The way that my eyes went wide and my jaw dropped when you demonstrated how to show the same measure in multiple folders at the same time 👀😲

How is it this channel has less than 1000 subscribers? You have great content! I hope the channel blows up for you, you’ve clearly put a lot into your videos and I look forward to seeing more.

I looked online, and I I could not find the subfolder info until today. People kept saying that was impossible, and today I'm finding out it's been there the whole time. Very frustrating and also very happy at the same time.

I'm very new to Power BI and your channel already helped me so so much! But this kind of "good practices" video gives me "oh my god, why didn't I do that before?" moments! Thanks! Plus it's in a short format so it makes it a "quick-learn" which can actually turn into a life-saver for newbies like me! Keep up the great work and quality content! ❤

Everything in Power Bi is sorted in alphabetical order..tables, column names,,,so to control this you can initiate a name with a number: 01 Measure name, 05 columna name just as he said during the video

Excellent recommendation to organize Measures. I have a question here: 1. I created a host of measures in my SSAS Model. Can I organize it in similar manner? Please guide. 2. While working, I have also created many measures and surely there are some that are no longer used in my report. Is there a quick way to identify them? 3. If I were to alter my measure name, I need to remember which visuals were they used and fix them one at a time. Is there a better and easier way to achieve this? Advance Thanks.

@@HowtoPowerBI I would add one thing: careful about reports that already use the measures from their previous location. Those reports will display only errors. Unfortunately, you'd have to replace the measure with itself. Learned that today the hard way :)

@@HowtoPowerBI well not really, copying in the same file. For example, I have made a sales value measure, and want to make for sales units, i just want to copy sales value measure and change it to units. Also I have actual, budget as two different fact tables, and just want to replicate actual measure to budget by just copying and changing to budget table
@HowtoPowerBI
@HowtoPowerBI 4 года назад
@@sandymaverick4702 The only other way that I know is by using the modeling view, selecting the measure and then duplicating it to different tables/folders in the modeling view as shown from minute 7:10 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-cGnWPua-cmo.html . I believe those are the only 2 options you have without using any external tools.

@@HowtoPowerBI I need to calculate the average age of this list. The Table visualization does the job this very well with an implicit measure at the bottom of the table. I would like to replace this implicit measure with an explicit measure and place at the same place: bottom of the list. My question: how do I place an explicit measure (I have created) at the bottom of a table, such as the average of a list? I don't know if this is clear.
