to waste their time hobnobbing with the riff raff on their movie sets. Soon Clara was ostracized. Actors told producers they wouldn't work with her and producers complied. Without work and " friends" she became depressed. At that time being depressed wasn't considered a mental illness. Clara had the savvy and sophistication to know the doctor was wrong. She was not delusional or schizophrenic. She was ostracized and couldn't get any work. She married another actor Rex Bell and had 2 sons and was an excellent mother. They moved to the las Vegas desert. Her last son died just a few years ago in his 80s. He was a goid deed doer and used his professional career to help the underdog just like his mother. Clara didn't consider herself better than others. A humble gal from the Bronx.
@@christinanielsen1917 ostracized for not being a social climber. Ostracized for not being a snob. Ostracized for being a genuine caring person. Gary Cooper owed his success to Clara for spotting him and insisting that he be given a role in one of her films.
Jean Harlow had, I think, scarlet fever when she was still a child. The theory is that this caused kidney damage that nobody really understood she had. The condition was probably aggravated by a habit of heavy drinking, Jean died of kidney failure at only 26 years old.
Her brows are beautiful & uniquely her very 1920's and same could be said for thay dumb trend when woman along with men wanted to walk around with big thick ugly brows which they all thought we're sexy looking🥴🤢🙅🏻♀️
