My mission is simple: I help Creators make better video content, put it onto RU-vid and grow their channels. My name is Daniel Batal and I'm a Content Creator, Brand Influencer and professional Channel Consultant.
I'm on a journey to put a comb through all of the intricacies of video editing and publishing to RU-vid in order to help creators create new and exciting content and most importantly.... grow their channels. Sometimes you just need someone to take something that seems hard and break it down into a language that you can easily understand in order to achieve success.

in 18.6 I still have problems with magic mask. this time I tried using it in fusion. It looked good. but after saving and reopening resolve, not all worked and had to re calculate. I gave up. maybe this bug is fixed in 19
I gotta say, this really helped, especially when it came to manually editing the callouts. Only one thing though, you kept referring to the edit page as the media page, and my first play through it really had me confused. But other than that, great work!
Ahhh, this converts the frame or frames to the same oldie-moldie style of freeze frame. I used to have to right click on the clip, go to Change Clip Speed, then check the Freeze Frame box. Your way is definitely faster for freezing in the middle of a clip instead of at the last frame, especially if you leave the Inspector panel open. Thanks! TIP: Change the color of the frozen clip to the same memorable color, so you'll always know which clips are frozen. Maybe someday, we'll be able to assign it to a hotkey. I would give an "F" for that! 🙂
Shift + R is the default shortcut for Freeze Frame in Resolve on PC. Find, Search & customize all of the available keyboard shortcuts here-> ru-vid.comNs7Pr97Z3_0?si=d80ueCEdclzZ6v7U
When tracking like this can you keyframe the shape afterwords in case DaVinci didn't track it quite right or do you need to use a different process for something like that?
Adding video transitions on a compounded clip can be a pain in the ass because you need to extend the clips in the beginning and the end by opening the compounded clip in its own timeline just so you can use a transition.
Each clip, when selected, will have an “01” Grade node to the right of the preview window. Enable Nodes in the upper right if you don’t see it and reset the node grade by right clicking on it and choosing “Reset Node Grade”
Love these videos brah 🤙🏾 I keep getting hit with missing media in my project. To give some background I have two sd drives of footage inserted into my computer. Is there an easier way to commit the clips being used in my timeline to the project media then manually going through and dragging them over 1 by 1 from the drives? There seems to be a better way to go about everything so far. Your videos help major. Mahaloz
While working on a project, as well as saving it, archive it on your local system. Archiving is like saving, but with all the assets included. That will allow you to have everything on your system until the project is completed
It’s much more intuitive once you learn the nodes system. Start here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-XZcu0CVcQsQ.htmlsi=tDHAlITDdYh97gxD
I have a question, what if I had 3 pictures on the wall and wanted to animate them? How would I do that? I can get the one picture open, but when I try the 2nd, it doesn't work.
Add a 2nd polygon mask connected to your Media In node, draw the next mask up in your preview window but up in the upper right controls for that mask, change the Paint Mode from Merge to Subtract. Now you should see it. You can add more the same way.
Well that’s a loaded question! Here are two answers. Green screen: ru-vid.comYV5TqjSnxlc?si=VzidPTNDFjxZSRoz No green screen: ru-vid.comH_nF5pPwb9w?si=unwrTwmDDpxN2_wk
does it really take so many time and passages to simply fade in or out? it should be istantaneous! can't believe there are no other ways to do it EDIT: i found the actually easier way LOL
The fact that we can’t manually add points to the automation is insane. Unacceptable for a “professional” video editor (To be clear - I Love DaVinci, but we need manual keyframes/points for audio automation).
I'm a little late to the game. Just wanted to thank you. This video really did explain fusion in a way I can understand. Thank You again. Just subscribed
ahh, finally no 20 minute long videos that don't get to the point. Thank you for your content! I'm definitely using you as a reference for my video edits!
Don’t let Fusion intimidate you. The sooner you get more comfortable with it, the faster you can unleash its potential. It’s by far the most powerful page in Resolve. ☮️
timeline gives me headache idk y but contrary to almost 85% i understand fusion better. I think the people who are good with algorithms and flowchart might find fusion very interesting
