I watch your vids daily and barely comment, but I also play this game for years and now just do my attacks daily to get ores, not even pushing Legends. I for several times want to quit the game, but can't make the decision. This game is no longer a part of my life but something pain in the arse i can't get rid of. Good luck with everything my man.

Am a Civil Engineer myself Lex. I took this decision a long time ago. Which you are taking now. It is extremely tough.. Doing your job + RU-vid + Playing clash and on top of that you have to give time to your family. On top of that, my parents are senior citizens.. i have to run the hospital multiple times a month. I ve gone through this.. what you are going through now. Am still doing Clash and Yt coz I love it.. but I also love my family.. and not leaving my job as a civil Engineer. This is where I voice my videos very seldom. Its extremely tough to manage all the things together and be a good Son, husband, father, and Employee all at the same time. I can totally understand your feelings.

I stopped playing the game since a couple years ago, but still keep up with CoC esports, mostly via your channel. You're super talented at covering the attacks and making me laugh. You've built something incredible with your RU-vid channel. That being said, I agree with your decision to get back into engineering and possibly get a PhD. It's a more stable and probably predictable job, which is good for your family. I think most of your fanbase would understand this. It doesn't mean quitting RU-vid (as you acknowledge), but perhaps only focusing on videos you're most passionate about. Of course, you want to focus on your engineering job -- I'm sure it's a big time commitment, and you want to succeed there too.

Sometimes a break does a lot of good; and yeah, TH16 has been rough for content and drama sucks. I'm cautiously optimistic that it will improve. As long as you're making content, I'll be watching. Even if it isn't CoC

I used to watch a lot of coc esports 1-2 years ago but then completely stopped around th15 release I think. I don’t like all the new items and ability and stuff so I can’t even imagine having to make videos everyday. Burnout is real. I honestly doubt the game will get better, both coc and clash Royale have become so greedy that money is being placed over the well-being of the game, and I don’t see that changing. I have been enjoying your contents since i guess th12 and when Stars are still in queen walker . I love your commentating especially the humor you got , I still rmb those days you said " we gonna try to freeze everything , but instead we freeze nothing ", or the "the warden just go from 6 feet above the ground to 6 feet under" and the og one " possibly potentially ..." . Those words has bocome my memories and i couldnt forget. Although i dont play coc anymore , i always love to watch you commentating the matches. Its sad to see how this game have become and how the reality forced you to go back to engineering , but at the end of the day , people have to take care themselves also their family . I do think that is a right choice and i support you , but it is bad news for us who rlly like urs contents. I agree, I wish COC was a few years back. Those times were insane. RIght choice too, have a backup plan and also doing the things you like at the same time.

All your comments are pretty much bang on, and I do feel your pain and frustration. I've been playing myself for the last 10 odd years, and the game has progressively gotten too easy. I understand Supercells stance of making it easy. The more people win, the more they play. They look at it purely from a business point of view as that is what pays salaries, the activities they build around promoting the game, etc. There will be a newer generation that will come into the game, and the older ones like you and me will depart. It's the circle of life. So find your next and keep going. Stay passionate and keep your head high. You've done well, and you're in the right head space and making with the right decisions. I'm feeling burnt out too, I've been playing this game for like 8 years and im loosing interest too, i just can't quit because no one will look after the clan i only do wars, cwl and daily attacks, its too easy now compared to back in the days when there's no equipments there's no challenge in attacking you can even three star bases 1 or 2 th levels higher than you but anyway just keep doing your best for your family and good luck on your job and classes.

I started playing clash in 2021, and you got me into clash e sports. I really enjoyed watching you cover th 15 e sports, as watching the pros struggle to get 3 stars along with your funny commentary made the wars really fun to watch. However I pretty much stopped watching clash e sports once th 16 was released due to the game becoming significantly easier for the pros. Unless hard mode is adjusted I don't see how clash e sports can survive long term. You made the right decision to go back to your job, as right now the future of clash as a whole seems uncertain, and your family should be your priority. Thanks Lexnos! In the last couple of videos, I've been telling that I would expect to see videos/raising videos (at least explicitly mentioning that this is the community situation right now). Then, I stopped once people criticize me a lot in the comments.. To be honest, I did not expect you to put yourself into harsh situations due to your fathership but I knew that you were not earning quite good with CoC, so I'm glad that you switched to a permanent job. SC definitely becomes a more unreliable source of income and YT/ads not enough. I hope things will get better for you!

