The live video of this song is an all-time classic. Introduced by David Frost. Gives great insight into how the Beatles brought people from all walks of life together. Well worth watching.

my dear friends I have some things to share with you, about "Hey Jude" and The Beatles 1) In my adolescence (1972, I was 14 years old), thanks to my high school classmates, I discovered The Beatles and the 3rd year English teacher made us write the lyrics of three of their songs in the folder: Yesterday, Hey Jude and Let it be and I grew up listening to them, and I lived them more intensely in their solo careers, especially that of Paul McCartney 2) "Hey Jude" was the first song they recorded and released (on August 30, 1968 I believe) on their own recorder, Apple Records. It was #1 in the UK for two weeks, but in the USA I think it was the best-selling song of 1968. Personally, I consider "Hey Jude" not only the best song by The Beatles, but also the best single in the history of rock, because it shares the single with "Revolution", another fantastic masterpiece, in this case by John Lennon. and I had the enormous joy and emotion of experiencing it performed live by Paul McCartney and his band on his last visit to Buenos Aires (Argentina) in 2019. "Hey Jude" exceeds a song in itself, it is a popular anthem, those four minutes of the final chorus are a universal song where we fans unite, without distinction of creeds, races, sexes, politics, religions or social classes 3) and here we come to the suggestions, for future songs: If I said Hey Jude, I also say it for "Revolution" It's the contrast between Paul's sweetness and John's sarcasm As a soloist I would ask them to "Live and let die" a fantastic song by Paul McCartney, live it is superlative and I don't forget ABBA, we are already in 2024, and it is the 50th anniversary of his conquest of Eurovision with "Waterloo" and it would be fantastic if they made the live video of that historic and iconic performance in Brighton, UK, on the magical April 6, 1974 dear Ladies, I leave you a cordial greeting. and my best wishes for a happy new year (like the title of an ABBA song in 1980)

Wow, Eduardo! I can tell how much this songs means to you and how connected to it you are as well. I believe many would agree with you on this being the finest song. It is definitely an anthem. It must have been so powerful to see Paul sing this live that is a gift. Thanks so much for sharing your story. Happy new year 🤩🧡🎉

Thanks for your reaction to my favorite group of all time, The Beatles. Awesome song, and yes I would like to hear more of them on your reactions. There have so many great songs to choose from. Some of their lesser known songs that I would suggest are "This Boy", "If I Fell", "I'll Be Back", "And, I love Her." As for other groups in the 60s, I would suggest Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, The Righteous Brothers, and the Moody Blues. Thanks and I hope you're having a great year so far.

Hi Robert, I mean what can you say about the Beatles...such a great group who inspired and influenced so many of us. They are one of a kind. There will never be anyone like them again...classic band 🤗💜

Hi Sue, I was far too young to see the Beatles play live, but I did see Paul McCartney play live in 2015. I have of course seen a few tribute bands of various abilities. The number of songs they wrote is beyond belief, compared to the number bands produce today.

Hi Dave, that would have been great to see Paul, I bet. The Beatles as a group and individually are incredible. So much talent and you are so right about their songwriting...unbelievable output of classic amazing songs 🤗💜

The first album by the Beatles I went out and united with my shoplif*** (I ain't that daft!) of the world was Sgt Peppers in 1996. I remember not being that interested in it,...then I played it a second time. I thought "that'll do me" 👌🏻

Hi Sue & Chelsea! Yes, Name That Tune … ding! 🤣 Yup, doesn’t take long. Fun reaction and info. What’s there to say? Classic! I thought The Beatles struck down reactions but I’m seeing more and more. Maybe they’re starting to “get it.” 🤷🏻‍♂️ Maybe a good follow up would be a band the inspired The Beatles? The Rutles! I mean, Let It Rut! Ouch! Piggy In The Middle. The hits just kept on coming and the lads from Liverpool were influenced. What I’d like to see is Cheese And Onions. When John Lennon was asked about The Rutles he just started singing this classic. ‘Nuff said. I’ll try to link the video and see if it works. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ePaHG6g7uFw.htmlsi=ArVpbxul0xsYcUpp Also when it’s time to do the next Tori song may I suggest Chelsea come along for the ride? I’d love to see her take, too. I think “S” is next that’d be a good one. It’s a custom arrangement of that song, for her. Same as “Georgia” was a custom arrangement. Hope both of your New Year’s were fun! Joe

Hey Joe, it sure is a classic. Yep if you don't get it right off the hop then you just don't know the song hahaha. The Beatles are not really the issue for songs getting through. It is Universal Music. They have clamped on all their acts. It is a shame it effects so many groups and artists like the Carpenters, Abba, Bee Gees, Queen etc. They are being ridiculous. It is very difficult to get any of universal's stuff through now. Now if they aren't blocked and can show them, most creators who play them now can't monetize their videos to do it so are making nothing off their videos...very challenging. There are a few companies that are doing this but universal is the biggest so impact content creators the most. I try not to use many songs from them any more because of it

@@playitagainsue I didn’t know Carpenters were affected. I do know they bought the A&M catalog, though. There are a lot of Carpenters songs out there. Are they being struck retroactively? Yikes! What about The Rutles!? OMG, Nasty, Dirk, Stig and Barry must be pissed or rolling in their graves! 🙏 RIP Nasty.
@playitagainsue
@playitagainsue 8 месяцев назад
@jbs256 I will give the Rutles a listen. Yes Carpenters too. If creators are able to get them through , they still can't monetize them unless you get really lucky and they miss something, I think if you got them through then they aren't coming after you so I guess not retroactively but not sure
