This one is very helpful. Glad you pointed out the redness is not an allergic reaction but took responsibility for poor tape placement. I also like you explained cat and doll lash placement and how they shape the eye. Very good video. You are actually a good instructor and very clear. Please could you speak more about how to give a client a cat eye when their eyes have are droppy ?

Thank you! I can make a video, but in the meantime, I would recommend a doll eye for droopy eyes, but if a client still wants a cat eye, a good trick is to keep going from short to long, but make sure the point of the longest lash is not at the very end, but about 4-5 mm away from the edge of their eye, and then you can trail off at the end so you still get the cat eye shape but it's not weighing the ends of the eye down. So for example, I could do from inner to outer corner, 9, 11, 13 and then at the end trail off with 12, 11, 10. Hope that makes sense!

Happy to hear that! Unfortunately with eyelash extensions we do need some kind of lashes to work with. In that case, I would definitely recommend doing a volume so that you can get as much fullness as possible. If the lashes are thin as well, try a 3D lash so that it is not too heavy. Hope this helps!

My question is, for a perfect outcome, do one apply the lash extension in front of the natural lash(the extension lash on top) or at the back(the natural lash on top)? I watched you do it but couldn't figure out the exact position. So, I just want to be sure of what you did. I love your works, they are all amazing 😍😍

Thank you so much for watching! How you place the lash can vary - there is no perfect way. Depending on someone's natural lashes, it may be easier to apply on top or the side for one person, and it may be easier to apply underneath for someone else. It's mainly important to make sure that the base of the extension is attached to the natural lash properly! For volume fans, it tends to work out better to apply volume fans underneath and kind of wrap it around the natural lash, but if the client's lashes don't allow it, applying on top or on the side is okay too!

Hi..I love your videos. With your glue primer, do you just use that after cleaning the lashes and before applying the extensions. Also, my tweezers seem so sharp. I'm so afraid that when I get to live models I am going to hurt them especially while isolating. To your isolation tweezers touch the under eye pad and tape? I feel like I don't have as much control unless mine slightly touch the tape but I am so scared the client will feel my sharp tweezer

Hey - thank you so much! The primer is used after the lashes have been thoroughly cleansed and dried - it helps with the bonding of the glue so you definitely want to apply it after the cleansing process and before you start to lash. That is a common concern for a lot of our students as well - it's a valid concern and it's great that you're worried about your client's well-being. However, if you are using the under eye pad, the white tape and clear tape like I do or even just a couple of tapes, the client will not feel your tweezer if you are utilizing your under eye pad to keep your isolation steady. Of course don't press too hard, and always check in with your client, but a slight pressure or resting your tweezer shouldn't hurt them! :)

Hey I just subscribed thank god you’re an angel. With regard to the angle of the lashes in the middle, inner eye and outer eye. Do you have any suggestions? Should the eyelash be flicking outwards on the outer corner of the eyes and straight up in the middle and inner?

I typically like all of the lashes to be positioned as straight as possible, but you can adjust it to your preference! The only lashes that I think should always be pointing towards the outer corner are L or M curl lashes so that it creates that winged liner look. But I would say have fun with it and maybe test it out on a few different models to see the different looks you can create and what you prefer 💕

So question.. How would you have taken off the lashes that needed to be corrected?? Remember the picture shown on the left eye due to the lashes going everywhere a little bit and you mentioned to correct those.. So I was interested in how we could take off and/or correct or reapply

If I noticed the lashes during the application of the set, I would have use the banana peel method to gently remove the extensions, take off any glue reside and try again! I would have a closer look at the natural lash and determine if I should apply from the side, underneath or on top to make sure the lash will appear straight. A good way to check for these lashes is to use an inspection mirror and check the lashes from underneath. Sometimes when you're applying you can't tell which lashes are kind of off, so using the mirror can help find those lashes!

