Hi guys
I've long been a fan of Clarins, although I did put them on the backburner for a while. They've never embraced AHAs, BHAs and Retinoids, so I started to see Clarins as a little fuddy duddy TBH. But... my thinking and perceptions have come full circle and I now see them as a brand who have stuck to their guns (so to speak), incorporating the best of plant based ingredients, sticking to their lane, sticking to their knitting (as it were) and never deviating from what has been the core success of their brand. And for that, I have come to appreciate them. They will be around long after their contemporaries have left the building!

The transformative power of makeup never ceases to amaze me. And it's as much about a "feeling" as it is about the physical transformation. Even the tiniest amount of makeup can boost self esteem like nothing else can.

I've been using Clarins products (skin and body care) for 30 years! It has made my otherwise imperfect troubled skin so healthy. Every time I try a different company my skin scoffs and I always go back. Clarins raised a bar for me and I will always be a happy customer.

Agree! I have just started following you and have the same relationship with Clarions...loved the original Everlasting foundation and lip products. Skin care and Beauty Flash Balm always pleasing. AND... the foot beauty cream is something I buy twice a year for past ten years.

My Clarins holy grail product number is 6 is definitely Eau Dynamisante (ED). I find it calming, refreshing and inoffensive and it feels so good knowing that it's also a treatment! I've been using it since the Jurassic period, however have only just discovered this year that you're first supposed to rub a little bit of it into your hands and inhale it before applying it! It's part of my daily ritual and a bottle of it lasts me a good 8-9 months, so I buy a bottle of it every year. I'm sad to say my Clarins misses are the ED shower gel and body moisturizer. They are too much compared to the original body spray. Maybe I prefer something more aromatherapeutic like the Clarins Tonic line when it comes to shower gel and body moisturizer and perhaps I prefer something more simple and gentle like Avene... The red ED deodorant spray is lovely though. I would purchase that again!

I love the Eau des Jardins and I have repurchased a few times. I also have samples of the red ED which is also beautiful. I haven't tried the deodorant yet - I tend to stick to my tried and trusted ones. I'm still loving the Tonic shower gel. although it's coming to an end and I'm loathe to repurchase it at the price. It is lovely though. The Tonic body cream is gorgeous. I wear it to bed and can still smell it on me the next morning! It's delicious!!

Everything in the tonic range is magical 🧙‍♀️ One of the few products I’ve ever experienced that simultaneously pulls stress out of the mind and body. That tonic moisturizer would be very calming to wear before bed, whereas ED would be more of an energizing morning body cream. My 7th holy grail is Clarins Blue Myrtle regular fix makeup. I am addicted to over spritzing my face with it before I leave the house. I have no idea if it works, I just enjoy it! Out of all four I own, this limited edition scent is by far my favorite!!! Normally I don’t like anything floral around my face, however this smells slightly fruity. My Clarins miss is the Hydra Essential Bi serum. I love the blue color, however the texture of the serum is really dry and pasty and I find my skin drinks up Avene Hydrance intense serum better. I’d prefer to invest my money in Avene or the Clarins Lotus treatment oil.

I love Clarins. I find that Clarins is underappreciated in the US. I had had very few misses. I love their moisturizers and their oils. I love their Ombre 4 colouer quads. They have a beaitiful formula. I love their lip products also. I think their lip tint is amazing. I would just want some different shades. Thank you so much. I have really enjoyed this video.

I use actives like tazarotene but still adore my clarins skincare, makeup and oils. They’re just so effective.

Never tried the contouring and use the youth fluid in 100c. I heard they run too warm and I’m a warm olive but the cool does well for me so I can see why this doesn’t work for a lot of people!

