I love, love, love Talbots! I am 5’2”, sieve 10 to 14 petite, 74 years old. This very month I treated myself to a Talbots spring wardrobe. Two dresses two pair of pants, three tops and a short sleeve jeans jacket, plus I picked up a three piece set in their new spring print. I went to the store, so I could try things on., each and every piece is beautiful! I also added a pair of white jeans for my granddaughter. Nothing was on sale for me, so it was more expensive than I am used to, but I saved up. This week I added some shoes , completer pieces. I still need some silver, or gold ballet flats, then I am all set for spring and summer. Talbots rocks! Your pieces are also lovely! I hope you keep most of your pieces.

I found you today YAY! Everything looked great on you! I’m 70 I’ve bought from Talbots for more years than I can remember. If you think the things are made well now in the earlier years ( like most things) they were even better. What a sucessful shopping trip!! One of the best. On the pricier side but the quality is worth it. IMO That light blue jacket is such a winner in every way…the black pointe knit dress as well…and the green dress is a chefs kiss!! Every piece is a winner. 😊. I plan on buying the shoes. I LOVE them! Everything looks great, but you have to keep the green, absolutely! The navy blue with buttons running down the front looks very good. Those two dresses were exceptional. The only thing I didn’t like was the blue jacket that was not for me. The white jeans, awesome, and the heavy blue and white sweater looked so dressy with those jeans. Very slimming. But I can’t stand to be hot so up to you. The blue and white with the orange sweater Looked a “little bit” more casual, but really looked awesome with those jeans. You know I thought the cuffed up jeans was actually a cute look. The shoes looked great, but if they fart, it’s a NO GO! Lol.

lovely quality!! great choices! for $130, the “ escaping gas” sound would be a dealbreaker. If they were under $50 I would go for it. It is hard not to feel self-conscious if your shoes are making weirdo noises. for what it’s worth, I throw that in. Thanks for brightening our days with all of your beautiful discoveries.

Hi Oralia, of course I need to add the green fit and flare dress to my closet, and the white jeans 🥰. Both make me wish for Spring, on these cold Michigan mornings! I've always had a love for Talbot's quality and value, yes they are more pricey, but you definitely get your price per wear from their items (I also try to shop the sales, whenever possible). HI!!! I bought that stretch blazer in navy in petite, and let me tell you --- it is gorgeous!! I sew garment, and the quality of this blazer is outstanding. It is heavy on the hanger, but not bulky on me. I searched high and low for a petite blazer, and most of the ones I saw were way more expensive. I don't think this blazer is at all pricey for the quality. ADDED THOUGHTS: Keep the green dress!!! It looks banging on you. I also like the white jeans and the silver shoes.

I LOVE so many of these items on you. I happen to love Talbots Haven line (nicer lounge wear) and other items of course. I hope you kept the green dress, and I really liked the navy ponte dress on you and both blue sweaters. So about 3 years ago I had a pair of Talbots white straight leg cropped jeans. The pocket lining was a nude color and the fit was great. I am short 5’4” and a size 16. I wore those jeans all the time and at that time I was a bit larger so I may have to go down only one size but I will be on the hunt for those this spring. I ordered my loafers yesterday (Ralph Lauren Wynnie/Chestnut Brown). I grabbed the brown because the sale was too good to pass up and…I have bags I can use with the brown. Please keep us posted on what you kept. I know how good it feels to find items that fit well for us short/plus size beauties. ❤❤❤❤😊

During my time as a working woman in midtown Manhattan starting in the 1980’s I discovered Talbot’s. I love their classic style and great sales. Since I am retired now, I don’t shop there as much but they definitely have some great quality clothes. I love the pieces you chose. They look fantastic on you.

Oralia, this is quite a lineup of classic pieces! I would like to own several of them. Decades ago, I used to create most of my own clothes. As time progressed, I created fewer outfits and started buying them. One thing I seldom liked on these store-bought garments was their metallic buttons. So… I often bought “designer” or “luxury” buttons and replaced all the buttons on a garment - even if the buttons cost as much as the garment itself! Gorgeous, luxury buttons could make a very nice coat into a couture-like coat. Not all fantastic buttons are expensive, though. I think some of these Talbots garments could benefit from a button-swap, too. 😊

I would never wear jeans with the zipper. I already have a tummy; I feel the extra fabric accentuates tummy. Other than that, all these styles are fantastic, even though I’m retired. Basic dresses are basic and take me you to lunches, dinners, even out shopping, or to church. Loved the basic dress you mentioned would look good with flats or even sneekers.

I'm a big fan of Talbots. Classic pieces and made very well. It's sometimes tough if you're on a budget because they are a little more on the expensive side for me but if you catch a sale and if you are a member you sometimes get $20 off coupons, you can make out on your haul. The green dress is stunning - I hope it's a keeper!

I was always fit and trim up until the last few years and I put on so much weight and I don’t know how to dress for the size 14 that I am. I found your channel today and love how you help us find clothes. I would like to see more modeling of clothes because I’m looking to find a couple good pieces of clothing so that I feel comfortable around family and friends. I have never had a problem with the quality of anything I’ve purchased from Talbot’s! I absolutely love their product! I do agree some of their florals, especially, seem to to be a bit frumpy, but other than that I love their product! The shoes you picked are beautiful, but my favorites in their shoes are their sandals. I have the same problem with their flats as you do. I have found they do fit better after I wear them for a while. Those dresses are gorgeous - wish I could buy everything you showed! Ha!

Uh oh. I see why you're in trouble, lol... All those pieces looked great on. I love Talbots, they always think of us shorties and let's face it, plus size petite is an even rarer thing to find. The only thing I can't do are their pants/jeans. They're usually too high rised, even in petites, and the waist is usually cut for, well someone with a waist shape. That green is gorgeous and looked great on you! Thanks for another great video.

I like the way the blue dress gos past the the hip like up under the bra. Its set perfect.

Talbots is a tough one for me. I feel like sometimes they cross from old money into just old. I love seeing the fresh spring colors they are offering though!

They can but I scour the site and hopefully bring you things that are a bit fresher and lean in on classic, not dowdy. 😉
