Classical girl pianist is shocked by an unconventional version of an 18th Century harpsichord tune. TWO shocked girl pianists here: • Two Classical Girls To...
The woman standing there is so great. She was so willing to be helpful, and then, the expression on her pretty face while he was playing was so precious.
This dude gives me goose bumps. I'm not a musician, and I don't have a refined musical "pallette," but I do love the combination of classical European and American jazz. Amazed every time I hear him play. 👏👏
I actually found it a bit offensive to the gal TBH (pianist-to-pianist-wise, didn't even get the sexual reference). Only one? I obviously understand he was just fooling around, and meant no offense!!!. But if you can play at "level: asian", just do so u___u'
Between the incredible music and the awesome reactions on that ladies face, how much better can it get. It's amazing how the body just reacts to great music. She is shaking her head just as I was when he was boogie woogieing.
I had no interest in pianos until I heard you play classical music and my god you are absolutely brilliant Brendan, you have the opportunity of changing the lives of millions of people in many ways. I would love to see you in Africa and Asia surprising people. I sense your passion is jazz however I would love to hear you play les miserables and other big classics. Thank you for sharing your videos and keep up the excellent work.
Don't worry so much about talent. It's overrated. No matter who you are, you've always got room to improve- and from the sounds of it, you've got a whole lot. That means, get determined, and put in the hours of practice. Be like the tortoise rather than the hare- just don't be like the sloth who thought he never had a chance, and didn't even try.
We learned how to play instruments, by playing them. I play guitar and sing. In sessions in 1999, people were telling me to play softly, so that they can't hear me, and if I can't do that, go home and practice more. Now I'm paid to play and sing at festivals. What did I do? I just kept at it. I kept identifying where I sucked and worked to fix it, to the best of my ability. Other musicians sometimes gave me harsh criticism. I sucked up my pride and listened, because most of the time, they were right. And oh, how it hurt, to do that. But it's made me a better player. And now constructive criticism hurts my feelings a lot less. It's not easy, but it's worth it.
CONGRATULATIONS BRENDAN KAVANAGH... i Met You This Day... And Many Others Where They've Got THIS GREAT IDEA To Put Pianos In Public Stations... WISH YOU THE BEST... AND BEAUTIFUL MET... -:)
It doesn't matter what style of music you play, a person with music in their soul cannot help smiling with real joy when good music of any style is being played - just like she did, bless her....🙌
Just love how all the "geniuses" are dissing on this guy as tho he's some kind of show off hack! Do you have any idea how many musicians on this planet don't know the note names or modes or scales, but are self taught to the degree to light up the fretboard or keyboard like this guy just did. To all you formal "experts" this dude has more soul and groove than you could dream of having..... thaty's why players play and haters hate, that's all they're good at!!!
I think that’s the most enjoyable rendition of Minuet in G by Bach I have ever heard in the whole of my life! The classically trained guitarist in me cringed at first but then, my rock and blues parts took over and I began to thoroughly get into it. That really zested up the peace. For just a tiny moment, the marble statue breathed, opened its eyes and looked upon the world. Classically trained musicians are taught not to improvise. The piece is supposed to be played precisely according to how the music is written. Oh, you can change it up just a tiny bit usually things like rubatto and by speeding it up or slowing it down in certain places and that sort of thing. But, not to this extent. I mean, it’s Baroque meets blues or jazz or both. Utterly delightful! I wonder how many other pieces could be livened up this way. Might cause more people to be drawn to classical music. That’s important. The fan base has been diminishing for years.
Thank you for what you do, not only for us RU-vid audience but for all the people who hear your music, even if they don’t stop to listen, as it carries with them the rest do the day and brightens the world. Our world needs more of this
Play this in the Netherlands and everybody Will be happier than you could ever imagine, the tune became popular because of our mystical themepark “the Efteling”
At 68, I am learning to play the guitar and hopefully that dream of being able to be play a musical intsrument will come to fruition but I know I it will take me a lot of practice to be able to play well.
Dr. K, I absolutely love your over the top clickbait titles. They just capture what’s wrong with everything in this world, in a way. And then you show that in spite of clickbait the content has everyone beat. If any clickbait is worth it, your is and always will be.
Thats the best video yet from Brendan for sure!!! Try watching "the duel" From electric dreams and you might see yet another variation on a theme of boogie woogie!!
Brendan just create smiles at every ones face by his way to play that piano One a scale from zero to ten..hummm...should we give him 20 he he he :-() :-() ;-)
I wonder what Bach would have thought of it! I a imagine Mozart (not a contemporary of Bach) would have loved this kind of thing - if he was about today, other than being ancient lol, I think he'd like a bit of boogie woogie etc!
I have 34 keyboard instruments in my home....2 acoustic pianos...3 digitals.... 2 Rhodes.... 1 Nord Electro 5D. 1 Korg SV-1, 3 Hammond organs, each with its own Leslie 122 speaker.... and so much more!
