Hi Melissa! I am addicted to your videos. I've watched so many and it has helped me tremendously! But there is one thing I have found you haven't covered just yet. And that is how to clean the burners and drip pans on top of an electric stove. Also just found out that you can lift an electric stove top up to clean under it! I just recently moved into an apartment and the stove top we have definitely needs some attention.

Never thought about essential oil on the floo matsr tip. Great tip.

Ugh! A pork tenderloin that slid out of the grocery bag . 3 days later, what’s for dinner? Out to the car trunk and omg the smell had spread through the entire car. I live in Florida. Enough said.

One time in the heat of the summer, my kids had brought the groceries in from the car trunk. about a week later I opened up the trunk and there was a whole gallon of milk in a plastic jug, totally green, and looking like it was about to blow up. Luckily, it did not blow up but I think a gallon of sour milk may have ruined the car forever if it had.

Well, you inspired me to begin cleaning my vehicle. I managed to do a declutter but we have several days of rain coming so vacuuming will have to wait. But it's a start! Thanks

Some great tips there that will defo help me. Couple things I would throw in; Adam Savage (Mythbusters) recently recommended recycled surgical 'huck' towels for shop rags, but these would be great for cleaning too. If you can't find those, the cotton towel refills for the continuous bathroom hand towels are great. I've found essential oils by them selves are greasy and gather dirt, so I mix with bicarbonate of soda and work it into the pile. Third I always keep a pack of baby wipes, tissues and nappy sacks in the car, for quick mop-up and dispose jobs. Bonus: I have seen in Turkey they replace the top of the dash with less reflective material. Commonly they will use carpet, but a nice felt or baise may suit better. Car proud, nah.

Lol, I had tossed a pack of jalapeno crackers into my glovebox, and forgotten about it. For about a year. We spent MONTHS trying to find the source of the weird smell! Note to self: clean out the glovebox! Loved the video, great tips :)

literally cleaned my car 2 days ago! it really is a completely different driving experience and my car looks great!

Be careful with that toothbrush. It can scratch up your interior. Use canned air instead. It works great. Pick up your trash in your car when ever you stop for gas, that way its always cleared out. I have my daughter pick up the back seat every time we get home. I started that when she was little and now its automatic for her as a teen. Keep a microfiber towel in the front seat for quick clean up of liquid messes and quick dusting.

Best thing to help keep my car clean is plastic floor mats. I have plastics floors mats over the regular floor mats. I’ve had the same plastic floor mats for 22 years. Also, I’m too lazy to wash and clean my car so I just take it to the car wash.

Since I got my new (used but new to me) car, I have forbidden eating inside; except super-long-out-of-state road trips . When cleaning, I usually start in the trunk, then back seats, ending with the driver seat so I can sit and enjoy a clean car. Counterproductive but... everytime I clean my car I then take my dog for a drive 😄

Mutt car is always clean and tidy, because i LOVE it and I'm proud of it. It's not fancy by any means, but i wanted this car for a long time. It's a Nissan Qashqai in black. In my previous cat, I was once given a bag of rhubarb and it slid under the seat and i forgot about it. That was a joy to clean up 😱😱😱

I am obsessive with cleaning my car,very particular with it,but I also USE it as well...a solution of vinegar and dish soap + warm water works wonders for fabric interior,I haven't found a stain yet it won't get out!Once,a deodorant bar melted all over the backseat in the middle of the summer...I think I cried 😭 BUT, several attempts with the vinegar mixture,and it finally came clean!

The worst was a flash flood in Las Vegas that put water into my car on the floorboards. It smelled so awful even after multiple deep cleanings!

Melissa & Chad, I'm kinda surprised the Lilly brush wasn't mentioned. I know you don't have a pet hair issue but there are some vehicles driving around that could make a whole new dog or cat! A dollar store squeegee blade will do the job but the Lilly brush is compact and can get into places other things can't. Heather xo

Went to Vermont for a family reunion. We were at a large farm and had to do a diaper change in the back of my SUV. Little did we know that in the 5 minutes the hatch was open, a field mouse had gotten inside the car. 10 days later, we found the source of the disgusting smell under the folded down third row seat.

