I used a combination of both. I think I went around vents and stuff on roof with 4" and a long the edges with 6". It is extremely sticky. As far as going along the edges I think I found the best solution as seen in the video. Let me know how it goes for you if you use it. I could have cleaned the complete roof first but felt that I didn't want to track all over it while working on the tape. It is not ok, to stand on any slide, the downward force on the light roof is not meant for weight above 80 lbs

Hi and thanks for watching and the comments. I cleaned everything real good including the gutters. I then rolled the tape down into the gutter the best i could. It does cut down the capacity of the gutters a bit, but doesn't appear to be a problem. The reason I went into the gutter is the way mine is built, the screws holding the gutter go through the gutter, through the sealing putty, through the roofing material and into the wall. That is a huge leak potential right there! They seal the top of the gutter metal to the roofing material with a tiny bead of caulk. I show that in my video. The caulk dries out and can let water down behind the gutter and into the wall. The tape is holding up very well and staying adhered nicely. The think I have noticed however is that it expands and contracts a good bit. Some days it appears wrinkled and some days it's laying nice and flat.
