Seeing this video makes me even more upset how things turned out between Clark and Lex if Clark had tried a little bit harder to help Lex and just took a chance and told him his secret I'm pretty sure things would have turned out very differently for them if he had just given him the benefit of the doubt and didn't allow his doubts fears and insecurities along with his father's unfair judgmental views about Lex get the best of him; he possibly would have been his greatest Ally instead of becoming his greatest enemy!
V Man the thing is given Lex’s darker side I think they would’ve become enemies regardless. If Clark was open with him from the start their friendship would’ve lasted longer but eventually i believe Lex would betray that trust by exploiting Clark somehow and the outcome would’ve been more or less the same.
I think it was the age difference mainly. Clark was to young to really get what was going on with Lex and what all the stuff that was happening around him meant and so he couldn't really help.

@@superheroson117 that and you can’t forget all the work Lionel also put into deeply screwing up his son and then his obsession with Clark, which I feel also played a big part in their friendship/brotherhood falling apart as we know that Lex would want to know just WHY his toxic crazy manipulative bastard of a father was so fixated on the Kents - especially Clark.

There should be a comic in which Clark and Lex start out as friends, and remain friends. Lex could be like a sidekick to Superman, kinda like Batman (not exactly, but I guess you get my point).
In the comics, there was a time where Lex was "good" and had his own power suit that had the House of El symbol on it along with all sorts of tech and gadgets. He and Superman worked together, even though Superman didn't trust Lex Luthor.
This is one of my favorites tv shows ever, but since Michael Rosenbaum and the actor that play his father left; the show go downhill in my opinion. At least he come back for the last episode.
Lex was such a good friend, that Clark never appreciated in this series. The real antagonist was not so much Clark himself, but Clark's inability to be a better, more wholesome friend to someone who really needed a friend.
Clark was such a hypocrite liar always complaining about lex not being honest. It makes sense Lex became an enemy to Clark after how he treated him. Lex just wanted to be an honest friend and Clark acted like an asshole.
