Classic Game Room reviews FALLOUT: NEW VEGAS for Playstation 3 PS3 (also available for Xbox 360 and PC). Fallout New Vegas is very similar to Fallout 3 in many respects except that it takes place in the Western United States in and around Las Vegas which is now called New Vegas. All new enemies and crazy characters await like the Legion, Caesar, The New California Republic and Mr. House. Why was your character shot and buried alive only to be dug up by a robot? How many fun things can you do with a flamethrower in New Vegas? (lots) Fans of Fallout will most likely enjoy Fallout New Vegas gameplay but don't expect anything drastically different from Fallout 3. Wandering deserts, burned out buildings and dark spaces while shooting enemies with an awesome array of weapons is par for the course. My favorite game of all time. Period. I prefef this to Fallout 3. It is just a highly enjoyable and massive game.

For me I like Fallout 3 the most. Although New Vegas was cool exploring Fallout 3's wasteland for the first time was epic and for consoles New Vegas has A LOT more glitches/bugs!!! But I still love them both and they're my favorite games ever.

They're both great but FO3 takes the cake due to the fact that it takes place in the ruins of DC and I'm familiar with many of the locales, from the many stops on the metro to the Museum of Natural History and the many monuments. It really is like wandering around my own backyard only instead of feral homeless people in the subway you have to battle feral ghouls. It's that combination of the familiar and the not-so-familiar that made it special to me.

Been playing video games ever since I can remember. Now I'm in my early 20s I try to go to sleep at a reasonable time while playing video games. This is one of the only games I'd look at the clock and realize it's 3am and I have work in the morning. So. Much. Fun

OMG! I scrolled down and saw a comment that said this game ripped of skyrim, and that they should be sued for it! I laughed so hard. Just...okay, so for the people who dont know, this game was made before Skyrim, by THE SAME COMPANY THAT WENT ON TO MAKE SKYRIM!!! Jesus, it just, it made me laugh so damn much.

I've played through this game 3 times on the PC, spending 151 hours in a virtual wasteland. Time well spent when I should have been studying.

I love this game. But alas, I won't be able to play it ever again until I get a gaming PC, and mod the shit out of it. I need to make this 10x better (even though it's a fantastic game). I've played too much of the 360 version.

NCR Ranger if you haven't got one yet man I challenge you to take the first step to getting one. Go check your credit or I seen they have gaming pc at my Walmart now.. you could put it on lay away and start paying $100 a week on it untill you get it!! Come on man it's fall out!! 😍

I have version for PC XBOX360 and PS3. PS3 version rly sux balls - rly long loading screens. X360 it's ok PC version it's DA BEST :) short loadings, best graphic :)))

Octavio89 dude what the heck, he was just sharing his viewpoint and personal preferences from playing this game across the available platforms and you guys proceed to attack him because he prefers the PC platform. He wasn't downing anybody for playing consoles or showing any sign of superiority to those who do play on consoles, so where does that PC master race crap and him being an idiot come from? I too play on PC and consoles, and I prefer PC but that doesn't mean I'm a 'master race' elitist rubbing it in your face.

@Funnytown01 I could be mistaken, but are all the environments in Fallout 3 gray and black? I'd much prefer immersing myself in a world with more color to it, which New Vegas seems to have.

Should i get this or fallout 3 i played a little bit if 3 at a friends house and liked the atmosphere more than vegas but i also like the idea of hardcore mode. Any advice? (and please don't say get both i just moved in to a new apartment and dont have the money)

I enjoyed FO3 quite a bit . . . Once I was actually able to load it onto my comp. and play it for longer than 10 minutes without it crashing constantly. Big thumbs up to the youtube community for providing all the answers I needed to get it to work the right damn way. Biggest fix was changing one number in a line of code, and then adding a new line directly below it. Apparently that was too difficult for the programmers at Bethesada. Hopefully New Vegas doesn't suffer from the same B.S.

@Astat The legion wasn't in fo1 or fo2 try van buren... And the ncr was shady sands it only properly became the ncr in fo2 with Tandi.No importany choices in fo3?What about the quests like tranquility lane , those ,the american dream (where you decide the fate of the capital wastland) , replicated man, power of the atom,oasis etc theres big decisions in those quests. You seem a little bitter toward fo3 are you by any chance on NMA ?

@10thmaggot Yeah dude i really did like the Mojave setting aswell as real weapon models like the M1911 and M16 wat system do you play New Vegas on 360 or PS3 cause the xbox version is a bit on the glitchy side for me but apparently with the Honest hearts DLC Obsidian are releasing a massive patch for the bugs but then thats just a rumour.

you can steel from the Silver Rush by dragging items into the back bathroom and putting them against the wall. Then press E, there you go.

