Why does Opie get "creeped out" when people lie? I mean it's not a positive attribute, but not exactly abnormal behavior either. Who hasn't claimed they were sick to get out of work / school / etc.? Coming in with an eye patch to bolster your lie is like something you'd see out of a sitcom, it's almost endearing. Basing the Columbine-type scenarios on that is kind of insane in and of itself. Yeah, I know it's comedy but when there's no logical connection the joke doesn't even make sense.
