Looking forward to be there in September on a Starlux flight from LAX. I remember Clark Air Base back in the 80's when I was in the Army stationed in Korea, catch a hop at Osan AFB, land at Clark, eat chicken bbq in Dau and catch a Philippine Rabbit bus to my hometown in Baguio and play Bingo at Camp John Hay. Those were the days...
CRK looks nice. Will use that one next time I head to the Philippines. I am here in Thailand living. last time I was in the Philippines I walked by your house there in Pundakit as was visiting the beach area when I stayed in Subic. If your in Pattaya let me know will spot you a beer.
i hope they can offer more affordable foods inside and also install more ATM machines, in singapore prices are the same inside and outside of the airport
I also have arrived and departed from CRK, and next to the parking lot is a bus station with CR, Snack bar, you can invite your friends into up to 2 per passenger. Just not pass the security check point, And very friendly airport staff. To bad Partas is not serving the airport bus station also.
it's would be nice if ANA or Jal flew there. I flew business class on ANA from Tokyo to San Fran and it was great! All the flight attendants were young pretty ladies, plus the food was Great! On the way back to Japan from Newark, I flew Business class on United, and all the Business class flight attendants were GUYS and One old lady. The United Business class meals were... not business class meals, though better than Economy I guess. I usually fly United because of the Miles I have (plus United is cheaper)
Pete nice to see you and the family back on RU-vid. By chance do know of any good rental, House's or condos? In Baguio, or rental Agencies there? We are retiring there the 28th of July. Looking in the $25,000 to $55,000 Peso range.
We took CRK to Taipei on EVA air flight from Clark was $10 usd more than the equivalent flight from Manila but so worth it. I like you got hit with my carryon was over 7 kilo, but they just let me check it instead. never faced weighing of carryon in Manila and pretty sure I used EVA air
@ 13:01 seven bucks for a small san mig can, lol [*they be trying to recoup the $$ used to build that new airport 🛫✈🛩] ..... btw that reminds me of the new airport in mactan cebu, great vlog! 👍
You should also try the New Manila International Airport in 2027. That will be the biggest airport in the Philippines. It will be the largest airport in South east asia and 2nd largest airport in the world. For now it is under construction.....
All I know the engineers who construct this airport was group of Italians who join with filipino's engineers and architects. Very nice airport. Thank you Pete for sharing this I know this Italian people.
Wow it looks great,do you know when Airlines like Philippines Airlines or other Airlines will be flying from Sydney straight through,I don't like stop overs, thanks
CRK is a fantastic airport, the service for regular international airlines from the western countries however is virtually non existent. Like all airports they only work if it suits your travel plan.
We live there so it is very convenient having the new airport there. I have a pilot's license and a small plane, so I am looking for a place in Loakan so we can fly back and forth. Do you know if there is a small airport in the La Union area? Thanks!
Nice airport but quite far and inconvenient for most people who don't live near that area. Also, most travellers usually need to transfer to a domestic plane to travel on to other parts of the country. There seems to be no plan or cohesion with these airports in central Luzon. They have Clark, they are building a new airport in Bulacan and they are rehabilitating all 4 NAIA terminals to accommodate more planes and passengers. How can they even operate these 3 major airports all at once and make them all sustainable and profitable?
Hello Pete! from Tokyo, Japan Long time no... comment 😋 I was in NY from Feb to late June. On the way to NY (1 stop in San Francisco) I used ANA business class. I Love ANA, but it's expensive (I usually use United which is much cheaper) On the way back, I used my usual United Polaris Business class. ALL but 1 flight attendants were GUYS 😟 The only female flight attendant was like a 60 yrs old lady, who never really did anything 😂 The meals were sub par.. though I would still use United because it's much cheaper 😋
I guess CRK is good and all but there’s still very few destinations from CRK compared to NAIA and much farther from Manila (unless your visiting Pampanga) like by the time somebody arrive to CRK from Manila you’re probably already waiting for your plane in NAIA. And they building 2 airports much nearer to Metro Manila (1 in Cavite and 1 in Bulacan) so CRK will probably fall out of favor in a few years as an alternative way to Manila. But hey, i got no hate into CRK, i like to think this airport shows that Filipinos are capable of building large projects !
Clark is suppose to serve most of north luzon like pampanga. Bulacan airport will mostly serve most of north Manila and Sangley airport with serve south Manila and also cavite.
If I was checking you in…I would NOT have allowed your carry on bag! It is not about the “total” weight entitlement…it is about in-cabin safety….a 7 kilo bag dropping from the overhead bin..could hurt you…a 12 kilo bag could break your neck! That is why the international rule of 7 kilos!
Only new administrative capital meaning when big disaster or catastrophe hit Manila (hope not) New Clark has all the infrastructure, data warehouse to support and continue government functions.
@@millennialinmanila5621 Yeah a country can only have 1 capital, but the country is in progress of setting up multiple Manila metro like areas, that is what many in the world dont understand yet.
If i were to choose a place for new capital, Palawan would be the best choice. It's the only part of the Philippines that is safe from natural disasters. However you will have a problem of connecting it to mainland Luzon
300 pesos a beer... that's not nice. Plus blue taxi drivers take advantage of new tourist by not putting on meters... otherwise superb. Need bohol and Palawan flights back on.
2 years already, still not being utilized 100%. Check the aerobridges are not all installed because not much plane to use it. What a waste of investment.
