Holy shit Opie actually made me laugh when they were being the 20 year old mind inside the baby complaining about wanting things for adults. There's a first for everything
And to think there are parents out there who would shake their child to death if it cried too much. 20+ years and still going. These parents are saints.
Charles F. the girl doesn't know - she's a perma-BABY. As long as the parents can and do take care of her..... What would you have them do, put her in a sack with a brick & toss it in the river?
The parents did it for the attention. They had their eternal baby and everyone around them would say how strong and amazing they are and it got them off.
Add some Circus Music to the Katie show episode of this.... ♪♫♪ Yat dat da da da da da dah da da ♫♪♫ Yat dat da da Yat dat da da da da da dah ♪♫♪.......
John NoNameGibbon Yeah even Ant isn't funny at all on his own. They really did work so well together. Even Ant with Jim a couple weeks back wasn't good. To be honest, Opie is more entertaining bc of how annoying he gets.
Read a medical study on her and I believe it stated that, luckily, she has “cortex thickening” so she definitely was not a 20 year old trapped inside. She would have had the mind of an infant likely. The telomeres on her DNA were also shortening at the average rate so she was aging, you just didn’t really see it.
Holy Shit!!!! I am listening to this in 2022, and I said to myself Christ the mom talks like stalker Patty and the Dad sounds like Club soda Kenny!!!! I thought is this a fuckin Bit?? Until Opie said the Dad sounds like CK
I have to say it, what future does Brooke have if she stays an infant for life? If they study her (humanely of course) and that leads to new discoveries, then that's fine if she stays an infant. Otherwise if they develop a cure, maybe take it, for her sake.
She died 9 months later from bronchomalacia. Most children just grow out of it and she couldn't. I'm surprised she lasted 20 years being perpetually vulnerable to childhood disease.
This girls father was very selfish. How can he say that if there was a cure for this child to become a normal adult and get to live their life like everyone else that he would not accept it and keep this girl a baby forever. What a Sh*thead!
Andrew Griffith I wonder if they finished her genome study before she passed? I study anthropology for fun, and that's kind of important. Maybe she has a gene in there that prevents aging that we can trigger when we want to stop people from aging? It's not impossible.
Andrew Griffith I was just reading about it as you replied. They're not sure if the cause is the exactly the same. Or if they have different problems leading to similarly odd results.
There's got to be something that is causing it that we can learn from to help fight aging. I mean the world we live in. Cameras the size of a pin. Space flight, cloning, everything today, 40 years ago they'd look at you like you were nuts if you told them
