Enjoying scents without being cruel to animals is so important! As a vegan I found a spanish dupe house who makes budget friendly and vegan/cruelty free scents that give me the chance to savour the perfumes without animal cruelty. Not sure if they ship to America, but the cover Europe pretty well.
I work in animal testing, if a product claims to have never tested on animals it is a gimmick, a lie. Every single ingredient in medication, cleaning products, perfumes, and so on is always tested on animals. Now the product as a finished product may not be tested on animals, but always, without exception, ingredients are always tested on animals, or they would not be able to sell in the open market. The FDA would shut that shit down real quick.

Admittedly I haven't watched yet, so apologies if I say something you later clear up. This observation is about terminology and information and whether it is helpful or meaningful. Whilst perfumes that are ethically and sustainably made can be quantified, and ethics and sustainablility are meaningful concepts, the terms 'clean' and 'nontoxic' are nonsense marketing terms. None of the other perfumes in your collection are 'dirty' or 'toxic'. There are plenty of brands out there making perfumes in a sustainable and ethical manner without using the words clean and nontoxic. I used to be interested in 'green' and 'natural' beauty so I know that whilst the products may be amazing, they are no safer for me than the stuff I can buy at the drugstore. Everything is safety tested. Toxicity is dose dependent. Everything is a chemical.

I recently tried Rosie Jane Dylan.I found it too masculine for me but I love that cedarwood smell so much that I sprayed it in my family room for an air freshener and loved it!!
I fell in love with the Rosie Jane Dulce!! I'm going to get a couple of bottles for fall/winter to use for layering. The vanilla just smells warm and cozy to me so I want it for the cold months. Love it!!
I have multiple people in my life with chronic conditions and sensitivities to corn derived smells (which is everywhere). I appreciate “clean” fragrance rounds ups, because it makes it a TON easier to research which brands use other forms of alcohol based in their scents.

Brava for bringing these issues to light (of course in your classic, fun, & brilliant way! 😀) 👏 You’re right that it gets complicated when talking about sustainability, toxicity, regulation, supply chain, fair trade, etc. in the perfumer’s palette and industry in general. Educating ourselves really does help to advocate with our dollars for better quality and best practices.😀 I have a St. Rose sample set that’s been sitting on my desk for a couple weeks that I need to open ASAP (maybe tonight!) 😂 I’m pretty sure I purchased it after watching one of your videos! 🙏👏 DSH is awesome! Love Autumn Picnic! A house I’d recommend that follows all the best practices is Wit & West (Whitney the perfumer makes many of her own handmade enfleurages, etc.). Another clean house like this is Darren Alan who makes Amazing stuff (again, he actually hand makes a lot of his own materials). I’m a big fan of the 7 Virtues house, too! Torn by Henry rose is a BEAUTIFUL green vanilla . Also queens and monsters definitely reminds me of love don’t be shy in the dry down and I agree with others the first spray smells like raw jalapeño peppers !

🤣🤣🤣I realized after it came out of my mouth there are perfumes with the note of marajuana! (I cannot imagine wanting to smell like that). But I had to scramble quickly and clarify. 😜🙃
Boy, Skin is so soft, sweet and feels so intimate, that I literally can't bring myself to wear it in public. 🤣🤣 Like it makes me feel so vulnerable that I can only wear it at home alone, that's how much of a skin scent it is. I have never had this reaction to a perfume before. I almost feel that way about Rosie too, but it doesn't have quite the same depth.
Hey Chris. You’re so lovely. Thanks for the great video. I used to be drawn in to the “clean” “natural” products because I was concerned about the ingredients. Now I moreso look to them for a scent that is more true to what it’s called… if that makes sense. Like for me I prefer the scents to be pretty literal. I don’t enjoy the perfumey-ness of perfumes 😂 I recently tried Henry Rose’s full discovery set, but unfortunately I didn’t find anything I like. I like citrus, a little bit of a warming spice potentially, and I also think some bubbliness would be fun in a perfume. I like some select florals too like lavender and chamomile. I thought I would like Windows Down but to me it smelled like a Lysol cleaner 🥲 So here I am, still searching for my perfume… that doesn’t really smell like a perfume. 😄

I liked (not loved) Fall Cashmere. It seems to last a little longer than the freshies. It’s nice but doesn’t really stand out to me. Can’t wait for your follow up on the cooler weather fragrances! And thanks for your response!🤗
I get the hickory bacon smell from Philosophy Fresh cream warm cashmere, I’m sure I’m the only one who does, but I definitely do! I feel like some strong liquid hickory smoke seasoning must have gotten spilled into that particular batch 😅😂😂 So I definitely have no desire to ever try Vanilla Milk ! 🤣🤣 Aww the high school band! Honestly I’m still lacking in this regard😱😱. However I went through my Arizona Bloom travel spray like crazy, so I need a full bottle of that one😍😍. My husband has been on the hunt for a grass scent ever since The Gap stopped making their Grass perfume. It smelled so good on him! He tried lush grass and that was too sharp and almost a little cannabis vibe, which he certainly doesn’t want to smell like. We have Demeter Grass, which is ok, but lacking a brightness that he’s looking for. would you say August Picnic is unisex? Or do the strawberry and rhubarb make it smell more feminine? Thanks! 😊
I would say it definitely leans feminine with the strawberry and tart rhubarb. I’ll have Pat give me his opinion…he has a very clear idea of a masculine and feminine fragrance. 😉💕I’ll get back with the verdict but I know what he will say..
Sana Jardin and Hermetica for ethically and sustainably sourced ingredients. I think “clean” is only a marketing trap and as of date, there is no regulation and guideline to measure those who claim the “clean” labels against.
Hello my friend🥰 I love the idea of 11 11 but it didn’t quite do it for me….I have been trying so hard to find a musky sweet my skin but better scent. I tried the Rosie Jane Dulce oil but I must try the spray because I have a feeling I would prefer that one. Would you recommend any of the Henry Rose fragrances for me? I am such an oversprayer I get a little worried that I am poisoning myself😂😂😂 I should probably go clean!
