A big part of Claudine has died too after Rico’s death. Naalala ko yung interview ni Gretchen where she said na “patay na yung dating Claudine”. It was almost the same statement from Marjorie where she said that Claudine has turned into a completely different person. I think it’s because when Rico died, a piece of Clau has died with him too. Pero dahil kailangan magpatuloy ang buhay, she had to cover up the pain and trauma. Raymart entered the picture too soon as well. Kaya sabi niya she was unfair to her husband because she was not 100% healed. Tingin ko all these years maraming unprocessed emotions si Claudine because she has to survive for herself, staff, family and kids. Idagdag niyo pa yung ex-husband who allegedly (but not proven) stole millions from her & left her with almost nothing. Who won't fall into depression after all these things? After her marriage failed, I think that was the start of her spiraling downward. Her marriage served as the temporary bandaid to all her unprocessed emotions nung namatay si Rico. So when she lost it too, a lot of wounds and trauma re-surfaced. Maybe that was the biggest trigger. She was alone, some of her family members turned their backs on her during one of the lowest points in her life - who wouldn’t have a mental or emotional breakdown? But through the years, she fought for herself and her kids - she survived and she is still surviving. People may say that she is unstable, but maybe Claudine is in dire need of a lot of love, support, care and loyalty from her family and friends. She needs genuine people in her life who are sincere in helping and guiding her towards complete healing. Yun siguro ang kulang sa buhay ni Claudine that’s why she was lost for more than 2 decades.. it must have been hard for her to navigate life because she has no one to depend on. Can you imagine if someone has depression + financial problem + family issues + marital dispute + her career has been affected + public scrutiny/judgments + multiple cases has been filed against her + accusations of her being a drug addict… AND THEN at the same time, she has to be physically, emotionally and mentally available & present for her kids. She also has to make sure that she can provide for her kids and her staff despite the fact that she barely has work and all her hard-earned money were allegedly taken from her. Hindi ba sobrang hirap yun? Can we also just remind ourselves that Rico’s death was so sudden? If we are shocked and grief-stricken, what more pa sa part ni Claudine? As she said, yung pain, guilt, and regret is maybe million times more compared sa nararamdaman ng fans. Kung yung ibang tao nga na namatayan and they didn’t have the chance to talk/see that person before their death, or resolve their issues eventually fall into depression because of deep regret kasi walang proper closure.. hindi ba pwede na pagdaanan din ni Claudine yun? She’s also human. Her regret and anger towards herself is fueled by the fact na hindi sila completely okay at that time. They were going through a rough patch in their relationship. As she said, she was pushing him away, but that doesnt mean her love and care for Rico is already gone. Maybe Claudine was really hurting at that time because of Rico’s confession, and she just needed space. Hindi ba lahat naman ng nasaktan need some time away from the person who caused them pain? I think her biggest regret was also the fact that she didn’t pick up the phone when Rico was calling her. Tapos the next day mababalitaan mo patay na. Isn’t that traumatic and tragic at the same time? How can one truly move on if all these years she’s being crucified by the whole nation? Narerealize niyo ba yun? The people who continue to bash and blame Claudine are major factors that contribute why she cannot move forward. What she needs is support and understanding. You cannot also dictate and tell her to stop talking about Rico because she protected his name for 22 years! She single-handedly carried the cross at the expense of her own mental health, integrity and peace of mind! Cant she now defend herself by speaking the truth?? As she said, hindi rin naman siya nagsasalita to put Rico in a bad light, but it's because she wants to finally close this chapter. Can we just all be happy for her because finally she is doing something for herself, which is to finally stop blaming herself from what happened? Mocking and bashing Claudine is like going back to 2002 where people are crucifying her all over again. And you all tell her to just move forward?? Let's all try to be kind. If we disagree to whatever she says or decisions she made in the past, then let's not throw stones at her as if you know them personally and you are directly involved. Put yourself in her shoes and ponder what life would have been for you... will you not break? wont you fall into depression? Maybe for some they can handle it better and they can move on faster, but again, people are different.. if it took her 22 years to close this chapter, then what's the problem? Ang importante is that she has reached this point, right? And she never gave up. She continued to live even if it's easier to just end it. To my eyes, she is a true winner and a fighter. Claudine based on old interviews from her siblings and friends, they all narrated how generous and kind-hearted she was especially to her nieces and nephews... I believe that Clau has a good heart, maybe she is just too broken all these years to show love and to be loved. I admire Claudine’s strength. Hindi siya perfect and she might be unstable at times, but who wont be? Ikaw ba naman pagdaanan mo lahat ng yun. It’s tragic. It's painful. Only strong people can endure these trials. Kaya Clau, I hope that your true healing will start soon.. it’s never too late to start your life again. Depression is not a joke. Depression has no timeline. It's a process and you can go into relapse anytime. So please, let’s all be more compassionate and understanding. If you dont have anything good to say, you better keep it to yourself. Let's all be kind in this cruel world. After all, only them know what has truly happened. So let’s just show respect. P.S. for those people who are saying na bakit contradicting yung statements ni Claudine from her previous interviews -- well, nobody knows the real truth or her reasons why she had to say those things. BUT maybe she was just really protecting him. And I think it's also the right time to finally set the record straight by telling her side of the story without any boundaries.. so she can finally move forward. Dont you think she also deserves to at least salvage her life and what's left of her integrity after the 22 years of self-torture and public trial? Self-redemption is probably the best gift she can give to herself after all these years.. respect her pain and let her heal, so that everyone can also leave Rico and his family in peace. (i also saw one comment na binayaran daw ako 😅 FYI, I’m not a ghost writer hahaha I’m also just an ordinary fan who grew up watching them on TV ☺️)