The very first videos I watched of you was when the max level of Clash was th 13 and I have been consistent ever since. I am fond of many things and I am always doing something. Whenever I am doing something or even when I am just about to eat something, I try and look for your videos. Your videos are so fun to watch, you're very witty, the style of commentary you do or the way you speak on your videos is slightly unique and fun to watch. Your videos entertain me at times when I feel bored. Your videos have helped me through things and have kept me entertained and I would love to help you back. I played since the game was released and I stopped at th14 as I didn’t like the direction coc was going towards and I moved to clash royale which I also quit not long ago because of ridiculous greed from supercell. Focusing on your family is the priority and taking advantage of the opportunity to play a game you love and help others progress etc is something special, yet everyone knows nothing lasts forever and things change. Supercell have changed and I can tell you as someone who’s played both coc and cr since they’ve been released and you gotta put you and your family first. I say absolutely go for your career in engineering and do what makes you happy. You’ve done so well with your channel and just know that all of us are so grateful for you and your content. I’ve watched you since I was little and you’ve made a huge impact on my life and may god bless you and your family ❤

I respect this a lot you’re just worried about the future and it’s understandable. You have a family and need to provide for them. The future is so unpredictable, so it’s best to be cautious and think ahead of time and plan before the worst happens. As they say better be safe then sorry. It’s unfortunate how the state of the game is right now and the amount of drama that’s happening. I really hope it changes soon otherwise not just you will feel burnt out and want to quit. As much as it may suck to see a content creator in this state and potentially quitting, I believe you made the right decision on pursuing your engineering job. when I found your channel because of eric you became the preferred watch when I would come home from work everyday at 5 am, youd have something posted and they’d always be super entertaining because of your casting style and inside jokes, i watch on my roku so I barely comment like most others here, and seeing how the state of the game has changed, esp with pros becoming more discontented has been disheartening because the future of the game looked so bright with coc expanding their team, but since then its been cash-grabby like clash royale. I would really enjoy you applying your personality and casting style to a diverse set of games that you enjoy, but I also understand, as a college student, son, etc. that youtube can swallow time and create stress, and maybe you want that time to not have to be for youtube, just personal enjoyment, at the end of the day it’s your choice but I think the channel can have a bright future with a strong community no matter how small or big because of your personality and insight that you’ve developed so far w/ clash.

Just want to say Lex whatever you decide is 100% understandable, I haven't played clash for about 9 months, but I still watch your vids because you're my favorite creator and I've been following since back when th13 just came out and I started playing again after a few years break. This game definitely isn't the same, I first started when th9 was brand new and I loved it, but its changed so much, it feels like a money grab, the attacks are all the same, there's no opportunity for single player, a lot of clans are either tryhard or don't try at all underneath the esports scene or part of massive families and it just isn't the clash I fell in love with. Wish you the best with engineering, if you pursue other games I'm 100% still going to be watching, you're the best

Always been a fan and was so happy to see you stay out of the drama because I would have hated to see you caught up in the mess. This video just confirms your hearts in the right place because family always comes first and going back to a stable field (and getting to flex the engineering brain) is a great decision. I would have completely understood if you stopped making videos to prioritize your growing family but, as a fan, I am so thankful that you will keep making content. As someone who works full time as a Mech E , i understand the burnout. Clash used to be a good escape and recently it has seemed more like a chore and I am not a fan of that. Meta is a bit stale and I'm not the biggest fan of the grinding needed for equipment to stay relevant in high level matches. I hope they can do something to fix this but as of right now, myself and a lot of my clan members are all feeling the same way. I don't often have time to catch your streams but hoping one of these days I can join in one of your FC matches. Thank you for everything and best of luck with the new jobs(engineer and DAD!). @lexnos I've watched your career since you came into the clash scene cheered you on although you can't hear us lol you've always been so genuine even though drama & you stay motivated I've played since 2012 I own UNTAMED SOULS LVL 17 clan I've seen over the years we've had so many problems getting members & supercell never bothered to care to help we still need high LVL members but 24 people is all we got most are alt accounts. But you truly are making the best decision Tencent doesn't care nether does RU-vid take care of yourself & family above anything I'll follow your wherever you decide to go with RU-vid & if leaving wish you the very best & thank you tremendously for what you have brought to the game Lexnos it's been amazing to watch your progress

