We are empty nesters with 4 adult children and 6 grandchildren. We enjoy our home being neat and tidy but really love when the whole gang is over for a swim party and there’s noise, toys all over the place and everyone enjoying good food.

You get so much done all of the time it's crazy! Don't forget that you're allowed to take a break too 😊❤️ I heard someone on a podcast say something along the lines of that we shouldn't measure ourselves by how much we accomplish; we're not machines. We can not be 'productive' all the time. That's not what humans are designed for. The only questions that we should ask ourselves at the end of the day that matter (instead of 'what did I accomplish?') are: Did I give joy? Did I feel joy? Did I love? Just something to keep in mind ❤️

After 6 weeks of a knee injury finally feeling better and popped on your video and did the deep invisible cleaning!! Hi Kim, i just did a binge catch up with you and when you were going through your candles it reminded me of something I do. Put one of your candles in your car under a seat or tucked away in the back. As the heat from the sunny outdoors warms up your car the candle will release its fragrance. Depending on the brand you can leave the lid on or off to adjust the intensity of the fragrance.
I love my Bissell Crosswave! My whole house is tiled and living with 4 dogs and 5 kids the floors take a beating. I usually have to empty the dirty water tank 5-6 times and fill the water/cleaning solution bottle 4, but after a good 2 hour workout, my floors are clean and shiny!! This was the BEST KIM'S CLEANING SERVICE AT YOUR SERVICE suggestion, and who knew how much joy an appliance could give 😊

I’m in the trenches my first is getting her first few teeth she is one now and they are all coming at once , I’m a SAHM and so darn blessed but boy the days are hard but I love the idea taking it hour by hour !!! 😭😭😭I wish I could come over and help or just give you a hug, I know how you’re feeling it can be so hard. Another perspective I would often do in my mind was think… if I was 70 and had a chance to come back and snuggle my baby one more time in this moment. It totally calms me and often makes me cry. Obviously that can be hard to do too when the baby has been fussy for such a long time and you’re just needing a break 😭😭😭

I'm so glad you do voiceovers instead of just playing music. Because when I'm using the body-doubling method, if I wanted music, I would turn on Spotify. If I want a funny friend and another human I can clean with, I turn on The Wads.

Great video. My dream kitchen would be light to med stained cabinets. A huge island, double oven counter top stove, fridge with no freezer ( I got a big deep freeze so don't need the freezer in the fridge). Need just a huge fridge. 9 in the family so need the room. Need a huge pantry (prob 3 xs your pantry Kim.) We do tons of canning. One the walls I wanna have a section for all the cast-iron that we have. On another wall I have old like Charle brown cookbooks, stone soup cookbook, disney cookbooks and much more. I'd frame them all. There's alot more I would do to the kitchen. Have a great wkend.

As you were cleaning the wall where you have the chairs to eat, it brought to mind that we have tile on that wall and I highly recommend it. It also looks classy! The girl next door. ;)
It was thanks to you that I finally took the leap and got myself a crosswave, and I have also made the mistake of not cleaning it out before putting it away 😝 something that helps is to make a space where you can let the filter air dry when you are done with it because that's the part that holds onto the smell even after cleaning it out. Amazon sells a three-pack of replacement filters so you could rotate them around too. 👍
Retired from Job B yesterday. I didn’t hate it, and it paid well, but I need time to clean my house and go thrifting vs watching someone else do it. Thanks for pushing me to get my life together.

Kim I saw a picture of a storage idea for water bottles and I thought of you. Get one of those shoes caddys with all the pockets that hangs on a door. Store the water bottles in the pockets. I was thinking on the back of your pantry door or inside the door to that closet under your stairs. 😊

Hey Kim, so nice to see you! I used to have this mop and I'll give you a tip. Put a small trash can of clean soapy water next ti the wringer. Then all the dirty water will go underneath and you wont be mopping with dirty water! 😊❤

Loving you as normal, I loved the little kid stage it was the best time of my life, in hindsight. Lol. Not seeing a light at the end of the tunnel is so true but I am old now and seeing the light racing down the tunnel towards me is a real thing now, how can I slow it down. It all goes so fast, enjoy every minute.

Wentworth and Wolfgang are the same ages as my 2 boys! They remind me of mine so much! Such a fun age gap between them. It’s neat to see how the older brother plays and interacts with the little brother. ❤
Kim I’m telling you, I’m 42 and have 6 kids. My youngest is 10 and my oldest 25. 3 are out of the house and the three younger kids don’t make messes anymore. They don’t really need a lot of help with things now. And I promise you, you miss it. You miss the laundry piles and toys everywhere. You miss the meltdowns and dishes. Having all this time on my hands is boring. Nothing better than having a house full of little ones.
For mosquitos - the only thing that has helped me (they love me unfortunately!) is Dr Bronners Peppermint Soap - I dilute it with water in a spray bottle and spray it on before walking the dog - It is the only thing that works for me. Hope it helps!
I like to remind myself and my kids, during the tough times: it won’t always be like this. My DIL was flustered at Kroger and dropped a gallon of milk. At the crowed check out. She was so overwhelmed and remembering it won’t always be like this helps to push thru it

I thought I was the only one who liked listening to QVC, especially Christmas in July and the food stuff. My husband thinks I'm crazy because of it. It's relaxing to me to sit and watch it with a cup of coffee.
Yes, as long as we are doing a good job at teaching our kids to be independent, the day comes where the to do list gets smaller. My twins are 13, they have been doing their own laundry at age 12, they have take turns to cleaning the kitchen after dinner, their own bathroom, I never had to care for their dog. This creates confidence In our kids, they are able ❤
I’m a mom of four, due with number 5 in December and my oldest is 6. 😂 I’m still in the thick of it, but my 6 yo is getting big and he is so helpful. He doesn’t cook anything yet but now that you said your 7yo made eggs I might start teaching him more stuff.
