Jack it's an acquired taste. But sitting here thinking about it, this piece (we call it that since song really just confuses the senses) presented the pinnacle of a great turn in classical music. If you listen to the opening of YESSONGS you'll see where that turn really went 60 years later.
The finale always sounds hopeful after the turmoil and energy of the opening sequences. The joy expressed and the hope contained within the cords played is amazing the hope of a new beginning
Amazing how many members of the woodwind and brass sections are still playing in the Berlin Phil today - and still at the top of their game. Replies below on how many you can spot (join the Berlin Phil's Digital Concert Hall - it is excellent)
I know it is an orchestra. I play in orchestras of all type, bands of all types. I mean this phrase, which i have heard many of the highest level artist I have had the honor of playing with use, that Berlin and Abbado is at the pinnacle. Thank you for your concern. @@neilwilliams7479
Maestro Abbado fans deserve a virtual imaginary donation guys, I was watching videos about funny failures...in a world of technologies all over the place, tell me guys, how can a vehicle lose a tyre and the engine will not stop? Anyone out there in the audience willing to invent the sensor that ties the engine to the tyres at all? The best fun watching people falling down on the home porch...what about adding some rubber anti slippery stripes? My home slippers are sponge rubber anti slippery made...they are safe even on wet floor...what about trying to watch such failures as a best business opportunity? The Stravinskij fantasy on notes might help a lot. Other funny failures, about bad surprises made of unwelcomed animals, a snake on the porch door, up under the roof, let them have new sensors and protect them. I would not feel happy to find any mouse in a garage at all, not even a harmless lizzard, put them Stravinskij lovers at work plizzzzzz, that's what fans are for 💎❤🎉🎧📀🤗🙋👏🌈🎊💎💯🍀💋🍾🥂🎈
