I got one... I struggle to recommend it. Nice watch, nice colours... I love my green one. But poor support and poor QC. I waited 2 months before I got it as you and your logistics partner failed. Currently I tried to discuss with your support "chipped" steel bracelet which really bothers me from the beginning and they offered to replace the whole watch with original packaging but I need to ship it to the US (I am based in Europe). Then they will examine it and decide whether I am correct on the bracelet. I understand that this is your standard procedure but... I paid 250USD for a watch in June, was supposed to be shipped in late August, was in fact shipped in late September or you say so as I got it late November (customs showing value as 320USD so I had to pay higher fees) and now you require me to spend another 20-30USD and wait more weeks (months...?) because of a QC issue? Something that should prevent this piece from leaving your site in the first place? I hope you can understand my frustration.
Because I’m an impatient child, I always click the link to look at the watch before I watch the video. And I literally let out a Oooo… That’s a really pretty watch. It’s nice to see Micro Brands offer non dive watches. Red is definitely my favorite. Then the blue. The black and pink is… interesting. Thank you for keeping us up on these new brands!
I already ordered one. I ordered the white one. Very heavily designed dial. I love 00 on 12, location, no dots indices, and instead use 24 hrs, all fonts matches. I don't really care they use timekeeper instead of primitive. It is waymore recognizable, way more descriptive and it thesis the design in one word, it is a master piece in terms of design. I learned how to match color and with small elements, you can use more color to decorate. Choosing small second dial makes all these ideas work and, they are bond by the same font. I love it very much It seems the crown at the position is for not affecting the diameter measurement. It is unique. At last is the bracelet. I am not a big fan of Rolex bracelet because they are very big. But in this case they offer almost the best bracelet available on the shelf. And they give 2 more choices. 🎉
That reminds me so much of the nomos club campus and honestly it probably would be a very affordable alternative for a lot of people especially with the colors
That's a nice and kind of quirky piece. I like it. Some changes I might make in future versions: Lume the second register Or, give it a straightup second hand and swap out the second register for a date register
I feel the 00 would make more sense if all the markers were double digit. 01, 02, etc. I like the white one the best. Those "mismatched" colours look great to me.
An interesting one Jodie. Reminds me of a Nomus Glashutte which I really like. I like the colour combinations and the bracelet adjustment seems really useful. I find myself being unreasonably bothered by the 'double zero' at the top though, something about it looks wrong to me. Also I think a Miyota wobbly movement would do my head in.
What an absolute beauty that ticks all the boxes! Original dial, nice logo and relevant name on the dial, the 4 o'clock crown is a big bonus to me (hate crowns at 3 that dig into the hand), nice colour scheme, great bracelet with screws and top notch clasp, 2 extra straps, and a great price. Yeah, this is a no-brainer. I could stand some more original hands, but that is just nit-picking.
I think you have hit the Bullseye with this one . I love everything about it apart from the italic "type a ! on the dial. What numpty put that on an almost 10 out of 10 watch ? The colour is similar to the anOrdain Plum Fume. Burgundy, Mahogany , Maroon, Plum , take your pick.
I like the red a lot more than I thought I would. The black is also not bad. I dont know what the secret sauce is, but Farer just seems to do colours better than the watches trying to be similar.
Some of those colour options definitely work better than others. I don't really think that the green accents on this particular one work that well. Is it just me that thought the logo looked quite similar to the Cronos one? I love the red dial, but when it comes to the bracelet I don't think it suits the watch very well. Especially the difference in finishes on the end links. The white and green dial options work the best I think. I can see the Farer ressemblance you mentioned on the white one.
Any type tool-less micro adjustment for under 400 usd shows that larger brands can do it too ( I'm looking at you Oris). My wrist can change 3 times a day depending on what I am doing. That has become my main decision factor for a lot of new purchases.
Hrmm... seems like a well thought out and quirky piece. I really like the dial color. Not sure how much I love the colors on the small seconds. I also like the dark blue and orange. That's probably what I'd select myself. The other colorways? Not sure they are for me. Not sure they are the ones I'd select for my initial offering. Thickness doesn't bother me, nor does the 4:20 crown or lack of a hacking movement. I love the clasp. Since getting a Tisell, they are my favorite clasps. Of course, my Tisell is the Explorer homage but I'd gladly take a few for other watches though I'm growing to not quite love polished center links. Hope they do well.
Well a good idea is a good idea, so clasp being Rolex like is not really a negative, neither is the crown placement, which I find more comfortable, even lume is good for this type of watch, and you can swim with it. So it is very tempting.
Thanks for another enjoyable look at a new and affordable watch. This one is a spec monster for the price and I bet they will sell a few. I hope so. Always good to see micro-brands do well. For me, the design is off. It feels like someone bought a bunch of parts online and threw them together.
At their page now they are saying the movement is a 82S5. I think the black would be a best seller with a grey sub-dial, and I love the white one except for the green hand (it would be better with a dark blue, or even an orange one.
I really am a fan of fumé dials although I don't currently have one in my collection. Another metal finishing effect that I think would look spectacular on a dial is the effect caused by 'Colour Case Hardening' as used on high end firearms.
I love the 38mm size and crown position, but I'm mostly a black dial kind of guy, and that pink sub-dial is a non starter IMO. This is definitely more up my alley than the huge number of divers that tend to drown out most other types of watch on the market though so kudos to Primative for that (I'm also glad primative doesn't appear on the dial).
Very impressive specs for the money. I don't like polished centre links personally, but a nice looking watch. Colours are in at the moment, so should sell well at this price.
It has a similar vibe as the Nomos Club or MiniMatik for sure. None of the other neat and proper Nomos. There is a sprinkle of a playful nod to the Bauhaus language. Not as much as with the bulk of the Nomos' lineup IMO.

Wow. I really like these watches. I could take any of them. Unfortunately shipping to Turkey from the US is a nightmare and often you end up paying around 60% of the price in various customs and "processing" fees. A $400 watch I bought last year cost me a painful $650 to get it in hand. Getting watches from UK, Europe, Japan and China is far cheaper at about 20% extra.
The symmetry strikes back, dood 😄! The 00 on top together with the logo and the logotype beneath forms a funny unicode robot face 🤖. Once you saw it, it's hard to unsee. Makes it a real fun watch, though ☺️...
The green fume dial is nice, considering AnOrdain is starting to make people grovel like Rolex. Problem is that, as beautiful as that dial is, it limits what I'd wear it with.
Thought they would have gone with a blue tropic strap to pick up the small seconds hand. The dial looks way cheaper than the rest of the watch. It should match the fine finish of the case and bracelet. It was kinda disappointing when you were rotating your wrist to see that dial.
This feels like candy. Grabs my attention very quickly, but not sure if I'd want to keep it long term. I don't know. I've been wanting a red dial watch and a watch with plenty of Arabics, so this ticks both boxes. But I wonder if I'll like it as much in person. And it certainly doesn't have the refinement or design aesthetics as Farer....but I do really want to see it in person....

This is a very interesting case study for a microbrand. The colours and the dial design looks fantastic, especially on pictures and in your thumbnail. Like instant buy good, since the price is right as well. But then, the problems start to mount. It's a chunky thing and midcase is comically slim. The bracelet doesn't match the design of the head of the watch at all. It makes it look cheap. The straps while welcome seem very generic, like an afterthought. Your moans about the branding are justified as well. Great first effort, but I'm waiting to see what they come up with in a few years time, if they get that far. They need to refine their designs to the level of Farer and Nomos but without matching those prices, a tough challenge.
