I took your advice about clearing off the counter tops in my bathroom. I used to keep my makeup bag, hair products, and hair tools on the counter because I had so much stuff under my sink and in drawers(stuff I hadn't touched in over 10 years). One day, I got motivation to clear out all the junk. Afterwards, I had plenty of space to separate and store things I use often, under the sink and in drawers. Now I only have hand soap on the counter and I smile every time I look it. It is also incredibly easy and quick to put things away now that they have a designated spot. I am not an organized person in the slightest but when I'm in my bathroom, I feel sooo organized. Thanks for the wonderful video, Brittany.
A cluttered house is a cluttered mind that's what I say and truly believe it too. I'm the same, if there is a mess I'm stressed out if everything is neat and organised it really just makes me feel happier.
I love your videos, they're motivational!. I remember watching a pantry organisation video of yours before I slept that night, no joke the next day I was at the $2 store buying everything I needed organising wise for my pantry. The system still works 😊
I wish my hisband would stop and look at it your way. He is a total clutter bug. I am not nearly as bad as him (1 or two books and current projects but pretty much stays small and easy to take care of) he is a tornado. He will set things down and forget about them (we call it plooping things down) and then I go around one day a week and put them all where they belong lol

And love the bin idea for baby's clothes... I've been doing laundry and folding all of them, but he goes through them so fast!! No folding would make my life so much easier!
My son is 3 and my daughter is 3 weeks old and life is crazy. I'm the stay at home dad while my wife goes to work so looking for any tips is awesome. Just found your videos and making a huge change on keeping clutter down and keeping things organized. We tried the bin for toys that you did but when they're old enough they just toss toys everywhere, we have bins now, and they get dumped so my son can find that 1 paw patrol that is missing lol. Thanks for the tips. My son just started to phase out naps *Cries* I miss those naps lol. we spend a lot of son/dad time together which is amazing. Sleep seems to be limited as expected. My wife and I have a fairly good arrangement as to nights/days and we're both making it work. I think you're right though, Have fun, do what you can and and keep things simple.

I love what you said about the speed cleaning for about 10 minutes because I started doing this about 3 weeks ago and was stunned and proud of how much I accomplished in those few minutes!
I either call it "timed cleaning" or "take time cleaning". It's never in between. It'll either be hours or I force myself to crunch time. If I "take time" cleaning, it'll be hours because that's really when my mentality kicks in and I can't stop. It's clean but I'm still going. So "timed" I get the important things done and still have time to spare 🥰❤️

Quick comment- if you have hardwood floors in your house then using the steam mop is the worst thing you can do for your hardwood. The steam and heat will seep through the boards and over time, your hardwood will start separating and cracking. Don't ever use a steam mop on hardwood. The only flooring that can be cleaned safely with a steam mop is tile, luxury vinyl planks or tile (LVP/LVT) and lino. That's about it. Use a slightly damp clean cloth to wipe the hardwood. Read up on that. Every hardwood manufacturer specifically states that. My family owns a flooring store so we know. :) other than that, love you channel. Love all the tips. I don't have a kid(yet) but having a very active and mischievous dog that makes cleaning very hard to find time for. This is one of my favorite channels on RU-vid, I take all of your advice to heart and have a running playlist for my future home. I am moving in with my boyfriend at the end of the year and I plan on using your tips for maintaining a clean environment. Sometimes not having a job can cause lack of motivation and energy so its not exactly true. She really does seem like a bod and mind healthy person. I promise once its COMPLETLY clean and organized it doesnt take much energy to keep it up. Its about catching yourself in the "lazy" moments and MAKE yourself do it. Trust me it will make you feel better. PLUS! like she said, its to make you feel good, not a burden or for others. You're definitely a factor in keeping me tidy! I live in a small two bedroom apartment, and have a partner that also hates having stuff "out" and I've grown to love it. This weekend we turned the whole apartment upside down, going through everything we own and did a huge clear out. It felt awesome! My tip is start with the biggest "problem area" in your home. What drives you crazy on a daily basis? Is it your busy entryway, or maybe your cluttered countertop?

My house was spotless and so clean when my son was just a baby! All he did was sleep, eat and play. Now having a full time job it is such a mess! and I am looking for videos on how to manage it
I have 4 daughters, the youngest just turned one! My hubby hates the vinegar too lol that toy bin worked fine when I had one child but now it is such a tremendous challenge not only to keep up with the volume of toys from the grandparents and bdays and holidays, but to keep them w their pieces and such across all ages and actually have your kids be able to play freely. You'll see one day. It is something i still can't seem to integrate and rein in w 4 little girls. We just are constantly cleaning! We have downsized a lot and we do already rotate the bins but it's keeping up w those toys esp w multiple parts etc. I enjoy your videos. I have an old channel I'd like to start back up again... been busy haha making lots of babies....I need to stop!

A day late but I have to say that you are just so inspiring! I have also implemented many of your ideas and methods to keep my apartment as clean as possible. When I talk to my mom I'm always referencing your videos so she can organize her home (she has my younger siblings of 7,8,and 18 and they're messy!). Yes!!! Just found this video. Trying to do a super clean of my house and have 2 toddlers and it's really difficult to keep up with them and still have energy to get everything done. Unfortunately even though I try to keep less stuff on my counters my kitchens so tiny I can have no joke like 3 things on my counter and it still looks messy😋
Setting a timer for cleaning is something I felt was unnecessary. That was until I tried it! I now set a 20 min timer once a day where I clean an area like the kitchen. It keeps me on task and focused and when I'm getting tired or feeling done and look to see I still have another 8 min I get back to it until the timer is done. (working on keeping surfaces clear and paring down my clutter even more) < 3 Thanks so much for your great videos and a reminder that we don't have to keep a perfectly clean home all the time.
Ahhhhh! This helped so much! I still live in my parents house and both of my parents are very busy so they don't have the time to clean the house. I used to get soooooooo much anxiety about the house like: it made me stressed out, I was worried that when my friends came over they would judge me, stuff like that. I've had the same problem with my husband and vinegar. He hates it, but it just cleans so well! I don't go crazy and I've tried to limit my vinegar cleaning to when he may be out of the house for a while, but I may have to do the switch as well... I like having the vlog on this same channel, but I will watch another channel, too, if that is what is better for you!
