I feel the same way. Lets convert warcraft into RuneScape. I also really want a way for users to own their own realms. That way you can actually setup events.
The guy who made this video was in his chat and wanted him to watch it on stream dude. Stop acting on behalf of people when you dont know what your talking about.@@mu551988
This is such a solid video in terms of cinematography, narrative, and storytelling. I haven't played WoW for at least a decade, and you just made me excited.
One thing we all have in common is the fact we can all debate about wow for hours, I Just met a random guy at a wedding the other day and spent the entire night talking about wow in the good old days😂
This video deserves a couple hundred K more views, let's go buddy you sure know how to make somebody HYPE. Super well made vid! And I really hope classic+ becomes a reality.
@@Desperado070 So, back to some super shitty browser style game with graphics that look straight out of a Nintendo 64, that shit is GAR-BAGE. WoW is anything but dead, keep on playing your game for people who are nostalgic for a game they could play on their library computers in middle school.
@@eboethrasher ... Kinda funny huh, you playing classic wow but you dare to talk about graphics 😂 Zelda on the nin64 looked even better than world of warcraft classic does, playing a game only for nalstagia reasons and then telling someone else does that? hahaha What is is? Was it just that ur school was poor and that is why you couldn't play wow on there? 😂
I'm sorry for saying but do you know osrs has more players than classic wow and retail wow combined? Then counting rs3 + osrs vs wow classic + wow retail and runescape almost has twice as much players xD Yea man just keep running in circles with your pink glasses on and just keep telling others they are doing as you do. @@eboethrasher
It's a very fine line between making classic+ and accidentially making retail again. It's important that they keep the "less is more" concept that has worked so great for vanilla. It's a simple task to make classic+, content wise, but it is even easier to ruin the classic experience alltogether. I honestly wish to see the community gathered again, not split into different versions of the game. That said, good video and stellar editing. I'm hoping for a classic+ announcement at Blizzcon.
I think the key is the main point he's making in the video. Don't make expansions that makes all the old content irrelevant. Find a way to build new content in the world they already have.
Ok, so here is the thing. You guys keep staying "Dont make old content irrelevant" How long do you want Classic to last? 2 years? 5 years? 10? At SOME point the old content becomes irrelevant no matter what, IF you make all content relevant for 5-10 years. How do you expect ANYONE new to want to jump on board? Tell them, "Yea so you wanna play this game, it has awesome leveling and end game content, but to get to max level its going to take you, about 2-3 weeks. (Remember NEW PLAYER) thne once you hit max level you have to go through 5-10 years worth of max level content, to catch up to me to be able to do the new raid coming out next year." You think any normal person would be like ? "LETS GOO!" no they wont. Or lets go on the route of, some content is added as catchup. Well you just bypassed things and completely negated teh whole "dont make old content irrelevant" The entire reason "expansions" make previous content "irrelevant" is because adding infinite amounts of stuff on top of stuff as a + without any removal. WILL create people going "this is too fucking much" or people skipping certan content to by pass into other content because "whats the point of doing MC/Ony/BWL if we can do Kara/random 1 boss raid/Emerald Dream, to get better gear to jump into Naxx 40, then jump right into new raid. or lets say 4 years from now they add new dungeons. How is this gear going to compare to current classic gear. How are they going to itemize it? Cant be the "same" as current gear then people will say blizzard has no creativity, but it cant be too creative as people will complain its too different from classic itemization. The Issue never was "dont make old content irrelevant" the issue always was "post WOTLK game went downhill due to changes to how the game worked and felt" @@alexb9566
@@Ao2BairdTUR You are assuming vertical progression and endless tiers of raids. Why limit yourself in that way? Horizontal progression exists and is successful (see: Guild Wars 2) and new content doesn't have to be level 60.
and look at how dead GW2 is compared to FFXIV and WoW. Bad argument. More people play Retail than GW2. Horizonal Progression is undesirable and a horrible system. Its irrelevant and a waste of dev time if its the main/only feature. @@vstr
@@Ao2BairdTUR You are the reason why we cannot have a vote system, people are playing classic era not wrath. TBC and Wrath was the beginning of the end, people just started to get into WoW from the noise vanilla brought and new MMO players were still new to gaming in general. I hope to god you won't ask for arena, Rated BGs or some form of rating system. Classic works because we don't separate people. Items will be fine, introducing things like mastery and haste is a horrible idea cause it just makes you feel your character less and makes it harder for the players who aren't as good. Classic is hard because of the journey and not because of the content, Classic works because its simple and easy. You swing the sword and it hits something, you swing the sword with big number and now you feel stronger, you swing sword with more crit and you feel your powerful crits. Its a simple system that works extremely well and shouldn't change.