You need to put a uv protection spray on you panels so your leather dose not fade it keeps up the value and it leaves a nice matte shimmer I recommend aerospace 303

another tip is to use an ultraviolet light and look at the car at night and see all the places the kids touch and all of the fluids and debris that's left that's detectable by ultraviolet

Great video Melissa. Stinkiest car odor? I picked up a dozen organic fresh chickens from my yoga teacher's farm one fall. I put them in a plastic laundry basket for easy transport from car to house. Moral of this story - always count your chickens as, unbeknownst to me, one of them fell out of the basket and rolled under the car seat. By the time we discovered the source of the putrid "fowl" smell, the chicken was green and so were we as we disposed of it - the car smelled like a nasty pair of old worn golf socks for weeks. Ugh!

What vacuum are you using ?

When my kids were young I kept a folded quilt across the back seat under their car seats, this caught any spills, etc, then I could just shake it off and wash as needed. Smelly things, my dh left a gallon of milk in car and it was bad.

I just ordered molded liners to fit my car, and will do a deep clean before I install them. I’d removed my car seat covers, bought when the car was purchased, for washing and got lazy, so I do need to clean the seats. I’m looking forward to moving on from fiber/carpet protective mats. On a side note, while I empathize with the milk and meat left in car comments, I’m so glad I don’t eat those things. One less stinky goof to make. I have had a single apple escape. I now tie my nylon bags at the top, and keep bags with perishables in the front seat/front footwell.

Use extra contact lens cases for small amounts of NeoSporin cream or ointment for “boo-boos” and Vick’s vapor rub for travel - works great! Remember to label with a Sharpie pen.

The worst smell ever in our car was a bag of potatoes we forgot to bring inside after grocery shopping. It was summertime, very hot and humid outside and a long weekend, so we didn't use the car for about 4 days. Oh my, oh my, it was rank in that car for days!

My apartments trash compactor is at the other end of the complex, so it's common to put your trash bags in your car or on your hood to take them out. I did that, and ended up getting egg all over my car 🙃🙃 that immediately got detailed

Sometimes i use to carry my compost with the car to the Municipal Compost Bin as i don't have my own bin... Never do that!!!That's a strong advise you guys 😜🤣🚑

What I did today: Went to the car wash and got it washed first Then AT THE CARWASH throw away your garbage Vacuum and keep you doors open while you clean and protect the interior That way you don’t make a scene in your driveway!

Oh man, stinky car finds.. So, a couple of years ago, we came into possession of a second, partial half gallon of milk from my husband's parents (you can see where this is going). We'd already went grocery shopping that same day, and somehow, that partial half gallon got scooted under the passenger seat. We didn't miss it because we had another half gallon and it slipped both of our minds that we had extra. Fast forward an undetermined amount of time later, and we started noticing a smell. It was sort of sweet, but definitely not pleasant. And then over the course of a couple of weeks, it morphed into a "yep, something is rotting somewhere" smell. We searched the car from top to bottom, and find nothing. We assumed a mouse got into the engine and died, and we just couldn't find the body. The smell was that bad! Well, another couple of weeks go by. One day I opened the backseat passenger door, and I happen to be at the exact angle needed to notice something white peeking out from underneath the passenger seat. I went to investigate further, recognized what it was, and almost vomited in my office parking lot. It had leaked out of the carton (because it was previously opened) and ohhhh, it was rank up close. Thankfully my office has a dumpster on site, so I just drove over to it and tossed it in (while holding my breath). The car instantly smelled 90% better, and getting up the stuff that spilled took out the rest of the odor. We still laugh about the Great Milk Mystery.

I bought from stark bucks the traveler coffee for 12 cups ... they did not close the lids the cream properly. It fell all over my floors . I had no time to really clean as I had an all day conference. It was over 100 F that day so it smelled soooo bad . I had to get it shampooed out
