Setting up a classroom on the fly is definitely proving to be stressful. It is coming along and I cannot wait to see it all come together. Focusing on the fact that its not what is on the walls its whose in the classroom.

This is me at the moment I graduated Dec 1 and accepted a position on Jan 10th and first day with my students will be the 21st. 😱 I have been using a lot of teachers pay teachers to print class procedures,newsletters etc If you have a dollar tree they have caddy’s in every color

These videos give me anxiety. 😂 I can't imagine how you are feeling. It takes me WEEKS to set up my classroom. I can't imagine having such a short amount of time as a brand new teacher! You will feel so good when you have more time in the summer to prep for the next school year, though. 😊

I commend you for jumping into a class in January! I did a similar thing last year (I started in mid September after the kids had a month of subs). It was hard! The summer time is when stores have all of their school stuff (especially Target).

Things are usually much cheaper on Amazon. That's where I get almost everything I buy for my classroom. Just remember it doesn't have to look perfect to be a good teacher. You may be stressed, but you've got this!

Use the low tack painters tape for making straight words/lines on the butcher paper. Unlike masking tape it comes off without taking part of the background paper with it. Bonus: 1 roll lasts for several years and makes lining up both vertical and horizontal MUCH easier.