When using a glue ring , do you used the same glue ring for the whole set ? Does old glue and new glue mix when changing glue every 30 mins ? Just confused as to how to use the glue ring. Love your videos by the way!!

Hey! Yes, I use the same one throughout the set - as you use it, the amount of glue in the ring decreases so when you add in more of the new glue, there's rarely any "old" glue left so the ring gets a fresh batch of the glue. You should change the glue in your ring every 15 minutes or so with this particular glue. If you have a lot of glue left by the time you need to replace it, you can use a tissue to wipe away any remaining glue. If you find you keep having to wipe away glue in between changing the ring, try putting in less glue at a time to avoid wasting too much product. Hope that helps!

I would say go for a doll eye! No one is perfectly symmetrical but a doll eye will definitely open up and even out the eyes :)

Hello from CA! Thanks for watching the video. If you're lashing and you don't like the placement of the extension you just applied, you can easily remove it with the banana peel method, where you hold the natural lash with one tweezer and peel the extension off with the other, or you can loosen the glue bond by wiggling it at the base. If your client's natural lashes are crooked, you can try placing the lash on the side opposite of the side the natural lash is leaning - i.e. if the lash is leaning to the right, applied the lash to the left side of the lash to kind of balance it out. Hey! It looks best on someone whose eyes are already a bit up turned at the outer corners. It can look good on other eye shapes though - a good trick is to add some shorter lashes as you get to the end of the outer corner to create more of an uplifted look without having all the longer lengths bring down the eye shape. How long are the lashes to last? I’m having problems with glue. What glue lasts the longest? Thank you very good video

Hey! On average it should last the client 4-6 weeks before they all fall out naturally but most will want to come in around the 2-3 week mark for a re-fill. It's not so much which glue you use but how you store the glue and use it! Make sure you are following the guidelines for whichever glue you are using - it can't get too hot or cold and may need to be in a specific humidity. For example, our glues are best in 30-70% humidity at around 71F and we recommend storing in the original packaging where there is a salica packet that will absorb humidity. Make sure you are using enough glue (but not too much) and that you are changing out your glue every 10-20 minutes from the glue ring or other tool that you may be using so you can make sure your glue is fresh

I also typically isolate with curved tweezers and apply with straight tweezers but good to switch it up and test out different things once in a while!

haha it is tricky, but I try to angle the glue ring in a way where it is leveled as much as possible, and in an area of my finger where it is secure. I also try not to fill the ring too much either.

Hey! Not a weird question at all. I actually prefer detaching that attachment and using a memory foam pillow at the end of the bed instead. We do sell one on our website - the product name is "Eyelash Pillow- Memory foam pillow" and we have it in a few colors! If you can't order from our website, any pillow that is memory foam with great neck support will be your best option. Another great thing to have in your room is a wedge pillow that clients can put under their legs as it can be uncomfortable having your legs straight for 1-2 hours or more. Hope this helps!

It can be anywhere from 10-20 minutes - the faster drying the glue, the more often I change it and vice versa

Wispy means that there are different lengths throughout the eye, and some of the lashes stick out in length throughout, versus all of the lashes being more uniform. Volume just means there are multiple lash extensions on one natural lash.

Hey! Sometimes the client will have a preference, but generally if the eyes are a bit downturned in the outer corners, a doll eye will be more flattering!

Hi , Just watched your video to see if I can resolve this but I am not a lash artist. I wanted a pro opinion if you could please advise me . I went for a fill and keep in mind this is my second time having a set and getting a fill and I noticed that I had much more glue clumps than before . In fact, it was difficult for me to open my eye at first but i thought she resolved it after. I ended up having to remove after a week because the clumps made it difficult to clean my lashes and that irritated my eyes. Was this just a rookie’s mistake? Should i have just waited longer for a fill? What’s a good timeframe ? I really want them done again but i’m taking a break for a month or so -Thinking I should see someone else next time for this ?

