Well hey y'all! We're back!!!! This is the first video in my classroom setup series. WOOHOO!!!!! Don't forget to check out my other classroom setup videos here: • Classroom Set up Day 1 Thanks for watching!
Hi, do you have a video where you talk about your shark decor? I did a shark day last year last week of school and will do it again. I would love to add some items, like your lamp.
I'd get one of the taller bookshelves if you can find one in your building, however instead of moving your file cabinet over on the other side of the window, I'd put the tall bookshelf by the window but it would be turned so the books and/or bins are facing your teaching area instead of out toward the class. You have that tall white shelf with the yellow bins in front of the wall that juts out, so the bookshelf could be turned facing your teaching area and the back of it would mostly be covered by the wall and the white shelf with yellow bins. Hope that made sense.
Hello! I was thinking if you could use ziplock bags for the books instead of the crates. I am also teaching first grade and have found that aside from the cost of the book crates, bags are so much more space friendly and economical. I know they don't look as pretty, but I actually store mine on either in the closet or in a bigger milk crate. Just an idea. I love your videos, btw. :))
Good idea, that might work if my collections weren't so large. Maybe as I dwindle down some books this year I can try that. Thank you for the idea! Thanks for watching!
We have to use something per our district that was approved by the state. Every book has to be visible online. I'm not sure the name of the system but if I find out I'll let you know. However, I have used libid.com in the past with a personal scanner I bought from amazon just to keep track of what I have. Hope that helps! Thanks for watching!
