That was the only quibble I ever had with it. I wish more games from the series took inspiration from it but it seems to have been swept under the rug in favor of the "classic" style of the prior games.

The Japanese version is much better: "The Japanese version, Return of Double Dragon, features several significant differences from its American counterpart: the title theme and most of the background music were shuffled around (e.g. the Mission 1 theme from the American version is played during Mission 4 in the Japanese version) and the player can perform certain actions which cannot be done in the American version (such as retrieving a boomerang after throwing it or hitting an opponent more than once successively with the hurricane kick). The enemy placement is also different in both versions and weapons such as knives and incendiary bombs do less damage in the Japanese. Enemies can duck end combo blows, thus preventing the player from finishing their combos. The final Mission also features two additional levels before the final battle. An Option Mode is included in the Japanese version as well, allowing the player to adjust the game's difficulty level, as well as listen to the game's music and sound effects."

LuisLEONFC73 Good job on not updating the firmware. I did the same with my original model PS3. I can still install Linux on it. When Sony put out the update to remove that feature, I never downloaded the update and I stopped buying PS3 games.

***** Oh shit! How could I forget that one. I would say Final Fight 2. Funny how Capcom keeps putting out Street Fighter after Street fighter after Street FIGHTER. It's so stupid and people keep running out to the store to buy it. I once mentioned to my brother that it would be nice to release either a 2D or 2.5D remake or reboot of Final Fight using the Capcom game engine for a co-op gameplay.

Syaiful Saad Because Nintendo of America fucked up the entire SFC/SNES design. Over here in Europe, we use to have the original Japanese design as well but in turn got only 50Hz output due to our TV standards back then.

Turrican4D Is that so? Well, I can't speak for TVs in Germany at that time to have 60Hz support all the time, I had one or two myself during the late 90's and early 00's that had no PAL60 or NTSC support at all! My VCR from back then... perhaps, but that's useless unless your screen can show it.
