Piano roll recording Claude Debussy Clair de Lune 

This is the best version of Debussey's Claire de Lune..the pace is perfect!

...and who does not know this famous piece by Debussy? It is probably the most recognized classic work in the world. His interpretation is different than I expected with more rubato, but he knew how he wanted to play it, so we can't argue with that! Thanks for sharing,,Ron❤

I had this piece on a vinyl record that was stolen from me more than 50 years ago. I have been looking for a similar performance as it is more fluid than any you can hear from all modern interpreter. I'm pretty sure this is it.

This song is so beautiful I love this piece so much Debussy was such a good composer with so many good pieces with this being just one of them his most famous one definitely I took inspiration from this piece to make one of my pieces in D major I took inspiration from him and Chopin sometimes, though my music isn’t classical my songs have classical elements sometimes reminiscent of classical composers thank you for sharing this! I subscribed can’t wait to see more from you!

Interesting performance but I don't think this is Debussy playing- I used to own a cd of piano roll performances of Debussy pieces and as I recall this one was by a different early 20th century pianist and not the man himself

A much more “statement like” or declarative interpretation. Much less dreamy than what current day performers do.

Not Debussy playing. He never recorded this piece. It’s the 21st century we shouldn’t still be falling for stuff like this
