In DR 18.5 They've added under Playback > Delete Render Cache > Manage Cache Data. This shoes all your Projects in all your (Data Bases) Libraries and allows you to delete one, some, or all cache for all projects. Great tool thanks BMD.

is there any way to delete proxy like this? or we still have to clean up the folder manually?

There are a lot of good creators on the Davinci Resolve topic but Daniel, you're among the best. Thank you, Bruv.

You can also just go to export project and with that you can restore your project wherever you want.
@Daniel_Batal
@Daniel_Batal Год назад
Hmmm... so, kind of but not really. Exporting a project will save it with the source file locations referenced and create a .drp file. An archived project (.dra) contains everything needed to reconstruct the current timelines/project on any system. Restoring it will add the project to the current database.

Unfortunately that's probably a little too advanced for most Resolve Noobs and doesn't apply to Mac OS users.

Any vids about why I was not able to see the changes in my grade? But just after I undo and the redo? No bypass or so activated. When opening another project it worked just in that moment I was not able to see for example the cahnfes in color I was doing

I've had random shutdowns after updating to 18.1 then 18.5. I wonder if this is my problem. It ran fine until that second upgrade and I've only done one project since getting 18.5. (That's just how short of a time I've had the upgrade. I've only had ine project to do.)
@Daniel_Batal

It’s had a couple of blips for me too. Still in BETA. Definitely send the report when that happens

@@Daniel_Batal I couldn't at the time because I was in between IP services but, definitely will in the future.

All video and cashe should be in external drives as well with any video editing. Not on the main drive of the computer.
@Daniel_Batal
@Daniel_Batal Год назад
I sometimes agree. The problem is that transfer speeds are typically much faster on an internal drive. I tend to keep my current project on my main drive and archive everything else externally
@Robroy333
@Robroy333 Год назад
@@Daniel_Batal SSD external hard drives are same speed or faster through usb 3.0 SATA and it’s a video editing staple to have footage on external drives as if computer crashes you still have footage and projects on external hard disk. As well as more storage capacity
@Daniel_Batal
@Daniel_Batal Год назад
Well, the truth there is "it depends" which is why I said I sometimes agree. Most of us who are making content professionally are using NAS for the sheer volume of work we do. Not all drives are created equal. Not all ports are created equal. So, you have to remember that from my perspective... My target audience does not all have the kind of money invested in their video editing systems as maybe you or I do.

Thanks for the video .. but what's with the vertical aspect? It is very irritating and does not serve a purpose!
@Daniel_Batal
@Daniel_Batal 11 месяцев назад
It’s a YT Short. They’re all vertical. If you prefer 16:9, plenty of that on my channel also.

I know what is YT Short and how it look, but this video is not displayed as Short! It is displayed in my Chrome as 16:9 video with cropped video in the middle!@@Daniel_Batal
@Daniel_Batal
@Daniel_Batal 11 месяцев назад
You're watching it from desktop. Shorts can display differently depending on the traffic source. If you watch it from the Shorts shelf itself (or from mobile), you'll see it's a 9:16 Short form video. Click here---> ru-vid.com5BoxIutgjJU?si=N5jc0oMPnEjk5c0p

Definitely not from Filmora. Might have been a video I made in DaVinci Resolve about their license issues?