11/10 This video is incredible. Perfect build up and presentation, touches on all the right strings of nostalgia and what made WoW so amazing to begin with, ends on a climatic natural cliffhanger by directing focus to the coming Blizzcon. Apart from that, editing, filming, and voice-over is flawless.
This video is edited so good. The Classic WoW community needed this. And blizzard needs to see it lets get this video blown up everyone! Felt like i was watching a documentary or some thing. Absolutely blown away. 💯👏
Imagine the continuation of the Ashbringer storyline. As it was originally meant to be, where Mograine's son is the only one who can reforge the sword. 1. Questlines in 1-60 being finished properly (Morrowgrain, Crystal in Darkshore, Defias, Wailing Caverns and many more...) Jediwarlock has some very cool speculation videos on these 2. 40 man Karazhan Raid 3. Original and Finished Hyjal (either as zone or raid) 4. Scarlet Crusade content 5. Scourge content 6. Old Outland and original Black Temple/Citadel (as hinted in the slides that were shown when Vanilla was originally presented) 7. Emerald Dream (nightmare/demon content) 8. Uldum (more Old God in the desert content, that one never fails) 9. Cool event similar to the Scepter of the Shifting Sands questline. The possibilities are endless, simply because the Lore of the game exists in an "unfucked" state in the moment that Kel'Thuzad is destroyed in Naxxramas. Of course, it should still start at level 1 and fresh.
If they could just undo like 90% of the story decisions they've made that alone would pique my interest again. I remember loving WoW lore back in classic and always wanting to learn more. I would not get my hopes up though. Blizzard wants you to go to the more monetizable game.
Maybe if you make it into a sandbox mmo, reason it works for osrs is because of it's sandbox nature. Wow is a themepark mmo. So they would need to change the core philosophy.
I want classic+ so bad bros, I need Metzen to deliver us into greatness sidenote, this is unbelievably good editing, I look forward to whatever more you have coming if you make more!
I loved when the game was slower, more calculated. The engine really shines that way. The way it is now makes the engine feel old and archaic. Also Classic + will never be possible, unless Blizzard hires the original team that worked on WoW in 2000-2007. You have the C team working where the A team needs to be.
I do too, but the thing about something like Baldur’s Gate 3 turned based or not is it does not feel slower at all, it is like a full on panic attack most battles and I love it. I never got past level 30 in WoW Classic, but it was still fun for a month.
I just wanna be able to quest in Mount Hyjal and Deadwing's Pass and be able to be in the middle of Duskwood on Classic+. PS: Mount Hyjal was actually available in classic (but with a secret path that had a glitch where you could jump over from Winterspring in order to enter it).
During the original TBC my hearthstone bugged out and teleported me to the empty Mount Hyjal zone. Literally nothing there but I had my fun with it. Took me a while to get out though.
Just watched on Xaryu's channel. Awesome editing. I think some of the end description of classic+ was a bit of empty platitudes, ("play the game your way" etc.). I would appreciate focus on more concrete items, you mentioned the polling that OSRS does, and I agree that would be a big success.
