The opening intro music has the biggest overdose of the fuzz and wah-wah guitar pedals that I have ever heard in any rock song

Thank you for posting this. To bad it didn’t have all the other classes as well. An old friend won the super Comp class I believe at the 77 Gator Nationals.

Super Comp was not a class in 1977. That didn’t come until well into the 1980s

I went to my first Gatornationals in 1986 & have been hooked every since. What I don't understand in watching this 1977 event is why the Funny Cars obviously have a "reverser" in the transmissions but the Top Fuel cars don't. Anyone out there have an explanation?
