About 6 years ago I replaced all of the vinyl blinds with wood blinds, BEST DECISION EVER!! I got tired of the vinyl slats breaking and having to replace them. The wood ones not only last, they also work great as a room darkening when shut. They keep the heat out on hot days and the cold air out on cold days, which saves on the electric and gas bill!! I bought mine off of Ebay... ❤️

We live in a townhouse. I have bad allergies to house dust. Monday we had a company come clean out all our ducts even attic. They pulled out huge amounts of dust and debris. House breathes so much cleaner and fresher. A lot less dust on our wood floors and wood furniture!! Only cost a total of 375!! Reputable business. So glad we did this!!

I have had a dyson cordless vacuum for years and whenever I watched your other cleaning videos, I often thought that your life would be so much easier if you had a cordless vacuum after seeing you lug your big vacuum around. I hung onto to my big vacuum for a couple of years but decluttered it when I realised I had stopped using it because the cordless one is so much easier xx

Hey! I literally just had my 12 air ducts cleaned today by Stanley steamer . They even cleaned my ac unit and boiler . They did everything for under 500. Mine had even mold! A private company quoted me over a thousand dollars! So try them . They will come to your house and give you a quote . There is always a coupon online you can use as well .

Thank you for including outdoor chores! Last year we purchased a .75 acre lot after owner a .19 acre in the city for 13 years. I definitely need motivation to get out there more than I used to to keep the yard tidy. 😁

My husband cleaned all of our air ducts with a machine that he borrowed from a friend. We did it after we installed wood floors in our main areas. Considering all of the woodwork and projects that you do in your house, it may make the dust more prone, so cleaning out the air ducts would be great! See if your hubby can rent the machine somewhere. (I bought wood blinds from Home Depot and they cut them to fit right in the store).

We bought cordless blinds at Lowe’s years ago for our living room. Also bought light wooden ones with cords for our kitchen same color as our wood floor and I’ve been very happy with them all!

I love when you share outside cleaning videos! I can't believe you enjoy them so much. It's WORK!! Now, if it was fall than I may enjoy it because the temps are much cooler, the air is crisp and leaves are pretty. Good for you though, I'm glad you enjoy it. I have recently removed all the blinds from my house. I'm am just done with them. They get so dusty, and they're a pain to keep cleen. Not sure yet what I'm going to replace them with. I'm kinda liking the ease of cleaning my windows now!

We have the faux wooden cordless blinds from Walmart and they hold up very well with 2 kids 2 cats and 1 nosy dog.

I don't comment often but I just had to praise you and your husband for the many projects you've done to make your house a home. I just had mine air ducts clean with Stanley Steamer and cost for my whole house 450.00 I’m in Valdosta Georgia so not too far from Florida And after they cleaned it’s much fresher air and no dust not as much I had before It’s worth it cleaning

We got really nice/affordable wood blinds from Lowe’s a few years ago not sure of the brand or if they still carry it. It was not in the custom section it was in the regular section with the blinds and curtain rods. I love them.

I'm slowly replacing the cheap blinds with the wooden ones. They are expensive, but worth it.

When we moved in my new home about 10 years ago. I bought levolor blinds faux wood. They have been ok. I have broke a couple of pulls because of how heavy they are. I would recommend solar push up blinds. They are affordable 😍

My house is a dust bowl! I can dust in the morning and by after lunch it’s full again. We had our ducts cleaned years ago thinking it would relieve the problem. Sadly, it didn’t. But that doesn’t mean it won’t work for you. Good luck!

I have 10 air ducts, and Stanley Steamer quoted me either $175 or $200 a duct. I have heard that I have some local (small) businesses in my area, that do this. I am going to try them. I am in western KY. Your house looks beautiful!

Hey hun! So I did get my air ducts cleaned and it was flipping expensive but totally worth it. It even made the rooms that where usually hotter than others actually feel like the rest of the house and it did help with all the dust!! I love Toppin! I have their vacuum and air purifier and they have such good quality! See you in the next one😘

The wood blinds are SO heavy and the strong Colorado sun warped them.

Hi I live in Florida part time so I found if you put cheese cloth on the inside of your registers it catches almost all the dust. I have very bad allergies and I give my self a shot every Sunday so this made a huge difference. I also use a air puffier in my home one in the living room area and my bedroom that's my Fl home. You can also get these units added to your furnace. When they put it in they cleaned my ducts in my Pa home I have had this done about 5 yrs ago and I can dust once a week. Hope this helps you.

I have some that l bought from Lowe’s that are heat blocking and light blocking they are pull down and push up blinds from the bottom so no strings or twist rods are attached…they come in several colors and are super easy to clean and run about 35 to 40 dollars each.

So we don’t have blinds we noticed how much dust they collect so we use curtain we can pull closed … usually white ( not sheer ) then we will use a color panel room darkening ones on the other ends to pull closed and block out heat for the hottest parts of the day . We don’t live near ppl tho so we don’t worry about privacy reasons .

I recently started replacing the blinds throughout the house (1 room at a time because they’re expensive) I found that Walmart was the best price for the faux wood blinds if that’s what your looking for. They carry most sizes in store but can also purchase online and get delivered fairly quick.

One more thing about the blinds. I got rid of all of mine about 5 years ago. I replaced them with Roman blinds. Much easier to take care of.

Oh girl! We have 11 heat and air registers in our house and only paid $190. But we live in Indiana. I don’t know if that makes a difference or not. I highly recommend it!!! *** IMPORTANT REMINDER*** Don't forget to clear out the filter on your dryer and even the inside of the dryer - 2 reasons - the obvious so that it works as efficiently as possible which does save on electricity as the more clogged it is the harder it has to work & the longer it takes to dry the clothes etc. Also, I know someone who did not keep up with this & one night she left the dryer running & got into bed & bcse the filter was so clogged & so many dust remnants in the dryer it caught on fire!! Sooo scary! She was lucky no one was hurt - the smoke detector (which there was one in the laundry room) sounded & woke everyone up. Again, Just a reminder ♥ Some facts regarding dryer fires from US Fire Administration - Lint is the leading cause of dryer fires. It's highly flammable, and it's everywhere. Lint naturally accumulates in your dryer and dryer exhaust system. This buildup makes the dryer work harder for each load and the lint can work its way into the heating element, which is bad news. Check regularly to make sure nests of small animals and insects are not blocking the outside vent. More home clothes dryer fires occur in the fall and winter months, peaking in January. Just something I'm highly vigilant about after what happened to my friend & I saw you put a load of laundry in the dryer without clearing the filter. ....or maybe you did & edited that part out in which case - good for you & hopefully this will be a reminder for anyone else - we all forget sometimes in attempting to get everything done! I really didn't like wood blinds. They were so HEAVY and I had pets who wanted to look out the window like Zoey. I've got a celluar shade by Bali now that lift so easy and filter light beautifully. They came from Home Depot and were not expensive.