Classic+ Ideas: - Tyr's Hand, Hearthglen, Grim Batol and Stormgarde dungeons/raids - Across the board light class tuning (4th talent tree?) and updates to the less viable specs - Kara Catacombs dungeon - Blood Elf and Draenai playable with their original starting zones, retuned for classic (hardest part would be retconning and retelling of tbc lore) - Hyjal zone and revamped 60 hyjal raid - Allied Races including Ogres (Horde) and Furbolgs (Alliance) locked behind extensive quest chain and rep farm. Timbermaw Hold can be expanded into a faction city, Ogre city location would depend on which Ogre clan joins the Horde - 4 emerald dream portals leading to new multi-tiered ED raid - Additional World Bosses including new powerful demons emerging in southern winterspring, grom's memorial in ashenvale, desolace, the dark altar in Searing Gorge, Demon Hunter's caves in Ashara and Darkshore, etc - random and reoccurring invasions including the Scourge, Forgotten Ones (old gods), silithids, elementals, Naga, Dragonoids, Burning Legion, etc - AV style battlegrounds located in Azshara - new world-pvp incentives and incentives for major city invasions - honor system revamp - finish dead-end quest chains (Eranikus comes to mind) - Silithid raid under Tanaris - Caverns of Time opened. existing CoT dungeons turned for vanilla and new dungeons including the Dark Portal opening in Blasted Lands, the Burning Legion invasion of the Well of Eternity, or other historically important events. - purchasable Bank tabs with more bag slots - expensive 24-30 slot bags - some QoL improvements as long as they dont detract from vanilla's core philosophy. these could include dual/triple speccing, dismount flight path button, meeting stones outside dungeons can summon players, etc - Battle for Blackrock Mountain pvp event (winning faction can get buffs while doing dungeons/raids there) - mythic+ versions of dungeons and raids and a leaderboard accessible in major cities - instanced player housing - new professions including woodcutting and carpentry (yes im stealing this idea from Ascension lol) and tbc professions of inscription (glyphs could be only cosmetic) and jewelcrafting (socketable gear could come from new end game content and a blacksmithing item can add a socket) - Mount taming - New arenas in Orgrimmar (near hunter trainer area) and Stormwind (behind locked gate area) and a few other key locations on Azeroth, like the center of Dire Maul. - 1v1 "Fight Clubs" in Gadgetzhan, Booty Bay and Everlook with exclusive pvp titles and mount rewards - Dragon & Dinosaur dungeon in Ungoro - light zone improvements/revamps for desolace, stonetalon, and other currently less-favorable zones - racing event in Shimmering Flats - Dire Maul Raid - Class mounts for Shamans - new zones where the azeroth map is currently blank - pirate raid near that island off the coast of the barrens and also off the southern coast of STV - dragon themed dungeon in northeastern Hinterlands - new WSG style battleground in Hinterlands, new AB style bg in desolace - new official leveling challenges including Hardcore, Nightmare (hardcore with increased mob dmg and health), and Ironman (no assistance from other players or AH) with exclusive titles and cosmetic rewards. Instead of permanent death, characters failing these challenges could simply be disqualified, allowed to continue leveling regularly. hardcore death remains permanent. later we could even add unofficial community created challenges to spice things up. players would do these simply for fun and bragging rights. - Zul'Farak raid accesable from inside ZF, one difficulty higher than Zul'Gurub - Zul'Aman, one difficulty higher than new ZF raid - Pet Battles - Dragonkin become tamable for hunters - with a new talent, BM Hunters can use 2 pets, Ele Shamans can enslave Elementals, Shadow Priests can enslave Undead, Demonology Warlocks can permanently enslave a demon and use both the enslaved and their class demon together - some abilities added from tbc to freshen up classes. - More tier sets from new end game content, more dungeon tier sets with questlines just like T .5 - improved auction house and last but certainly not least... - banning multi-boxing - banning bots (im optismistic here) or at the very least making an actual effort to deter botting... - wow token (i dont want this but its already in Classic and Retail sooo..) - no transmog (Unless its disabled in pvp?i dont think transmog fits in any version of classic tbh.) - no flying mounts, max level of riding skill up to 150%
looking at most of this just play retail it has most of this ... mythic+ versions of dungeons and raids and a leaderboard accessible in major cities would single handily ruin the classic experience
@@aurawolf664 yea I dont disagree that its a struggle, but I also think one of the kind of beauty or magic of classic raids is that alot of the content still stays relevant. Its almost like making it so most classes and specs have to do each raid to get something thats bis, so that way you will always have a mix of experienced and newer players being able to stay open to the whole end game content and not just the "seasonal" and even that I dont think is exactly how you do it either, but I do think some of classics end game magic is how you can kind of get something from all the raids
yoooo, classic+ being a great idea aside. This is a banger of a video from the content creation side. The music choice, your lines, your voice. Really activated all the hype and nostalgia. I wanted Class + but now I REALLY want classic + nice freakin' job mate. subbed
@@undacuvabrotha Putting old stuff on a new engine would 100% suck, both for devs and for players. Blizzard is not what it was... it's not a small company of passionate D&D nerds making a copy Warhammer game. No, this is a corporate shell of a company that will cut corners at every chance, and prioritize on how to make every possible way to get money from the player, instead of a enjoyable experience. Just enjoy Classic and be happy. Any person who thinks or wants a WoW 2 still doesn't get it..