11:30 Yeah you are so right lexnos, this was also one of the points eric made: "this workplace has become too toxic and insecure to work in" To think that at any given point u can get targeted and actually take down the channel is insane... I kind of understand the motive behind the ban of time2clash and yes someone might be blinded by rage and execute their revenge to solve their anger.. but why would they go for erikuh... All she did was express her opinion. Imagine a workplace where you get silenced if you voice out your opinion. Even clash royale is in a disastrous state right now, the company is getting super greedy with offers and the game is just straight up pay 2 win. Luckily clash of clans is not entirely pay to win just yet, but yeah it does feel easier than before because a lot of pro players have already cracked the meta for each townhall, eliminating the fun of actually experimenting with your troops to crack down the bases. But hey Lexnos, if one day you might miss an upload or decide to quit the channel entirely, i totally understand you, you are starting your own family and that is your top priority. I think anyone with a brain knew that you weren’t going to post about the drama (rightfully so). This is your livelihood and you have a new member to the family. I would’ve done the same as you tbh. I’m glad you have an alternative route in engineering. That’s stable with great opportunities. And the way you feel about clash is the way most vets feel about clash, I only attack for cwl, pretty much don’t talk, donate or request anymore. Hey Lex, I used to be a clash player for almost 4-5 years, when I started the game it was new and fun then all of a sudden I felt that saturation of playing same game again and again and I kind of lost touch and didnt really played the game for about 3 years, and then i started again from last couple of months and thats when I liked your videos. That being said, I am also a family member (daughter wife father)and I can understand what you are trying to say here in terms of supporting the people you have in your life. Giving the nature of these coc videos you have to keep making new videos all the time because if the time goes by the older videos might not get much views due to constant changes, so keeping up with it is really a race, I think you are going in the right direction and if I were you I would also go the same route, putting our time and energy in something that is a lot more volatile in nature might not be the best choice at least as compared to the job you mentioned(i am also an Engineer). And like you said you can keep playing game/ make videos as much as you like but when it gets to point where you think you dont want to continue you can always stop without worrying about the personal/financial stability. You haven't been my fav streamer but I think that's really smart making sure you have a backup plan for your family. Proud of you for stepping up for your family, I think your take on the drama is logical. I burnt out when I was max 14 on 2 of 26 accounts 2 years ago, and the amount of things to do to be competitive and keep up with us too overwhelming. That being said most people don't have more than 1-2 accounts, so maybe they don't feel like all the events are a chore. Either way you're not the only one experiencing burnout, I recently started playing again and keep cutting back on accounts I play cuz I just have more important things to do with my time. Also the nostalgia doesn't trump how difficult it's becoming to have fun without investing a lot of time and money. Also with. The new druid troop I feel like my 2 new th16s can RR druid 3 star most bases in cwl and wars and it's not good if you're always 3 staring in my opinion. I see myself as an average player maybe slightly above - the game only seems easier as you max out at least q set of the strongest hero equipment. Then it'll be months and years before I get the other equipment strong enough to be worth using so it seems like equipment was a great idea but just didn't land due to the state of the game and how hard it is to get ores especially ftp. That's my 2 cents, and if you wanna see a detailed video on the state of the game and why it's becoming the way it is as galadon mentioned in a recent video check out Blags 2 on yt. His latest video goes into depth on how constrained supercell is by who basically owns the company whom they have to answer to. It's no wonder Darian stepped down as community manager for COC.

