Love the calmness that your room has with this theme. Can you imagine some lights & quiet music to set the mood for work time?! ❤️😊 I would recommend matching the middle BB on the other side with the 2corner boards you’ve done instead of the “4 corners” matching. Then maybe use the polka dot border on the last 2? It’s my favorite! Love the greenery too! Are you going to incorporate plants?
Ahhh, that would be amazing!! Love the idea of tying in the middle bulletin board as the same as the eucalyptus board so that it looks cohesive. And the polka dot bulletin board for the last 2 corner boards would be super cute. Thank you for your feedback! Do you think I should put bulletin boarder around the chalkboards or leave them?
I love this theme you're going with! Perfect for 3rd. And I think you leaving the chalkboards black makes it look so good. Breaks up the wood pattern. :) love the work you've done so far, and can't wait to see what else you do!
Hi!!!! I’m experience this year exactly the same, new School District and Third Grade, I have only taught preschool for the last 3 years. This video is extremely helpful. Do you have tips were can I find lesson plans ?
First year is truly the best! You'll learn so much just within that first year. Here is the link to the garland! www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B082VSLNX2?ref=ppx_pt2_mob_b_prod_image Good luck with this year! You'll be a rockstar!
Yesss, me too!! It's so calming. The boards with the paper are actual bulletin boards so I just stapled them up. The middle boards between them are the chalk boards and I'm not going to hang the paper up on them.
Hi! I'm a first-year 3rd-grade teacher and I love your bulletin boards. Good luck and I will love to see what else you do with your classroom so I have ideas for mine. I'm going more with the multicolors rainbow theme because I love bright colors but I love the theme you pick for yours! Any idea for doing bulletin boards on walls (what would be best to stick stuff on walls), I don't have any cork bulletin board in my classroom.
I love the bright colors too!! It was my favorite in the classroom for the past 2 years. 😍😍 Yes! I do know what you could use since you don't have any bulletin boards! You'll have to create a fake bulletin board with paper. If you have cement walls, you can use hot glue on the back of your bulletin board paper to hang it up. And then you can hot glue your boarder around the paper. Hot glue comes right off the cement walls when it's time to peel it off and usually doesn't rip off the paint. I did it last year in my preschool room when I needed to create 2 fake bulletin boards. You can also purchase gorilla tape and use that to stick on the back. It's a stronger hold than tape or packing tape and it help up pretty well. If you have a brick wall, I'm at a loss then. Maybe hot glue? Gorilla tape won't stay if it's a brick wall. Also, when you create the fake bulletin board, you'll have to tape up your posters or you can hot glue command strips, clothespins, or clips to hang up anchor charts. I hope this helps!!
How about doing the other side with the 2 on the outside like the 2 in the middle from the 1st and 1by the whiteboard like the 2 outside ones from the 1st...if that make any sense
Thank you for letting me know! I used the bulletin board paper that I had last year in my preschool classroom. I think I'll leave it anyway since you probably won't notice it once I hang resources on it for the students.
Your vlog wqs recommended for me to watch. Glad I did. I am a 3rd grade teacher too. Question: Do you have a designated area where you'll write things on a smart board for your students? If not, wondering if the chalk boards could be that area. Subscribing to view more of your vlogs.
That's so cool that it was recommended! Thank you for watching and subscribing. Is this your first year teaching 3rd grade? I do have a designated spot to write things on. I have a white board and smart board. I think I'm planning on using the 2 chalk boards to hold anchor charts as I'm departmentalized and will only be teaching reading.