For those who are asking/ questioning „ bakit ngayon lang“ after 22 years. Please do not. Nobody can understand it, if you did not suffer depression or any mental health problems. Ako po suffered also and until now may Therapy pa rin ako.. Like what Ms Claudine was saying „ it is a process“ it is real po. Kahit 100 years pa ang abutin ganoon talaga.iyan DIN ang sinasabi ng therapist ko whenever you are ready. It means ako Hindi ang mga tao ang magdedecide kundi ako or in this situation si Ms. Claudine lang… Hindi po ako Fan kasi mga 1990 lumipat na kami dito sa Europe. So di ko po sila napanood.. kaya noong nanonood ako nagulat na lang ako Kasi nafeel ko sya ang sakit, pero still galing sa Puso and I believe her. Thank you po for sharing your Story.. Be Proud din po kasi sobrang Brave nyo. Di po madali iyan lalo na po sikat kayo. Kaya i understand that you have to go to Thailand for your Therapy. Praying for you and for your Children. ❤

I saw a post on reddit where they summarized and posted the key points of this interview and when I read the comments, I saw how close minded those people were, they were invalidating Claudine’s pain and kept on believing false accusations and rumors. Seeing the negative comments there, it’s obvious that they didn’t watch the interview with an open mind. They are clearly invalidating Claudine’s trauma and pain through the years. Healing takes time, and people kept asking questions like, “Bakit ngayon lang?” because overcoming the pain and trauma takes courage and strength. 22 years have passed, and she is still being blamed for Rico’s death. For her, it’s already the right time to tell her side and straighten out the facts on what really happened between them. She kept receiving hate comments, saying that she used Rico for clout and questioning why she still visits Rico’s grave. She has already stated that she only wants Rico to be remembered and to keep his memory alive. Is it really bad to remember the person whom you once loved deeply? Claudine’s trauma and pain were seriously overlooked; she faced a lot of judgments and accusations, such as cheating on Rico or being a ‘selosa’ that’s why they broke up. The right to grieve for the loss of her greatest love was taken away from her, and she had to go to rehab for her mental health because she went through a lot. Bashers will tell her to move on, but how could she move on when some people are still crucifying her? Do you think she can move on if people keep mocking and bashing her? Instead of acknowledging the false rumors and accusations, how about we acknowledge her for overcoming the pain and trauma and finally closing this chapter rather than giving up? She is also human; she has the right to grieve, defend herself from fake rumors and accusations, and heal from everything she went through. Mental health issues, especially PTSD and depression, are not a joke and should not be invalidated. It’s a process, and it takes time to overcome the agony you feel. There are times when you can go through a relapse, so please STOP invalidating someone’s pain. Just because you haven’t experienced the same pain doesn’t mean you can invalidate theirs; people feel different emotions. If your sources are not reliable when spreading information or 'chismis', please keep it to yourselves. Let Claudine heal and move forward so she can be happy without pain, find peace for herself, and let Rico and everyone else be at peace too.

As a mental health worker na araw araw nakakakita at nakakasalamuha ng mga taong may trauma, depresyon, anxiety, naiintindihan ko kung saan nanggagaling si Clau 🥲 lumaki akong nakikita sila sa telebisyon, infact isa ako sa mga taga hanga nla, 9 y/o pa lang ako nang pumutok ang balita ng pagpanaw ni Rico, heartbroken dn ako para sa kanila 🥲. Hindi madali ang trauma na idinulot ng mga pangyayaring ito sa buhay niya. Habang sinasalaysay nia ang kuwento niya para na ring pinagdaraanan niya ulit yung trauma, pero may kasabihan nga na hindi ka magiging totally healed kung hindi mo pag-uusapan ang mga bagay na bumabagabag sayo. Imagine ilang dekada niyang kinimkim ang mga heavy emotions na yan. Napakatapang niya at saludo ako sa kanya, hindi siya nag Give up. I hope na unti unting magkaroon na ng closure ang masasakit na parte ng nakaraan. 🫂 Let Claudine Heal , she deserves the best in life, kahit si Rico alam nating magiging masaya qng masaya din ang babaeng minahal niya kahit sa kabilang buhay. 🕊️ 🩷

I was a big fan of both, and they are close to my heart when I was working in ABS-CBN , Claudine is indeed a good person nakausap kp cya sa phone during that time of Rico’s passing, (I gave letters from a fan) giving me goosebumps). Si Rico I always see him and got to talk to him once on the phone and thank me for my work. Claudine is only human like everybody else, we have our own load and way to cope up please people stop that false judgement, accusations I felt so bad seeing her falling😢, because she a great actress and a good person , she has helped her family so much during her limelight.. people please give her a chance to come back without those bashings, judging but instead look at yourself you are not perfect too, God sees things.. be compassionate.. that’s our responsibility with God. I watched Rico Yan’s funeral live in ABS-CBN 22 years ago.. I was crying a lot like I lost someone special during the coverage and I knew that time that a lot of people were sad, I admit that most of us thought that Claudine was the vilain because of R.S issue.. but I never hated her. This interview made me feel like the missing pieces of the puzzle were put together and made a wonderful testimony of love. Claudine was right, we were all hurt of Rico Yan’s passing even if we haven’t met him yet, how much more to the person who he lived with under one roof for almost 5 years. You are an epitome of a strong woman Claudine. Forgive yourself and forgive us for judging you.. 🙏🏻 May Rico rest in peace. After 22 years, I must say this is the most heartfelt interview from Claudine about her relationship with Rico Yan.
