CLEAN WITH ME // cleaning motivation 

It's amazing how watching someone else clean can make me want to clean too! Thanks for the inspiration.

I understand how long it takes to clean a big house. We have one, its 2 stories and and a finished basement. Our daughters are grown so now it’s my husband and I . It’s a pain in the butt . You don’t have to clean the whole house in 1 day, give yourself some grace. Spend time with your kids because they grow up so fast

We are a family of 6. We always used our dining room table, but we had a small dining room and it was squished. We had an oven fire in January, and had to move out for 5 months while our house was redone. Since construction was already going on, we decided to take down 2 walls, and move the dining room to a bigger room, so we’d have more room for all of us at the table. With taking down the 2 walls, we ended up making a big island in (which we never had before), and now we all end up eating at the island. We moved back into our house may 30th, and have only sat at the dining table twice for a meal. Hahaha. The island is where everyone ends up.

When we remodeled our current home, we made our kitchen island oversized with an overhang for bar stools. We did away with our dining room table altogether and just use the island. Best decision ever!

My husband passed away going on four years. So my motivation is not very strong anymore. But for some reason I was looking for a channel to watch and I found you. Just seeing your motivation and spunk just made me want to get up and start cleaning my beautiful home that my husband worked so hard to give to me. No kitchen island here - maybe one day! Kitchen table is used for everything - meals, crafts & homework ! I also lay all 3 of my kids’ clothes out the night before for school the next day!

We have always used our bar area. Now that it is just my husband and myself we kind of go between the bar and just sitting on the couch. The only time we ever used our dining room table is when we had company and needed more seats. But our dining room is also carpeted so that is another reason we didn't use it when my kids were younger. Then as they got older they preferred to just be at the bar. As long as you are taking the time to eat together, that is the most important thing. I miss those days so much :(

Well i must say: in the morning when we are heading to school and Kindergarten the kids sitt at the kitchen counter, but when they come home and my hubby is home we always sit at the dining room table. We use the breakfast nook table the most. We are blessed to have the counter with barstools and the dining room table but those don’t ever get used! We stick to the 4 chair round table lol

We’re the same way with the kitchen island. At our old house we used the dinning table everyday all the time. Now we have a huge island and we’re always at that and eat at that. Even when people come over they always sit at the island lol.

It may sound silly, but it may help a lot with your back. Use an ironing board to fold clothes. That way you have a flat surface for folding!! Much love 💖😘

We also eat at our island 99% of the time. I can count on one hand how many times the table gets used during the year. Our old house was like yours where we always ate at the table, so it was kinda weird getting used to not doing that anymore 😆

We use the island a lot, but also the table too sometimes. I find we have better convos for some reason at table . The kids leave earlier from the island.

We use both the island and the dining table. I like sitting at the dining table with my feet on the floor. Sometimes if I sit at the island the bar stools cut into the back of my thighs and make my legs fall asleep. lol. I also like us sitting across from each other at the table better for conversation. 😊

I love how Jasper is just watching you mop! Hehe. I find I NEVER sit to eat. What’s with that?! My boys are little still so they mostly use the dining table, but they love to sit at the bar and do crafts (when they are so inclined) and when they just want to chat with us.

Hey Kristin, hope all is well. Thats a big house to clean. I love your floors. I wonder if what Bona would do for those floors. I recently moved into a new apartment and it has vinyl plank flooring and the Bona really works good gets the floors is really clean they use it in construction a lot. I heard and you can add essential oils to it if you want it to smell more lemon or something like that and it gives it a nice sheen and keeps them nicer longer and its safe for animals and children you can use on ceramic tile . Also, I use it with my cedar mop, as well as the spray mop system that it comes with. I also started using Murphy oil spray cleaner for my furniture polish. Oh my goodness it works so much better than pledge. My furniture has never shined better. it’s called Murphy multi wood cleaning spray, but you can use it on several surfaces. It’s super cheap and it’s all plant-based healthy and you can use it on several things and only cost like $2 something at Walmart. Anyway thank you for your videos. I’m so glad that you are back and it’s always nice watching your videos , you motivate me. I love your sausage pasta recipe . Sending lots of love from Florida. ❤

We use the island or just eat in front of the tv. It’s just me and my husband. But when my kids were home we ate at the table.

If it’s more comfortable to eat at the counter than do it, do what’s right for your family. Maybe once a week make a big deal about dinner and eat at the table. Or use it for a jigsaw puzzle or a board game.
