norman was hard as nails, the guy love hardball. he told rawls 'we mind you asking ' when rawls asked whether they(carcetti/norman) minded him asking why they were retaining burrell for the short term
The best parts of The Wire is Tommy Carcetti and how he interacts with the other characters he's involved with. His wife, Norman, Theresa D'Agostino etc. You can always see the wheels turning in all aspects of his life. He is part time family man, part time ladies man and ruthless ambitious politician. Aidan Gillen plays him brilliantly.
Little Miss Black Dress Yeah and for those of us from Maryland, it’s clear that Carcetti is based on Martin O’Malley, the former White Mayor of Baltimore who later became Governor, much like Carcetti does
Always loved that this "con" wasn't really a con, per se; it was Clay doing a little work and making three different political entities think Clay did them a favor.
Good eye! Would've been ironic for the department who ran an illegal wire in one of the seasons, if a crime boss like Prop Joe had installed a wiretap in a mantle clock like that.
@@be4unvme Reg Cathey(Campaign Mgr. Norman). Seems almost like about half the cast of The Wire are dead, shit is too real. At least they passed away as modern day legends, to those who really appreciate the show, anyway.
I watched this series when it aired and was amazed when I first saw the actors that played Carcetti and McNulty interviewed in real life and found out that their real accents were Irish & Cockney. I didn't have a clue that they weren't from the US.
One of the reasons the wire is the best is that even small parts like Carcetti's chief of sraff are played by great actors who steal scenes like this one
Lookin back Clay Davis might be top five characters of the show especially when you truly realize how slimy he was , to dam near everybody, even tried to charge his lawyer for taking his case, what kind of person can even think like that
as a Frontline soldier Ill say this, politicians bureaucrats and law makers- all administrators, I hate em. They never get their hands dirty but always wanna write rules on hiw to do things...