If you mean the bubble space helmet, it is sitting on a shelf alongside the space suit on a shelf in the lower levels of the REPCONN Test Site. The quest "Come Fly With Me" should lead you right to the room.

@JeffreyMyersII the removable graphics cards are also committed so they dont use any processor memory...and the stuff in a laptop is not that significantly smaller than in a desktop computer...there is just a lot less empty space...some stuff is smaller but not by much...whatever you have in a desktop computer you can have in a laptop

Ik, but i heard there ewre a lot of complaints in Falout 3 because when the main story was over, you couldnt do quests, and they patched it in Fallout 3. Do you know if they patched it here?

@Yooshei you can go first to nova and talk with a dude and he will give u a quest to clear out some ghouls in a certain place i think like the rocket facility. later the ghouls will (not feral) ask u to help them to clear the nightkins in the base room. If u finish that u wil help the ghouls to launch them in some rockets. In the control room there is a bubble helmet and a space suit.

You should be able to do both. Just equip one weapon if you want ADS and go akimbo style if you want to have fun : )

I loved Fallout 3 and was one of my favorite games for the 360....now I could get New Vegas for only 25 euros .... is it as good as FO3 or are there some things that maybe ruin all the great things from FO3?

you are talking about the cosmetic stuff there . The music atmosphere tone etc are the paint, im talking about the gameplay here . Its the same leveling up, fighting monsters&people, conversing and exploring, only that these mechanics are better handled in new vegas

I'm currently addicted to that game. I do love Borderlands but have quit its world for this one without doubt. I appriciate averagely the comment on the need to reserve some real time to play. I guess this is very relevant for professional computer game tester, irrelevant for the public. In addition, what I did really like was the RPG dimension of the game (ok i m new in Fallout series) which has been omitted by the reviewer. When things are good, it does not arm to say they are.

@CoolVids19 long as you want it to be, it can be done really quick if you just follow the main quest and finish it BUT! if you take your time and do side quests it has a good amount of stuff to keep you on your heels

@Darksiegify The PS3 has a 3.2 ghz Processor, 256MB DRam and an Nvidia graphics card (based on geforce7) and uses DVDs/Blurays as data input.You go online via LAN or WLAN. Yes the PS3 is a PC. And compared to a modern PC its quite outdated :/ Games only work well because they were optimized for that hardware.

I love this game! It's freaking awesome! I love Fallout 3 too, but there isn't enough stuff to keep me occupied while I'm walking through miles and miles of worn out places. It gets boring after a while. NV has buildings, military camps, and shacks everywhere, which makes it more fun to me.

The best reason for getting a PS3 is that it is still advanced, and lots of people who own pcs may or may not be able to run some of the newer games that are being released. And you can watch HD movies on it with the built in blueray player. Sony has been ahead of the game, for instance, 90s the CD, early 2000s DVD, now 2006-? Blueray which should be the new format. The Graphics on the PS2 still even look up to date, so the PS3's graphics will look up to date for another 8 years!!!

Great game, really shines on PC thanks to the excellent mod community. The mods give the game practically unlimited replay value with some radical mods that dramatically change gameplay. I do feel like the new vegas world is smaller than FO3 was, however.

That depends on what youre holding. If it's something like the recharger pistol, then ammo is no worry. Dont forget that youre talking to an entire community. I personally would find it awesome to wield two guns. We have to wait and see to be able understand how ammunition and guns work in the next game. Think. What if you COULD actually use the sights with two guns? Or, what if there was a perk which lowered ammo use with dual wields? Possibilities are endless.

151 hours into the game atm and I haven't even entered the Lucky 38 yet. Did every side quest, though, and am finishing the second of four DLC's. And it's so god damn good for PC. The amount of mods and bug fixes Jesus Christ. The mod that allows you to sprint alone is worth it.

In fallout 3 you got a much more epic feeling when you accomplished something or did new quests, it was much more survival than in New Vegas. However in New Vegas you can have much more fun and experiment with weapons and all that

I know I might receive flak for this, but I personally loved New Vegas way more than Fallout 3--and I loved 3. There's just something altogether charming and engaging about the Mojave Wasteland. I like Mr. New Vegas better than Three Dog. The songs are even better, and ADS was included. Plus, I feel that the story is better and the quests more interesting. Does anyone agree? Disagree? Great video by the way! Keep it up CGR!

Fallout 3 was so great I got into morrowind, oblivion, skyrim, new vegas and rage, then tried out fallout 1 and 2. massive RPG's are great..

@foxsneeker It may be annoying if you already plyed through FO 3, but the first time I find the vault part highly interesting and entertaining. It gives your character his background story and it's of course the tutorial.