In general, if you really wanted do upkeep your lashes, you could go once a week so you really can't go too often. It is a possibility that she didn't isolate your lashes well, or there was an issue with the glue. It's hard to say what the issue was, but I don't think it's how often you go for a fill!

I went 2 and a half weeks after the new set. she had made a remark like “It’s a little wispy because the ones i had on currently were stuck on really well” (&im assuming couldn’t be removed?). so it was probably isolating the lashes. she did an awesome job the first full new set but I am going to try someone else next time to see how it goes. 🙏🙏 thanks again

Actually I don't know what is the problem when I do lashes whether retention or application when the client's complain their lashes fell off after two days or within a week plz I need help.

It could have to do with glue storage and/or if you are properly cleansing and priming the lashes before you start. We have some videos on glue as well as how to prep the lashes - those may be able to shed some light on why you are having retention issues

@@nadiifonalka1619 Thanks for clarifying! There's a few reasons why that could happen! If they aren't properly washing their lashes every day and brushing them after a shower, makeup residue and oil buildup can stick the lashes together and cause it to feel hard and hurt the client. Another reason could be that you may not be properly isolating or the glue you are using is taking too long to dry and the extensions are sticking to each other once you let go. I would confirm with her if she is doing the proper aftercare first - washing the lashes, not using oil products, etc - and if she is, then double check your work and isolation next time around and maybe try a faster drying glue next time around! Hope this helps 🙏🏻

Your glue must dry quick because I have to allow 5 seconds to dry or the lash extension next to it will move.

Hey! Our glues are designed to dry pretty quickly, I believe I'm using our Mega Hold glue in this video, which dries in 0.5-1 seconds. If that is too fast, our Premium glue is a great option and dries in 1-2 seconds and our sensitive glue dries in 2-3 seconds. We sell our premium and mega hold glues in 2mL bottles if you wanted to try them out in a smaller size!

Depending on the eye pad, the glue can seep through and glue the eyepad on the skin and cause irritation.

Hey! Do you feel like the lashes are attached to your skin? I would ask your lash tech to check on those for you to make sure there are no lashes touching your skin or stuck together

@@KS-wf2kk She probably didn't isolate properly, or the lashes got stuck together as she was applying them. I would definitely reach out to her so she can fix the issue or remove the lashes! Also, if you have been using makeup with them or not cleaning them, sometimes the glue can break down and cause the lashes to clump together.

@@Verified.Whitney Hey! I would try to use my tweezers to very very gently separate them, but if the whole set is like that, then I would suggest removing with a cream or gel remover and re-doing the set!

It depends on what they ask for! If they ask you to recommend a shape, doll eye is usually the most flattering on most people! If they have downturned eyes, I would always recommend doll eye.

I just came across a video by accident but omg the way she’s applying scares me lol. Her clients are going to have soooo many wrinkles if they keep going to her. The tape she uses is not suitable for the delicate eye area and the way she pulls it off makes me cringe 🥴 and the wash cloth!! Omg don’t get me started on how she rubs the eye

Hey! Thanks for your comment. As I mentioned in this video, these are mainly mistakes that common lash techs make so definitely not a demonstration of perfect technique. However, the under eye patches are actually really delicate and make a barrier between the under eye area and the tape and it's meant to soothe the under eyes while I'm applying and super easy to take off. The tape we use is medical grade and safe for the skin. Hope that clears things up!

@@mallorycooper1350 I watched a different video where she tugged at the under eye area when she removed the tape very fast, it made me cringe. The client also already had under eye wrinkles. That’s what I was referring to! It could easily be avoided by using two hands, one to hold the skin & slowly remove the tape.

Ladies, you look WAY prettier and sexier when you don't look fake. False lashes are SO tacky looking. Everyone is walking around looking like cheap prostitutes. LOL. I know that can be fun once in a blue moon, but everyday? Come on! LOL. No guys I know like it. They just put up with it. What you're seeing is not what they're seeing.
