Between the no-look "Johnathan, UPSTAIRS!!" and the "I have to stay angry, so I can scare the hell out of our son", that's some Mom Level shit, right there.
this entire show is an absolute masterpiece an S tier grade A masterpiece, It's absolutely flawless. Just this scene by itself is incredible. Lois is extremely relatable and understandable. A wonderful loving strong woman and mother of two teenagers. Her unconditional love for her sons and husband and that fear she faces when they are in danger and that anger and furry she feels when they get into trouble and do stupid crap is how any mother would feel and goes through. She's dealing with so much, a husband who puts his life in the line daily, teenage boys who she just wants to protect and keep safe. She knows she can't always protect them from everything especially being that Jordan has powers and is in the same daily danger Clark is in. The realism of the characters and what they feel and go through. The absolutely stunning scenery and incredible acting, the action, comedy, romance and drama. The constant on edge moments. This show is truly immaculate
'That will never happen!' If this follows the arrow verse, then isn't this the 2nd time Clark's been corrupted? when he appeared on Supergirl his mind was warped and Kara had to fight him, now he's been turned
This is part of the arrowverse, but Clark being mind controlled in supergirl probably never happened after crisis. Flash proves a lot of things that happened before crisis never happened after it.
@@arceerogueharleyquinncapta9925 she does though it was reavelead in an interview that when lois quit the daily planet there was pic of lois and clark and Kara it was just cut for time i also think they didnt name drop her because this show was meant to air after supergirl aired their season and name dropping her has the potentail to reveal how supergirl ends (just what i read)
You know, this gets brought up a lot, and I'm gonna be honest. A handful of people with railguns objectively seems like a much easier problem to deal with than a nigh-immortal demigod who could destroy a planet and whose only weaknesses are magic, red lights, and a glowing green rock that you need to stab him with. If Lois keeps this mindset, she's essentially making it so that if Clark turns evil, his own son will have to kill him. Tell me, what's worse; a few wacky people with railguns, or a traumatized demigod who killed his own father, and likely hates his own mother for forcing that to be the only way?
While it is easy to initially side with Clark on the idea that him being corrupted without a built in fail safe is a huge gamble to take for the world's sake, you have to consider one important thing regarding that. How many things are capable of " corrupting " him into being that world destroyer threat? Are there enough of those things, that he doesn't believe he could overcome, versus the number of people willing/capable to use those fail safes in order to take him out? I'd say the number of things capable of corrupting him are far less likely than it would be for any number of crazy villains or even just over zealous politicians to decide to take advantage of a situation in order to finally get Superman out of the picture for good. Essentially going for a Captain America mindset of " the safest hands are still our own. " in regards to keeping themselves in control of the situation, having faith they can navigate whatever challenges they come across.
I think they're going to eventually give Jonathan a suit and he'll put it on his instead. Can't see a natural way(right now at least) where Irons would want to put it on his suit.
@@mrfafaa96 unless they kill superman or take him out of commission for a few episodes and irons steps up as the new “superman” and dons the red cape too
anyone see the easter egg that they put where Clark talks about being tricked and corrupted, just saying that it corelates to when the joker tricks him to kill lois and then unjustice happens
I can’t believe I’m about to say this, but… Lois is wrong. For once Clark is seeing things the way Batman does, Clark’s main goal as Superman is to protect others, how can he do that if he’s become the very thing he’s trying to protect the people of Earth from? If he was ever turned to the dark side of the force, or succumbed to mind control, the people of earth need a way to defend themselves against Superman. He cares about the people of Earth, but we need to be prepared for the worst. Always.
3:42 I'm with Lois on this one. The idea of the military having a code to kill someone she loves given the psychotic bad guys who want him dead...that kind of thing is a terrible idea. I mean, I understand why Clark wants a failsafe to protect everyone but, that kind of idea is not really a good one.
For the most part this series has avoided referencing the Arrowverse, or even acknowledging Supergirl. I think that heightens the drama of the threats Clark faces. I was disappointed when John Diggle was brought in, as now it's harder to pretend those other heroes don't exist.
@@danieldickson8591 I know how you feel , I want Superman and Lois distance themselves from others cw show but we can't do that when something like that happen Soon we'll see the crossover that I hated so much
Why even go to school?, it's not like he (or any other kid) is learning anything valuable or useful. School isn't preparing kids for today's workforce.
If you mean, "scared of angry Lois," I think most people would be. That woman is intimidating as hell. She's hella smart, she doesn't back down, and she doesn't take crap from anyone.
@@haidenjordan4660 you right but when you go to apply for a job and they tell you you cant get the job because you dont have the necessary credentials telling them ill learn with experience wont work
Another series showing women as being tough decision makers and leading the family and even Superman having to look pathetic just so a woman can look good. Stopped watching as I have stopped watching WOKE Marvel films and Starwars.
This series is completely different. Clark and Lois are partners. They argue, and Lois has the shorter temper (Clark's had to control his his whole life), but they always come together and work it out. In this episode Clark persuades Lois to accept his concerns, and they agree on a compromise fail safe.
Bunch of babies acting like babies. It's an opinion! Honestly she's a damsel no matter what you put her in, she's bossy and demanding for no particular reason. I never even watched the show and I already know this!
