@Kevin K I was more impressed with Blasey Ford who described an actual sexual assault- Anita Hill struck me as someone who was too hard nosed to be truly bothered by someone who really just asked her out more times than he should have. No one hates a black conservative more than a toxic feminist.

There was a lot of corroborating evidence of her account. Kavanaugh clearly lied about the devils triangle, the extent of his drinking and other issues that was on oath. I went back to this because I was so impressed by Thomas's conduct under fire which is the 'stuff' i expect from a high ranking law officer as against Kavanaugh who came across like a drunken, beligerent, whiney, entitled dumb, rich frat boy. Wasn't he her boss at the time? I imagine she probably was trying to further her career as well. Most people act pretty dumb when there are power dynamics at play, or it might not be dumb because of the power dynamic. I'm not sure what the climate was in the 80s for a woman to come out about sexual harassment either, but that could be a factor as well.

On balance, who has the most to gain from lying? Thomas has every reason to lie to protect himself from the disgrace of his alleged behaviour. As it is with most offenders, deny everything! On the other hand, Hill has nothing to gain from false accusations, other than justice. I totally believe her version!

With all that was said in court at that time during Anita Hill's case, Thomas got a chair in the suprime court to make laws for the people of this country. What was wrong with those men in that room ????

As a Black person, I noticed that, too. There was no need to mention and remind that they were both articulate. Everyone listening to them talk knew that. The journalist or news caster made it seem like it's an amazing thing for a Black person to be articulate as if that's odd. Crazy.

Weapons of Mass Destruction was another hoax sewn by the media. Today it happens with the instant internet. Back then, it took until the paper hit the newsstand or the 6 o'clock news cycle on TV. Both sides did it, so it wasn't a left or right thing. I guess what is scary, society in general has become slaves to media, drama, and controversy, and trust whatever "news" people say. In time, truth comes out. It's always hiding in there. True journalism, not activist journalism, is the only defense we the people have to prevent government corruption from running unchecked.
