Cleaning a Vintage Rolls Razor

These Rolls Razors are great. The last time i shaved about 4 years ago, it was with one of these, and bar a cutthroat, provides an amazing shave with minimal damage. I don't think i cut myself once.
This one, came with the original box and a few other bits of ephemera and was in a good but dirty condition.
This video is just a quick clean up with Peek Polish.
This is just a quick video while i'm still editing the EDL lamp video, which i'm hoping to be finished by the end of the week.

The first time i shaved was with my dad's rolls back in the 70's. i still use one today.

Dude way to much work and time you put in on it all you have to do is just take it all apart and dip it into ultrasonic cleaner to clean in 10min all dirt is off and it is polished like new no elbow grease needed. Then for added protection against moisture put on a layer of polishing wax then buff for That extra shine and layer of moisture protection . Also rub baby oil on the leather and stone then put some drops of lube oil on the gears in the inside of the chamber tracks for smooth sliding back and fourth . BOOM NEW AGAIN

Are you going to buy me the ultrasonic cleaner? Look, there's many ways to skin a cat,a nd i find this sort of thing relaxing.

Nice But do not store the handle were you put it It should be at the side Reason it handle sticks when closing lid it will crack the hone in two rendering your rolls razor Useless Hope this hows

Thanks, never really had a problem with it, but i can see how it might cause a problem. Might look at the for future cleanups.

Haha. Good comment. I had not ready your comments before give my longer. More winded. Embarrassing reason how the handle should be done. Worth reading. I learned the hard way. Band of brother told me. Lol

Thanks. All on all about half an hour. The peek polish is really good at bringing everything up quickly. There will be another video coming up soon. A nice victorian cruet set will silver plated parts which was in pretty tarnished condition.

Peek Metal Polish. I use it for most quick projects like this.
