Personally, I have never followed the trends or cared about "what's in". I have always been drawn to black and white and I decorated my room that way when I was a kid and every home I ever lived in as an adult I always decorated it in black and white. I don't care if people think I'm boring, I like what I like and it's what makes me happy and that's all that matters. Like Delia says on Beetlejuice "If you don't let me gut out this place and make it my own I will go insane and I will take you with me!" 😂😂😂😂

I agree and am the same way. We can always add pops of color can be added or taken away each season. Then having to change everything (spending more money) when we get bored or don’t like a color or design anymore.

I thought it was so strange as a kid and couldn’t imagine how someone could live without color, but as I’ve gotten older I’ve done a complete turn around for myself. Now people don’t understand me, lol. 😂

Your house is coming together! It’s beautiful! I love all the neutral colors. That’s also how I have my house. With the exception of fall and Christmas. I love all the traditional colors. But any other time of year, it’s all blacks, tan, grey, and greenery.

Kristen, as always, you're so inspiring. From cleaning to decorating to being so organized. I used to want my home's rooms to look like a magazine spread. Everything nice , neat, and pretty. I've been married 44 years and my husband could care less about any of it. So, I find it quite depressing. Maybe I should decorate for myself. At least then I can enjoy the home. Keep being yourself, birthday twin. I so look forward to all your videos. I'm always in awe. Love your Jasper and Cash too!! ❤

I am one that if I have done some decor or painted a room or cabinets a way no one was and then it trends in I will change it. Not a trend follower at all! I love a good neutral pallet and bring in the color with decor or pillows, blankets, or even wall art! It’s looking amazing in there and can’t wait to see the bedroom in the next one!

Great video. Your furbabies are the cutest. Cash is a sweetheart. Honestly their life is complete just being with us and maybe a great bed. We could take lessons from them, enjoying the simple things in life. I have two German Shepherds and they are blowing their coats like crazy. Getting ready for that winter coat to come in. I love how you've made your home so cozy. You seen so happy there.

I agree! I’ve never really followed trends and think you do what suits you and your family. A content creator recently said grey is no longer in for wall colors, well guess what I just painted my whole house grey & I love it.

I really enjoyed this video. It gives me motivation on what it’s like to clean a clean home with pets. Neutral decor has always been “in” I think what’s outdated is neutral home that are boring and have no character like they look like a morgue

I have 2 of the swifter mops but I use them in the bathrooms for a quick clean they are linoleum but laminate through the rest of the house and it leaves them kind of cloudy and I go through a ton of the pads!!!

I L❤ve your home just the way it is bc it represents you & Donnie so well. I also love that he hung his elk antlers in the living room bc it's his home too!! I compromised with my husband on also bc it's part of our life "hunting" He's so proud of them! I''ve never let trend decide my fashion style or home decor so "Do you Boo" has always been my motto.. lol. This is silly but glad you talked about using different mops... I do the same even with vacuums but I typically try to stick with my O'Cedar mop bc I can use hot water & the options to use different smelling mopping solutions. Right now I'm loving Mr Clean Downy unstoppables. Makes your whole house smell so gooooood, you should try it👍 Happy Fall🍁🍂🎃PS: Love Cash's personality. We have a female black lab "Bella"& there personalities are a lot alike

I didn't know these kinds of videos existed until the other day when one came up in my recommended. I loved this video in particular, it really helped me to feel motivated to clean thank you. Also your house is beautiful, it doesn't matter what people consider "in" if you loved what the space makes you feel. I'm gonna check out more of your videos now.

I've been trying to find an easier way of putting my duvet insert in the duvet. I will definately start doing it this way. Lol. Also, is your comforter a feather or cotton filled? I have a feather filled but omg I hate cleaning up the feathers all the time.. 😅 I love the weight of it though, very calming.

A grey sofa is perfect for kids and pets! If that sofa holds up then I say keep it until your children are teenagers. Then you can get that "fashionable white sofa". LOL I do like your duvet changing advice! I have decided I want to have a system like this. I like to change my linens every 2 years. So if I get a solid duvet, then I can just change the sheets and covers. But I was wondering how people get the cover changed! LOL thanks!

Not at first but eventually. Once they do Donnie usually gets the Allen wrench and tightens up the bolts and does some wd40 where needed and then it stops 🥰

Hey Kristen. Your House looks amazing ❤! Just one thing, the swiffer. There is something in that's not good for your animals. It was 10 years ago i stopped using it bc. Animals lick their paws and when it comes in the body it can cause liver and kidney failure. I dont know if swiffer changed it but it was something like what you put in the car, for the window to get icefree. Defroster or something. Im german so i dont know how to name it 😂. But i guess its on google! I hope it is ok to tell you. 🙈🙈🙈😘😘😘
