This is not how automotive design works. You do a clay model, that's the industry standard. After that, you build a model in CAD. Still no smooth surfaces. You get class A surfaces in the last stage of the design process called strak. Practically you build the model all over in Strak, every single surface. Now you know a little more. Ummm they do but clay models are industry standard in transportation design sooo that's that.
