Good decon process 👍🏼 probably the most important step on a white car, swirls and things don’t show so bad but with tar and fallout removed it will be bright white 🤩

Another very informative video Mark! Good to know the difference between the 3 ckays from Bilthamber, the aggression ramps up the higher the grade. For our climate in the UK and Ireland it's good to stick with regular as it works better in colder climates. Looking forward to the next one dood!

Thank you Graeme 🙌🏼 I never set out with RU-vid to just make the same video over and over again with different products every time - I would be bored watching that so I don't expect anyone else to do the same! I never claim to be an expert but what little I do know I'm always happy to share, someone might pick up a useful tip here and there 👍🏼😊

Fantastic video Mark, I'm especially enjoying the series because my youngest has just bought a Citroën c1 so I'll be doing pretty much the same things to her car as you and I'll definitely be using some of your techniques and products. Keep up the good work sir 👍🏻

Perfect timing then 🤣 It was a very satisfying car to clean to be honest, probably because it was so filthy to begin with! Once I got all of the overspray off, the paintwork was actually really nice underneath 👍🏼 Thank you Paul 😊👍🏼

This brings back so so so many happy memories. In 2017 i got a brand new mk8 fiesta. And i even washed it occasionally. One day I noticed some rust spots (even on plastic, which confused me a tad) and was mortified. Took it to Ford and the body shop guy introduced me to 'fallout' (????????). And so began my deep dive into the world of detailing. 5 years and many many thousands of pounds later, i fricking love all this. Imagine if I'd got the red one? Also vowed never to have a white car again, so now have Dessert Awesome Blue! Thanks. Oh yeah, and fab work on the icle pug!

Another cracking watch and very satisfying on a white car seeing the fallout lighting up then turning the snow foam pink. I have been shying away from claying my cars because of having to machine polish potential marring away as I don't do machine polishing. I might use a clay mitt occasionally if I feel it is needed but I do use Mitchell & King Pure as a pre wax cleanser to good effect. I loo forward to seeing what sealant or Wax you use to finish up.
@SparkleanAutos
@SparkleanAutos 11 месяцев назад
I don't clay unless I have to myself John for that very reason. I don't mind machine polishing but unfortunately I don't have much free time for it these days - this was a case of claying because I had too, the paintwork literally felt like sandpaper 😤 - and spoiler alert, I didn't machine polish it afterwards!! Just didn't have the time! But as you'll see in the next episode, it's all good 😊😊 Thank you for the comments as always John 👍🏼

the only thing what i will do once u spray with fallout remover i will cover this with GT decon shampoo by lance and then clay as Decon shampooo its rly slik also will use G3 clay mit as its less harsh to your paint
@SparkleanAutos
@SparkleanAutos 11 месяцев назад
Unfortunately when removing overspray or other heavy contamination, being harsh to the paintwork is unavoidable! That's why I only do this if it's necessary and I'm going to be polishing it afterwards 👍🏼

Great video mate, can you use the clay bars on the glass?
@SparkleanAutos
@SparkleanAutos 10 месяцев назад
Thank you Stuart... Yes you can indeed, it does no harm and I recommend it (so long as you don't drag a piece of gravel across the windscreen lol) - I clayed all of the glass on this job but just didn't recored that in the video.

Never disappointed with your videos Mark. Top quality mate. Can I ask what your go to pads & compound are for machine polishing?
@SparkleanAutos
@SparkleanAutos 11 месяцев назад
Thank you Martin, always appreciate your feedback and support 🙏 means a lot coming from one of my favourite channels!! For compounds/polishes I've favoured Koch Chemie for a few years now, H8/H9 are just perfect for me for cutting. As for pads, well I've recently purchased Koch Chemie's own pads to try out but for the past few years I've just been using SGCB pads (from KDN detailing) - I know some people cringe at that they think of as being 'cheap Chinese pads' but my experience is the opposite! They might not have the ultimate durability of high-end pads like hex-logic etc., so perhaps for professionals they wouldn't be ideal, but I'm only machine polishing maybe 3-4 times a year so that's not really a consideration for me 👍🏼
@ObsessiveCarDetailer
@ObsessiveCarDetailer 11 месяцев назад
@@SparkleanAutos Cheers mate, I was thinking of trying the Koch Chemie out as they seem to hit the spot with everything else & already have H9 on the shelf. Im going to try to correct a badly marked bonnet that has bird crap & sap left on for a while
@SparkleanAutos
@SparkleanAutos 11 месяцев назад
H9 should definitely sort that, the only thing I would say is that it is very aggressive and you'll most likely have to use a finer polish afterwards to refine it - F6 or M3 are both great 👍🏼

Do you use synthetic clay pads or mitts instead of the real clay? That's the newly marketed method, just want to know your thoughts.
@SparkleanAutos
@SparkleanAutos 3 месяца назад
For a job like this, with overspray or large amounts of decontamination, there's absolutely no substitute for a proper clay bar, in my opinion! Clay mitts/pads etc are fine if a car is regularly decontaminated, but they aren't suitable for a 'proper' decontamination as far as I'm concerned 👍🏼
@jlucguerrier
@jlucguerrier 3 месяца назад
@SparkleanAutos thanks for the lightning quick response! I found that I'm using a lot more elbow grease to properly decon with synthetic clay than traditional clay. I use fine grade clay bars but medium grade synthetic clay to get the same results. Also- you have one of my absolute favorite channels. I love your presentation and your technique is world class. Keep making videos and I hope your subscriber count really explodes in popularity. Top quality work and a great sense of humor. Your channel is a hidden gem that I will do my part in promoting.
@SparkleanAutos
@SparkleanAutos 3 месяца назад
😳 wow, I really appreciate that!! Thank you!! Yeah the synthetic bars and mitts are ok if you know there's not much there - for example it's your own car, you gave it a good clay 12 months earlier, plus a good machine polish... and it gets a chemical decon every 6-8 weeks! Beyond that, I'd stick with a proper bar, for the sake of an extra few minutes!! Thanks again for the kind words & support .. and I hope you're right about the subscriber growth 🤣🤣
