i don't understand why he didn't let derrick keep the channel going. cgrundertow was derrick. it makes no sense that he told derrick to fuck off and removed access to the channel. unless derreick didn't want todo it anymore

Logical Phallusy To be quite honest, nearly every system out at the time was in some ways better than the 2600. But it had it's moments, I guess. I guess it's just too far before my time for me to really care. The oldest system I ever owned (and it was secondhand at the time) was an atari 800XL Granted that's from 1987, but it's basically a cosmetic revamp of the late 70's atari 8 bit home computers... I know comparing a home computer to a console is unfair, but the games were still objectively better, and it was from the same era, and even the same manufacturer. -shrug- It can be difficult to appreciate certain things in hindsight.

yeah even for a portable console that's pretty sad. A lot of gameboy games could make solid ports of old arcade games and that came out in 1989

I don't know a lot about the Gamecom or its software, but the "Centipede" name does carry some weigh, although from what I see here it isn't a great port (but for Gamecom, likely one of its best). I think that's definitely pretty sad that arguably the best game of this handheld was a title that originated in 1980.

For any system: 1 blow into the cartridge slot 2 blow the cartridge contacts 3 put it in all the way, then pull it out for like 1mm. If this doesn't work repeat process. After 4 repeats start thinking about cleaning the contacts with alcohol.

my gamecom does the same thing. its the connection solder/stickytape to the screen going bad for old age. i never got around to taking it apart to re attach it because it is a gamecom and not that important. hell these things are so cheeply made old age was like 10 years with this thing and mine is a newer model

game com graphics were not lcd watch graphics, they could exceed the game boy. the lag really impedes a lot of the functionality though

Tristan M Which shows that the underlying hardware powering the thing was vaguely decent. Too bad they chose such an incredibly poor screen though. The gameboy screen isn't great either in hindsight, but it's a hell of a lot better than this thing's abomination of a display.
