Classical Gas - Larry Fast (Synergy) 

It takes me back to College days in the late 70's! I would listen to this when studying because there were no words to distract.

I first heard this around 1984. I was working in a planetarium and this tune was used in one of our laser shows. We often used Synergy's first album for walk-in music. I still listen to it!

This is one of my all time favorite pieces of music. great for testing out a new set of speakers

Hard to believe how Larry took this deft little acoustic guitar piece by Mason Williams and transformed it into an ear-ripping power trip! Yes, this is a cover song.

Wow this brings back memories. I bought this way back in 76 on 8-Track LOL. Wore it out and got it again on vinyl. It's still in my collection.

OH MY GOD, WHAT A SO WONDERFULL MUSIC!!! FANTASTIC!!! I FEEL LIKE LISTENNING TO IT AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN!!! SIMPLY WONDERFULL!!!

This is a MASTERPIECE.

Being a child of the Apollo space age and then following most all of NASA's space missions, enthralled by the Shuttle in my adult life and now the Artemis program, it just tickled me to watch your wonderfully edited video accompanied by one of my favorite songs of my teenage years! Bravo Scalpsie!

I have all of the first four Synergy LPs on vinyl (including a clear vinyl "Cords") AND on CD (including a personally autographed "Games") and I wouldn't part with them for anything. On top of that, by sheer coincidence I work with a former music journalist who personally knows Larry Fast. It'd be great to have lunch and coffee and to talk shop with Larry; the man is a true genius and pioneer of electronica.

This is amazing on a really good headphones. Itls like listenging to an incredibly sound sculpture. Different shapes come at you from all over the place. it's stereo at it's very best. Where did stereo go??!!!

Kick ass version! Especially considering it was recorded some 35 years ago.

Very good. This was personally inspiring to me since as a teen in the 70's I got sick of longhairs and their guitars. I wanted something DIFFERENT, something that appealed to what I had no name for, but which I now recognize is my cold, cold silicon heart. Then came the 80's, synth bands, and inno-freaking-vation. I had to wait a while longer for digital CDs for that even more inhuman music delivery-mode. Nice going. Listen also to "Phobos and Deimos Go To Mars".

I love my clear vinyl record as well.

I have the vinyl of the album this is from. I don't think Larry used Moog systems. I would have to look at the listing on the back of the album. But who cares if he used Moog or not. I was an early fan (still am) of early electronic music.
