It’s nice to see a tour in the middle of the year. So often they are made before the kids come at the end of summer.

I’m in middle school and all i wanna do before school starts is study up on my grade. Like expectations, homework, and advice. If any of the kids here are like me and get obsessed with something they’re about to get or an event that’s about to happen such as middle school, I would suggest looking up middle school advice and middle school expectation vs. reality.

I love this. I’m a new teacher and it was kinda overwhelming because I need all of this. Even going with bare minimum you need certain tool to organize and create an inviting environment. 😭

Ooo! I love how colorful your room is! Also a great idea to create your own personal bulletin board. I think its so important in building relationships with students for them to know a little bit about you, outside of school!

I just started listening to Hamilton and I'm obsessed too! I'm an instructional assistant and I'm going back to school now to get my degree soon. You are lucky. When I worked in middle school I adored the sweet sixth graders and I also adored the fun-loving soon to be high schoolers. Happy I found your channel!

I love the attention grabber you have to start off your day, the saying "pay attention with your face", and answering questions with RAP ( I know some places who use RACE but personally RAP seems easier for students to remember).

I love the polka dots you used on the inside of the borders! One tip that I love to do with my border is staple it up a little bit away from the corner and then when it is all up, I cut where the borders meet at a diagonal into the corner so then it just forms a pretty square.

:O :O once I got to middle school it was just bare white walls and individual desks. Maybe some teachers had us in pairs but I think only one class my entire time... Maybe middle school wouldnt have been so horrible if I was in your school!

Beautiful classroom. I’m so surprised that your students don’t draw on your materials or take them. That’s a testament to your classroom management skills. Growing up students would destroy every and everything my teachers would make look beautiful.

QTC Cleo I think it depends on the school you go to. At my school everything was a mess people stole atuff al the time. My school was a pretty low land school but some of the schools in the more populated areas are usually just neater

I haven't started teaching yet, but I love how you have your class put together. It is incredibly positive, colorful, and seems to be very welcoming. I was wondering though, do you purchase everything from the bulletin boards to the supply boxes, the bins, baskets, magazine holders at your turn in station? If so, how much do you usually spend when you re-do your room?

I understand this video is 3 years old, but i noticed that you say that chromebooks should be at full brightness. I encourage you to redact that rule for kiddos with undiagnosed neurological disorders such as autism that make bright lights difficult for focussing. 😊 Speaking as an adult who wasn’t diagnosed with ASD in childhood, thrived off being a great student and hated getting into trouble, but didnt know how to ask for what i needed to succeed.

Loved watching this video! You gave me some great ideas for this school year. Would you mind telling me the font you used for the names on your tech support board? It shows up at 10:39.
