It's not that respect worthy. The heavyweights are a thinner division, especially for women. The only way she could find someone to seriously compete with is if she dropped a lot of weight. That's not feasible. She wants more belts and to further cement her legacy and this is her only realistic option. There isn't going to be a heavyweight fight that she won't be able to dominate. Her options are: go up in weight, tread water, retire.

Don't get me wrong, she's extending her legacy, but...is there any chance she's not going to dominate? I accept your point though. The number of weight classes alone is special. It's just this particular weight class change that isn't as special as the previous ones.
Keep it real about three days ago. I was having a conversation with my wife about Clarissa shield being an all-time athlete. In fact, I was referring to three women, Simone, Biles, Serena Williams, and Clarissa shields. I believe that they are the greatest athlete on the planet.
Stop. You're pandering to women. Serena is retired so she's no longer an athlete and they play less sets in tennis. Simone is a gymnast (which I don't watch so I can't agree or disagree) , and Clarissa is usually the larger more athletic woman in EVERY one of her fights but has very few actual K.O.s. Been watching boxing since 1985 and that absolutely matters in terms of greatness. I actually watch women's boxing and it unlike women's tennis is still decades behind men's boxing so she can't be in greatest athlete conversations. They still fight ten 2 minute rounds. So they literally have a 20min fight vs a 36min fight and that tosses you out of any conversation as best athlete. Womens olympic athletes are on equal footing as men so they can be considered on those lists but as long as you only have to do 30-50% of the same sport you just can't be mentioned.
the thing about female weight class, is that I saw on wikipedia and it shows the weight class as this. Female boxers who weigh over 175 pounds (79 kg; 12 st 7 lb) are considered heavyweights by 2 of the 4 major boxing organizations: the IBF and the WBC. The WBA and WBO don't have a female heavyweight world title but another thing i found on wiki says this female boxing current champions Super middleweight (168 lb/76.2 kg) Light Heavyweight (175 lb/79.4 kg) Heavyweight (+200 lb/+90.7 kg or +168 lb/+76.2 kg) that doesn't make sense.
She basically the female version of floyd mayweather and i dont see her losing. Her will is to strong and her boxing level is on a different planet. Both fighters do not have losing in there mind and they making it a point to where their not going to lose

Alycia if I'm not mistaken is a few weight classes below Clarissa (as a middleweight) and won't go up to fight Clarissa. Clarissa cleared out her division and the two people folks want her to fight failed their drug test and are not even in her weight class. Going Heavyweight is her only way of getting real competition right now.
I can’t lie, I’m a huge fan of BOXING!!! Love flying all over for good events, but Claressa fights be boring… and that’s saying a lot because a lot of people don’t watch the women, but they be throwing them thangs all 10 rounds!!! Fight might not be a KO, but dammit you get ya money worth!!! Claressa started her steer at 168lbs, and moved all the way down to 140lbs, and 147lbs to become undisputed and still can’t knock anyone out… but love jumping in MENS business… her fiancé is only there for the check!!! Y’all didn’t notice they broke up for 1 year????
