FINALLY!!!!! Decals in a GF9/BF starter set!

Models look great for sure. The addition of decals is also a plus as it drives me nuts/irritates me when many of the FoW and TY sets don't come with decals. Certainly lots of bang for your buck. I'm not sure if I'll dive into it myself as I'm already pretty invested in FoW and TY and the theme isn't really up my alley. Great review I look forward to seeing them painted up.

I'm very happy to see the decals as well. It's just a small thing but the tanks just feel incomplete without them.

It comes with decals? That's very rare for Battlefront in a starter

So yeah, those T-54 sprues are directly lifted from Team Yankee. They can build T-54, T-55 and T-55AM2

I think it's more Flames of War light rather then a more advanced WoT.

Really solid value on the starter sets. 21 or 17 tanks for less than the price of 2 regular Team Yankee boxes.

It looks like the Soviet T55s variants all use the same basic hull and you *might* have all the parts to build most, if not all, of the turrets. So build the turrets and field the variant you want, and plug and play for other variants in future games. If that's the case then this is a pretty sweet deal!

The T-44/54 upgrade sprue has a different front glacis plate but otherwise you could build all the turrets for the hull.

Can the M-18 have a 90 millimeter gun instead of the 76 millimeter gun? If only the 76? It makes it a weird included in the box for 1948.

Looks like only the 76mm for the Hellcat, the M-36 Jackson fills the role of 90mm Tank Destroyer.

@@AllMiniaturesGreatandSmall The M36 turret can fit on the M18. The program was cancelled after the end of the war. It should be a possible upgrade in the future for this game.

Yes, just use the cards that come with the game.

Easy 8s and Jumbos yes. Older Sherman's don't have cards yet.

That is good value for money, indeed. Strange, I have never seen "versus" abbreviated that way? Anyhow, l'm looking forward to getting the starter sets! Does anyone add weight to these for additional heft on the playmat?

I used to pack the bodies with modeling clay for extra weight, but at some point just gave up when my carrying cases were getting a little too heavy. :)