You are spot on man. I just started this game a year ago. With rush hall16. With my experience in the, yet perfect with most th16 so I kinda stop play. Back to your day job is cool especially when you got kids. They look up to you and I’m pretty you don’t want your kids to not finish school because of making money in RU-vid, engineering jobs is better roll model :) I like Eric video better but lately he talked about dramas which I got no clue. I respect that he fight for other then he got the boot but still hate to hear about dramas :) Good luck brother :)

But also have stopped watching it as much as I used to be just because it used to make sense to see how pro get 3 stars on very challenging bases (during th14-15). Also giving up on clash since I understand that they will likely keep this meta forever just because it is what brings them money and satisfies most players.

Lex, I come from Poland. I watched very often Your videos. You’re really great player. I play in coc for about 10 years and now I’m 51 yo. A few months ago I made decision to stop playing every day in coc. There was 2 reasons. The 1st one I stated that I am clashoholic. My family (wife and 2 daughters) suffered from it. Now I play only 7x in month (cwl) and it’s really enough for me. And the 2nd one: loosing account by my best friend who pulled me into coc. He cannot recover the account which he played longer than me. So, I think You’ll make right decision for You and Your family. They’re more important then coc. Good luck bro. ❤

After leaving BFE ,ran my own 6 clan alliance for 3 years. Props to Eric for standing up. Stuffs been going on for years. State of the game I feel same way I find myself not playing clash on the daily for first time since 2013 and also contemplating a return to console gaming on PS5. Since the founding of Champions War League I've been saying it would lead to esports and an eventual dark stain on CoC if not the downfall of the game as we knew it then. Damn, I subscribed to you around 2019 I guess where you had around 40k subs….and used to watch your videos everyday while having my breakfast 😂. I felt sad that you felt this game is not as it used to be couple of yesrs ago like till th14 cause i feel the same way man, 3 star attacks are no longer fun and this game almost became pay2win with all those equipments. i will say it"s just a new phase of life , it is never easy to leave your favourite thing and move on , but we all know their are only few years of coc left , so sooner or later you will have to make this decision , but its better you do it now , it might be rewarding in long term . Quit playing when I went camping for a few days and honestly didn’t miss it. Now I play if I feel like it. So what im saying is do what you feel like doing, what makes you happy. Yes, the game is too easy now, but maybe it will swing back, who knows. Banning creators for pretty small things just makes it harder for people to want to be creators for your products, who knows if Supercell is smart enough to find a better balance for reprimanding creators who step out of line. I’ve been around in clash competitive basically as long as you. Back when th9 was where most people were because th10 was near impossible to three star. At some point along the road SC realized that expansion = money. I remember they used to be super hard core about the game never going beyond th10 and not adding additional hero levels because it was SUCH a grind before gold pass and hero books. But when they decided more levels = more gems from player and profit started to drive their decisions they started the process of killing their game. When we got to th13 or so I really noticed that SC started realizing their game became TOO complicated. Too many buildings, levels, attacking forces etc. this is a problem that is bound to kill this game. The root of the problem will not change, and the it’s bound to get worse with their plan for new town hall each year. Thanks for the content over the years tho lex as you phase out. Real priorities prevail for me too.

Huge respect Lex. I'm currently studying engineering so I understand the grind, I think that plus uploading a clash video every day is way too much! And of course you gotta do what's best for you and your family!! You are my favorite clash youtuber to watch though so I would be very sad if you quit entirely... Maybe switch to a one video per week schedule or something like that? Also legend league attacks, friendly wars, etc. would still be great content that I would watch. Maybe even do videos where there are crazy challenges like try to 3 star without any spells and things like that to shake things up and keep it interesting for you and viewers since the pro scene is not great right now. Of course if you eventually decide to quit entirely that is perfectly understandable as well. Love you man, best of luck with everything

About the state of the game i also don't feel like playing it anymore but still love to watch your vids. As you have more responsibilities to perform as a well wisher can say you made the right choice. Hey Lex, i have been playing clash since 2013. I, too, have daughters (4). In 2019, i took a small break and stepped away in 2020 for several years. Just got back into it at my own pace, no more leaderboards for me, etc...family first. Maybe since you are making coin to make content, just check out from the grind of it. You will do what is best for you family, because thats what men do. Hope everything works out the best, brother.
