I love the LA Dodgers and Kershaw is just so awesome. I'm glad to know he's a Christian because I am 1 too. With him and his wife creating the orphanage and teaching about Jesus is a blessing and I hope 1 day I could meet this awesome guy,
Just because a man is a believer in Christ, it doesn't change the fact that he is a Man people. We all make mistakes for crying out loud. Keep doing what you're doing Kershaws. Hope to meet you guys. #Blessed
As a born and raised since birth die hard Cardinals fan from St. Louis, I’ve honestly almost felt bad for Clayton - on a personal level - the number of times we have surprisingly, in sometimes epic fashion had his number in the playoffs. The guy is THE BEST pitcher of the last 20 years. Moreover, just like his good buddy and Cardinal, Adam Wainwright, is a truly solid person, and proud to share and live this his faith. I remember when he was giving his acceptance speech for the CY Young/MVP award and said, “I want to thank the St. Louis Cardinals. For reminding me you’re not always as great as you think you are.” Funny and a humble classy statement. Have held the contention, that when we’ve been eliminated or not made the playoffs, and the Dodgers are still in, I absolutely root for them solely because of Kershaw.
Dammit Clayton, You and Ellen are amazing people because both of you are kind and unselfish, not because any outside entity made you that way. Keep being great, just know that its inner strength that you and only you can give yourself that keeps you going.
I enjoy watching this story. I like watching Clayton pitch out there during the regular season of Major League Baseball. I always like to understand the history of athletes in any sport and what really motivated them to love their own sport. Clayton, you are amazing, and you are something special.
Hey Clayton.. if you're reading this, you've always been my favorite pitcher. I'm an eighth grader right now, and I had no idea that you and Ellen make a difference for all these kid's lives in Zambia. It's fun to watch you play, especially when you throw a whole game and hit a home run in the first game of the season. Thanks for being an inspiration to me.
You are about to be in your first ever World Series. You've truly been blessed, and I've been blessed to have watched you on the mound. May you finally get the ring you so truly deserve!!
Bless his heart! This is why he is my favorite MLB player for my favorite team of my favorite sport baseball. I’m not Christian I’m Muslim but I believe in god and jesus so I am so amazed to how mature he is for how going he is. God is the reason that he is as good as he is!
If I wasn't already a big Kershaw fan before, I'm an even bigger one now!! Oh, no... I'm also an Adam Wainwright fan, and these two stand to meet in the 2013 NLCS game 7 should there be one... WOW, I wouldn't know who to root for then!
Jesus christ I'm an atheist but I don't get why people are angry thay they're religious if they want to use Christianity to do good I see nothing wrong with that
I'm good with it as long as they aren't self righteous about it and tell you they have the only true answer. I wouldn't give money to a religion or leave my kids alone with a priest. Religion can be pretty evil if you think about it.
Jean Espinosa Religion is based on good deeds. Christianity is based on a relationship with the Creator. Religion is man-made. Christianity is founded by Christ.
Why is it that when a person thanks God another Atheists is the first to jump and and bash that? I just don't understand the shutter ignorant that people have. Close minded people make me sick. It's not a religious rant, just tired of atheists blasting believers.
agreed, if being Christian moves you to do something good and better the earth and others, what's the problem? I don't know what I am, but one thing I take from a Christian upbringing, is just being a good person and valuing family
It's so sad that humans, as incredible as we are, always attribute their own personal success to an invisible man in the sky. The Kershaw's need to give themselves some credit, as do many other human beings. We are humans living in the 21st century. There is no longer a need to invoke a deity into any conversation.
love this I belive and I wish I cou;d help you guys out. I would do any little steps I had to do because all my little steps will turn into one Big step to more help
".....but now I go unto the Father and also to show myself unto the lost tribes of Israel.......and it came to pass that when Jesus had thus spoken, he cast his eyes round about again on the multitude, and beheld they were in tears, and did look steadfastly upon Him as if they would ask Him to tarry a little longer with them. and He said unto them : behold, my bowels are filled with compassion towards you. Have ye any that are sick among you? Bring him hither. Have ye any that are lame, or blind, or halt, or maimed, or leprous, or that are withered, or that are deaf, or that are afflicted in any manner? Bring them hither and I will heal them, for I have compassion upon you ; my bowels are filled with mercy. For I perceive that ye desire that I should show unto you what I have done unto your brethren at Jerusalem....." (3rd Nephi 17:4-8 -- Book of Mormon)
