Xanthas was killed using Fenthras. Thus, when Grog fetched him so Pike could cast Speak with Dead, he had to rip him out from the tree growing from his face.

Matt Mercer is one of the perfect examples of how getting into character as the DM makes ALL the difference in creating immersion in the story. His myriad of of voices and personalities are the glue that hold the world together and make it, at least during certain moments, feel more than just a game. He's good at what he does :)

I love when Travis makes an attack roll that hits an enemy, then rolls another attack that is higher than the first and still waits for Matt to say that the attack hits before continuing. It makes me happy that the players are so invested in the game and just enjoying what’s happening and that Matt is great at being the glue that holds it all together while also enjoying his role.

Someday, Liam will understand the rules of sneak attack. But not this day... NOT THIS DAY!!

Travis is just the best at this game... He stays in character. Makes decisions based on his character even when they don’t benefit him or the group. And despite Scanlans frequency of making everyone laugh I find Grogs antics to be the most genuinely hilarious stuff
