Clean Shower Caulk Lines w/ Bleach and Cut Up Sponges 

I hope it works for you. I've also used cotton balls dipped in bleach overnight and that works well too. I've been fighting with this issue in my cultured marble shower enclosure for the last 23 years. I've tried various things on the caulking technique, but what I did this spring when I replaced the caulk was to put a lot of caulk providing a full curved ramp of sorts from the vertical surface of the cultured marble to the horizontal edge of the shower base. Then there isn't a place where water can collect on the flat surface of the top of the shower base edge. I'm also doing a weekly Original Rain-X cleaning/treatment of the caulk lines to make the water bead up and roll off.

@@OTSGVideoBabe That's so smart of you. You don't by any chance have video of your caulking process? I am new to all this and I know I need to learn to re-caulk that shower. It's already wearing out. thx

@@kathencowan I don't have a video of that unfortunately. You clean all the old stuff off with a razor blade, putty knife, and nut pick sort of tools. Lastly, I rub off any lingering residue or crumbly bits of caulk, usually with my finger nail. I use a caulk gun and the big round tubes of caulk. Be sure to puncture the tube with the long pin attached to the side of the gun, I always forget that and wonder why it is going so hard. I just try to get a big bead of caulk pushed down into the gap as best as possible and then use my finger to smooth it out, hopefully in one pass. If you think about how the water would travel or settle in spots, it will help. Good luck!