Let’s get more subs for this guy!!! The quality and dedication of this video just helped galvanize the Classic+ community! Excellent work! 10/10 cheers bro! Thank you for this! We ALL appreciate YOU!
Brings a tear to my eye thinking that this is so close to happening. Thank you to you and everyone else making us all heard, the classic community and the private server era community have set this in motion and we should all be proud that we are proving that this mmo can never die and that we do know what we want even if Allan Brack tried to tell us we were wrong! I hope to see all of you out there in the old BUT new Azeroth continuining this great legacy of a game. Classic world of warcraft will never die and can only continue to be great if we keep this community and classic + movement going!! I also love your editing of this video, everythign was well said and the video quality was just great. I was very surprised to see you on less than 2k Subs. I will watch your career with great anticipation, thank you for the great video.
Hardcore WoW made some really good changes to Classic WoW. The new rules like only 1 dungeon run a day, anti-boost, have made the open world felt alive. I would love to see these anti-boost / 1 dungeon per day limitation implemented in Classic+.
Hey cool! 5:48 is footage from one of my more popular videos! Cool to see it popped up on the radar after being so long away from the game and content making, and in such a great video too!
Gotta remember I was one of the people who spammed NO CHANGES. In a project 60 classic-like mode on moonguard I participated in a road to 60 in the guild at the time called with no heirlooms and walking to the dungeon with the community of people who did it in 2016 or so. It was fun and it was good. First time I ever experienced the closest thing the players at the time would replicate vanilla from 2004. I played a orc shaman and was elemental. I picked up all of the best in slot elemental gear for what is considered phase 1. The point and moral to this story; if done with precision like building an intricate watch that is somewhat similar to Chromie’s Time Machine but instead of backwards in time, it’s something else entirely. This can be done right in the hands of the player base. For years now blizzard hasn’t been able to satisfy us through retail. It gladdens me blizzard is listening in someway with classic hardcore and I can see they too are happy with the progress of trusting their community and player base without putting a big price tag on it and milking it dry.
The chills this video gave me was a feeling like loading that first disc in my CDrom drive back in 2004 when the game was released. Well done my friend what a masterpiece
man, i keep coming back to this vid. It s just to good. only other video that had me coming back was savix video "rogue experience" in shadowlands... i hope u do more content of that quality !
This is what would finally win me back to playing a classic iteration of WoW. A version that expands the base game, but takes it in a new direction, holding firm to the design principles and styles that made the original iteration of the game fantastic.
Classic featured a true hierarchy of progression and a sense of community. The two, combined, propel each other and create motivation to play. You play to be better than your peers, to interact with your peers, to progress. If you remove community, you remove motivation to show off your gear, to interact, to exist within the world. If you remove progression, then everyone is equal, and there's no point in trying harder.
Classic+ could potentially be so easy. Introducing such minor changes (such as bringing back holy strike from the alpha version, or the getting mana when healed) could make specs like prot and Ret for paladins actually compete with the others. Minor changes to classes to make all specs playable is really all I would need for it to feel like an incredible expanded new game
Amazing video. I don't know if Blizzard will actually do Classic+ and if they do, I feel as if it's going to be botched in typical Blizzard fashion. However, I will play and give it a shot of course. I strongly believe that private servers are the future from here on out.
You said something that caught me, a "forever game". I've been looking for that my whole life , something that can be built upon, but not entirely changed, forever.
As long as they don't raise the level cap and make older content (raid tier, dugeons, ...) useless, we should be good. PS : wtf this video editing and production is astounding, GG mate.
10/10 Video. Its always amazes me to see how creative the classic community is and what we already achieved in this long journey. It really feels like a community effort.❤ - You think you do,but you don't - Nostalrius - Classic re release - Classic HC - Classic + ???
The dude at 4:17 said it perfectly. That and the emphasis on community… you needed to work together to accomplish things, it was in your best interest to develop friendships. Back in the day wow felt magical, now I’ll play for a day or two and forget I subbed.
Great video! How long did it take for you to make this sort of video? This one video could go viral and make your channel explode! (for the record, as of writing this comment you're sitting at 348 subs and this video has 657 views)
Thanks so much! This vid took around a month of planning. Writing, recording, filming, but by far the most time consuming thing was finding the right clips to use. Really appreciate your comment brother, and let’s hope 🤞🏻
The first time I played wow was as a shy 13 year old during Legion. I didn't really enjoy it that much, especially since I wasn't ever able to make it to raid nights. (everyone in my guild was from Western Europe, I was from eastern, they had jobs and I couldn't stay up that late.) I fell in love with stories of massive WPVP battles, Madseason's vids, etc. When classic came out I fell in love with it as well, even though it was a game as old as myself. I really wish they do Classic+ and do it right, because no other game can replicate that feeling, other than Classic.
