An absolute delight to watch this informative video. I have had the Platinum for at least 6 years, love it, and today, she will get her first major cleanup!!! A million thanks!!!! Jeannette in BC Canada
AWESOME video! I've had my titanium for 5 years now and she was pretty dirty! Lots of caked up espresso in the burn grinder. All cleaned and the video was fantastic... thank you, she's like new again!
This video is a life saver! I have an old reconditioned machine and at the least suggestion of oily beans it jams. I now feel quite at home in there with my paperclip. Very many thanks from the UK.
Great job Kathy worked great! Making fantastic coffee again! I was able to align both painted spots (inside and outside grinder) to the 3pm slot with no issues.
Hi Kathy, I'mad of my Titanium, but recently I noticed that loses water from the right side. Any idea of what problem should be? Thanks in advance. You and your videos are amazing :)
Brilliant video but I had the same problem as Jim, coarse ground and weak coffee, I found on my machine when putting the burr grinder back in, it actually rotated anti-clockwise to a position closer to seven o clock (and then turned back to 3 o clock) I am now sipping a marvelous espresso Thank you!! ,
Superb video. Thank you! How would you go about cleaning the brewing unit? Any soap? Also, I'm looking at buying a used one. How long do these units usually last? And what is it that usually breaks down? Is it possible to get replacement parts? Thank you!
Thank you very much for this video! thanks to him, I realized that someone (service probably..) poorly configured calibrations, as a result of the coffee was very weak .. Now it's perfectly fine! Pozdrowienia z Polski :)
Thank you so much it said "grinder blocked" followed the instructions and it works again only the sound of the grinding is not what it used to be (Lower pitch is best to describe like it has to work harder to grind)
Hello Kathy thanks for clear instructions, it helped! Now my machine kees on telling that the watertank is empty, but it is not And also the floater just floats... Is this a software Problem? Do you have an idea how to sloven this, by eresetting the machine or something like that? Thanks for your answer and time and Greets from Holland!
Hi CW, Here's a link to out support wiki for the Titanium directly to the section for "Refill water tank message will not clear": wiki.wholelattelove.com/Gaggia_Titanium#Refill_Water_Tank_Message_Won.27t_Clear
Studio Fonkel 8000 cups...as my teenage daughter would say "You saved a lot of doll hairs". So, what does the office think about you taking the machine home?
Hi SA, You are welcome for the video. Sorry you are having a leak. There might be an issue beyond the brew unit causing the leak. If in the US call our tech support at 585-924-7170 and they can help diagnose.
Hi! I have Gaggia titanium office and got the problem after cleaning and calibrating it .I followed the video here...after done cleaning it and tried to make a expresso but cannot make one coz it still always says coffee beans empty even i press it 5 times. I even tried to clean and calibrate it again just in case i missed something but then still same thing happened. What do u think i should do to make it work again. Grace
+Linette Pabines Hi Linette. Talked with our service tech about your problem. Potential problem may be the first time grinding after your clean/calibrate the grind was set too fine and clogged the coffee chute. He suggests cleaning again (sorry!) and when you use it for the first time have the grind set at 10-12. Hope this helps!
+Whole Latte Love Hi! Thank you for your reply and advice. Followed the instructions and it works now. the problem now was coffee comes out very little ..just dripped. It says ventilate and followed the instructions here how to ventilate after done still the same. This only happen when used bean to cup but using the pre grind coffee works normally and hot water works fine too! I even descaled this and run the full rinsing cycle but still the same. What do you think is the problem?Hope to hear from you soon coz desperately like to prepare bean to cup coffee.
Linette Pabines Brewing from pre-ground or beans uses the same process once the grounds are delivered to the brew group. If you are getting good flow with pre-ground and just drips with fresh ground we suggest setting the grind coarser and/or reducing the coffee dose by turning dial in hopper towards the minus setting. Every coffee is different and assuming the pre-ground you are using is different (at least in grind size) than the beans. Different coffees will have different flow rates. What type of beans are you using? Any chance it's a dark roast with visible oils on the surface?
thanks for the video! it was very clear how to do it. However, after making the first few espresso's it seems that the grinder doesn't work properly. So the beans are coarsely grinded. the espresso gets real watery. What to do?can somebody please help? Thanks in advance
Any reply to my comment? Little mistake: my Gaggia Titanium loses water from left side, not the right one as I wrote in my last comment! Wholelattelove staff, can you help me?
Hi I have cleaned Gaggia Compact. Unfortunately I get the same error like what Linette mentioned, based on the suggestion I increased the grinder to 12 but the message "coffe bean empty" does not go away. Any ideas from tech team.
+Milind Naik Sounds like something is preventing beans from getting into the grinder. These machines generally sense no beans based upon the grinder spinning at higher RPMs than if they were grinding beans.
grazie a te ieri abbiamo giustato la macchina caffè seguendi ni tuoi consigli .... peccato solo che e in inglese ma guardando il filmato passo per passo funzionato tutto
redtruck32 Option 1: With no descaling solution in the tank (just plain water), trigger the automatic descaling cycle. Allow it to run through to completion. The machine doesn't know that no descaling solution was used, only that the process is done and will nix the alarm. Option 2: If the machine has the option (not many Titaniums do), enter the machine's menu. Scroll up or down until you locate the "Signal Descale" option; Hit OK. It will read: "Signal Descale No" Hit the down arrow. "No" will become "Yes". Hit OK. This will reset the descaling timer. Option 3: Factory Reset. This clears timers and errors, but requires re-programming the drink volumes and any power on/power off timers.
