Not everyone can put a screen protector on their devices perfectly. There is still a way to take the stupid bubbles and dust out of there. Just use tape and the dust will come right out!
Thank you! I was about to throw my expensive glass away after I accidentally got dust on the sticky side and thought I was doomed. Thankfully I found your video. I used the tape method, and all the dirt disappeared and the glass sticked even better to my screen :) Cheers!
I bought the same screen protector for a phone and was wondering if you could do the tape trick with them. In the past I have only done it with tempered glass and thought these thin, dry-apply plastic films were a one-shot type of deal. Your video really helped and now I can install with confidence. I'm a professional screen protector installer (I get paid to do this) so I know what I'm going to do, but here's a tip for anyone else who reads my comment: I wouldn't recommend lifting the protector up that high since it's easy for it to catch more dust that way, but doing this with the screen protector lifted up while being held as close to the device as possible will ensure greater success.
jesus christ thank you so much. brand new phone, brand new screen protector. i took every step the manufacturer told me to in order to reduce chance of dust getting under the protector and it STILL happened. i was so frustrated and googled this with no hope but this saved me. thank you
Worked for me! If you can’t lift the screen protector with tape, use the plastic wedge that usually comes with the product or use a credit card to lift. Comes off surprisingly easy
This trick works SO well. Just got the switch oled, installed protector then noticed a piece of hair. In pulling off the hair with microfiber I made it 10x worse. This trick fixed it up good as new. Just be sure to make sure you while off the dust on the screen as well from holding up the screen protector and check both the adhesive and the screen and lay down the protector removing bubbles as you lay it back small bit by bit and WALA. Thanks. Saved me 15 bucks.
Thank you for saving my brother's screen protector! We had almost lost hope and let it sit there for months and then one day i decided to fix it. This video helped so much thank you!
That sux, I peeled it back just like you said, had the tape ready, then applied the jackhammer, now my device is ruined, and I can’t find the part in the video where you mentioned the jackhammer now.
Really helpful video. I fitted one protector to my iphone and got dust spots. I removed it and threw it away. I fitted another and the same thing happened and I threw that one away. I fitted one on my new sat nav, same thing and threw that away also. Its costing me a fortune. I hate dust spot, I'm a bit OCD about that. So Ive just fitted my 2nd protector to my new sat nav and had 1x dust spot inside that. This time I found your video and remove the spot successfully but now one corner wont completely stick down!!! I may have to fit my last one and do it all over again. Its costing me a fortune. Anyway thanks for the video.
You would not have to remove the dust under the screen protector if you would use a vacuum suction before putting the glass. It sucks in all the dust in the air.
not applicable on my end, my tempered glass is too strong for it to be lifted by a tape. I need to use my fingernails to do it on the edge, and having a hard time to put the tape to get the dust. I did tried it but failed, and even almost added more dust.
Bro please help me.. I put the screen protection glass. The bubbles stucked between them.. I don't know what to do then I removed the tempered glass but I found that the particles stucked under the original screen.. What to do.. The particle is not under the tempered glass. It is under the screen.. Real screen.. Plz help me