I actually watched a reaction of this, but I opened a new tab to play this on the background to get the view. It deserves every view. I hope the algo will pick it up.
This video is amazing. The editing, the narrative, the voice overlay. I immediately clicked off of Asmongold's reaction video and went straight here to give you your well earned view. Amazing!
When i saw the video i was shocked by HOW GOOD IT IS MADE, but after that i got even more shocked when i saw that you have only 2.65k subscribers! MAN YOU DESERVE ATLEAST 200K
All the copium content we never got that is shown in this video such as gilneas, emerald dream, hyjal, etc. IS IN Turtle WoW which is already the ideal Classic+ experience from what I’ve seen.. WoW itself will never deliver Classic+ until it messes with their cash flow 😅 basically they won’t ever do this until players give them a clear reason to do so! A new/fresh pvp server is opening on October 27th for Turtle WoW so if you’re looking for a classic+ experience i’d check that out as I certainly will be maybe blizzard will take notes from 🐢👑
Clearly he knows about it since he included some footage from turtle's latest trailer. I guess he's delusional enough to think blizzard will do better than twow 😂

The sound design! Finally someone implementing it into gaming. Just a turning point in game video editing. Hope people recognize it. Great video, great edit, great sound design. Looking forward to see a new video!
I'd only want Classic+ if I felt confident that Blizzard could retain what makes Classic WoW special even when doing Classic+. And unfortunately, I don't, not the current Blizzard. Here's the thing, Classic WoW with no expansion is a completely different game from not only retail, but even BC and Wrath. Every incremental improvement in gear matters in Classic WoW, every time more mobs spawn around you or a patrol gets pulled in a dungeon or raid you risk death, every quest is necessary to level up, gold is very hard to come by, it is just a ruthless grind. But in Classic, through some intense efforts and a lot of hours put in, you can feel your character going from a nobody to an elite warrior for your faction but that's still all you are, a warrior. You're not some chosen one, you're just some dude constantly barely escaping death. In contrast, in Wrath, not even retail just Wrath, you can literally start the game as a level 55 harbinger of death and the first quest you get in Wrath is given to you by your faction leader and it involves you becoming basically the second-in-command of the expeditionary force in Northrend for your faction. Basically, a character in WoW Classic is a DnD murder hobo but every expansion since has tried their hardest to convince the player that you're an incredibly important part of your faction even when there are 200 people with the same level and gear around you getting the same quests. It just feels like you didn't earn that while every stats or reputation increase in WoW classic is earned through your sweat and blood. I really hope I'm wrong mind you but at the end of the day, I do not trust Blizzard to change Classic WoW and have it still feel like Classic WoW.
I was 8 years old when I first played wow. It had been out for 6 months and me and my mum and dad would play the game. I remember being very noob and bad at the game. It took me 8 months to reach level 40 because all I did was run around with my online friend and we would type for ages, duel each other and explore crazy zones. I remember seeing this Orc warrior who had rank 14 gear on and being in absolute awe at the sight of him and he would help me and my IRL friend do hard quests or kill alliance in stranglethorn and other zones. He was the coolest player ever to us because 99% of people that were geared like him ignored us and were smug af while this rank 14 war was not only a unit but a lad to me and my friend. i didn't get to properly experience the content in wow until like mid TBC because by then i started maturing and becoming better at the game.
I was 12 staying at a friends house who had a good computer. I downloaded the game with a free trial and leveled a mage after my friends fell asleep. Before I knew it I was level 8 and the birds were chirping outside. It was 5am.
Would be cool to see a lvl40 or lvl45 20man scarlet raid or grim batol setup as a dual instance like Lbrs/Ubrs. Fishing quests that have you kill an elite shark for zones along the coast. Or actually finish unfinished quests, zones and raids.
Vanilla is an actual open world MMO, and not some bullshit raid log dungeon simulator. There is endless known missing features, dungeons, zones, quests, items, professions, pvp BG's -- that can all be added to the OG level 60 version of WoW without taking away anything. You know, EXPANDING the game? Classic + if done, is the WoW killer, its true predecessor.