I really love their skincare range called multi-active and super restorative. I just wish it was less expensive. Trying Eucerin now..will see how it compares

I tried Clarins Double Serum but I wouldn't purchase this again, especially at their price point. In order for my skin to prolong aging, I need actives. My actives are Niacinimide toner or serum, Argeriline (prevented and relaxed many wrinkles), peptides (matrixyl 3000, "o"xxx, so many others), copper peptides for firming, Retinol/Retinaldehyde, Vit C, moisturizers must include ceramides as this is what our skin is made of plus a few others, SPF ++++ The Ordinary AHA/BHA once a week, depending on your age. Chemical peels and microdermabrasions by estheticians.

I've tried some samples of the Clarins serum, but nothing has swayed me to purchase a full size bottle. I also use actives and try and include things like peptides. I love glycolic acid too!

I think 25 -30 years ago Clarins were leaders in the industry but many products/ brands have surpassed them. The newer foundations are a huge disappointment. I don’t think their products actually have the botanical ingredients they once had. Sadly so many products don’t launch in SA. The lip oils are not coming in the shimmer finishes which are beautiful. Regarding the latest blushers I actually love them. I have the coral shade and it’s wonderful. All the nice lipsticks get discontinued 😡. The bath & shower gel I really enjoy.

Hi Adele. I'm glad you like the new blushes. You've inspired me to try at least one. I was so disappointed when I saw the previous ones had been discontinued. I agree that the botanical ingredients are probably not what they once were! And you're spot on about the foundations.

I do agree about the foundations btw. I have not tried that mascara so I cannot say how I feel about it and now I will not get it lol, so I will not know

I don’t know where to start about Clarins. Some of their products really work and are my Holly Grail. A few are big waste of money! I’ll list them later!

Please do! I agree with you. Their makeup is especially disappointing. I'm not quite sure where they're going with it, but it's kind of all over the place. They keep tweaking the formulas of some of their HG products as well (makeup and skincare). I see this in their reviews all the time. If it ain't broke don't fix it!! I'm hugely bummed that they changed the shade range of their lipliners some years back. My HG was a nude rose colour. The replacements are all nude brown now. Why???!!! Their Ever Matte setting powder (for oily skin) is USELESS!! Rimmel Stay Matte is far superior and 1/10th of the price. I could go on!!

I’ll start with product number one. Energizing Emulsion - Soothes tired legs 🦵 Absolutely works!!! Great to use if you’ve been on your feet all day. Pulls the stress out of your legs immediately! Can be applied over stockings. You won’t even know how tired your legs are until this products pulls the stress out of them! Helps me fall asleep at night. The smell has a very mysterious, medical smell. A repeat purchase for sure. Worth every sent!

@@Fifty-sense You can order it from Amazon, however, as you probably know, it's best to purchase from a Clarins counter, because you receive lots of free samples and points. My next holy grain product is: Lisse Minute Base (instant smooth perfecting touch) It works! If you need a miracle, just like Cinderella did before going the ball, I believe this product is the fairy God mother! It glides over fine lines and pores creating a luminious, more youthful vail before applying foundation. Expect people to think you've had some work done. Like most Clarins products, it's full of anti-aging, anti-pollution and hydrating properties. This product is magic! Love how the product looks when you open the jar. It's piped into the product like a rose. Looks so good I almost don't want to use it! My Clarins miss is Everlasting foundation in Ivory. Big let down! The pump application is nice. It doesn't transfer, however after 3-4 hours my complextion turns orange, especially around the hair line. Tried mixing the production with white sunscreen and primer. I still look orange. Extra-Comfort in Ivory was much better - my complexion looked porcelain.

@@MsActor2009 I used the Lisse Minute base in my late thirties but I think I was too young then to appreciate it''s magic. You've inspired me to try it again. I've read that it's like pantyhose for the face!! My foundation experience has been less than satifactory. The Ever matte foundation looks like a mask on me. The new skin illusion is a let down. I used to use the original one in the pump bottle and I loved it. So disappointed that they changed the formula. Their shades seem to be a little off too. They need to get some advice from Chanel regarding wearable skin shades!!
